K I T T Y E R_ R I O Yeah he was pretty good until he went insane biggrin I don't think he's gone insane. I think he's just tired from dealing with all the dramatic bullshit. Add in everyone's whining and I can see why he got more aggressive.

Thought Rick was the better leader, Shane did have good intentions in "protecting" the group. If one recalls, Shane Walsh was the original leader before Rick came along. He proved that he was capable of handling situations and everyone got along with him. The real trouble started after Rick Grimes appeared and the romance between Lori and Shane was done with. Shane constantly had to prove that he was still the leader of the group, and he HAD to upstage Rick on everything. Of course we all know that this eventually led to his own downfall.
Dale was never a true leader, he was more the voice of reason and was unfairly killed off near the end of the second season.
Either way you see it, Shane and Rick were both great leaders and had their own ways of handling problems. Personally, the sheriff gets my vote, but let's have some sympathy for poor old Shane bby.

Rick for sure.
I'm sure Shane was a good leader before Rick came along, but after that, he just started losing it.
... which is kind of what's going on right now with Rick, but I think he has every right to act the way he is. I'm sure he'll bounce back eventually. Or at least, I hope.

Dale was more of a father figure, he wanted to look out for everyone's best interest but really had no leadership skills. Shane, let his head get in the way and started becoming a control freak. You can't think on your feet when you want to control situations that have no known outcome. Rick is doing the best he can, now if he would just stop second guessing himself - he'd pull it together.
