Revenant
Revenant's are warriors of sheer will forged through the fires of combat and tempered in the blood of their enemies. They earned their name through the fear they drove into the hearts of enemies standing before them on the battlefield. Capable of converting their energy into a black coating that armors their body, and can be formed into weapons. The shadow-like coating seemingly appears out of nowhere and spans across their bodies, and is their first line of defense, and offense. They aren't inherently good, or evil, despite the latter being how most of the world views them.
The list in bold, below, applies to all skills of this style unless otherwise stated in the skill. Each skill will state their own cool-down period; number of posts that must have passed before you can use that skill again.
Once you reach Stage-IV, the cool-down periods are halved. This is the amount of time your skills can remain active before dispersing into nothingness. Each time you rank up, the amount of time the skills remain active is increased. Note: The cool-downs for each skill pertain ONLY to that skill. They don't have to wait for the cool-down to end to activate a separate skill or ability.

The Carapace can withstand attacks up to the same rank as that of the Revenant.
For example, if the Revenant is a C-Rank, then its Carapace can withstand up to C-rank attacks.

In stage one, the Revenant begins to gain basic manipulation of their 'Carapace'. Their skin even when no skills are activated is about as strong as leather. At this point when they manipulate the Carapace and make it appear they can control it enough to cover a limb. But in order to even gain this small stage of manipulation they must meditate, and focus on moving the Carapace to the designated limb. Through a process of meditation, and the tensing of the muscles in that area to move the Carapace throughout the body and to the surface. Once they have completed a ten post meditation they may begin learning the basic skills of this style. Though physical training is advised, as this is a very physical race, and it will be required later on to move on in stages.
Hardened skin | PassiveThe skin of the user, even without skills being used, is as durable as leather.
Carapace Gauntlet | Rank CThe user is able to manipulate their Carapace covering one or both arms arm. The arm will turn onyx black as the Carapace forms and coats the Revenant's arm from shoulder to finger-tip. Don't misunderstand this skill. It isn't just for defense. The punches from this can deal great blunt force damage.
Cool-down: Four posts.
Carapace Grieve| Rank CThe user is able to manipulate their Carapace moving it to cover one or both legs. The Revenant's leg will turn onyx black as the Carapace forms and coats the limb from the hip down. The kicks from this are capable of dealing formidable blunt force damage.
Cool-down: Four posts.Hell's Grasp | Rank CInstead of manipulating their Carapace and making it form around one arm the user covers both hands, feet, or one of both. Whatever the user prefers. Instead of focusing on defense, this attack is more offense oriented, despite being able to withstand anything C-rank or below. Anything else will shatter them upon impact. The claws go on each finger, or toe protruding five inches. It is impractical to use a weapon in a hand with this skill active because you couldn't possibly grip it. This only covers the hands or feet; arms and legs are still open to attack.
Cool-down: Five posts.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxѕтαgє ιι
At this stage the user has become able to manipulate twice as much of their Carapace. So they are able to cover twice as much space. Though they are at this point still limited to certain ways of manipulation. They gain this stage through physical training and meditation, and the same process of tensing the muscles to gain control of moving the Carapace to cover the skin in the designated area. Ten posts of physical training, such as sparring or actual combat, and Ten posts of meditation.
Phantom Blades | Rank B
The Carapace forms a one foot long double edged blade on one or both hands that is extended from the knuckle of the user. The armor forms down to the elbow, allowing for more of a defense when fighting with this skill, and with it is as sharp as high quality steel forged sword it is quite capable as a weapon.
Cool-down: Eight posts.
Carapace Breastplate | Rank B
This skill covers the shoulders, back, chest, crotch area, and stomach of the user in the Carapace armor. Making this skill a literal life-saver in many cases. Whether it's deflecting arrows, or simply stopping an arrogant man's fist it's always nice to have that added protection
Cool down: Eight posts.
Spikes of Wrath | Rank A
This skill has the user's body create up to three 12 inch long, 4 inch wide spikes. They can be produced from anywhere on the users body, almost instantly. Though unlike other skills these fall off after the initial post.
Cool down: Eight posts.

The neck and up prior to this stage were unable to be covered in armor, therefore making it one of the few weak-points. This stage consists of more meditation and focusing on moving the Carapace to the users neck, and head. Once the users head is covered the true form of the Revenant can be seen. The canine teeth of the user extend to be a couple of inches long, their eyes become one solid glowing color, and their ears seem to become pointed and Elf-like. Once it breaks the users 'real' face, and hair will be visible once more. Requiring 20 posts of meditation, because this is probably the most important part of the users body, they must move the Carapace across their head -which at first will be excruciatingly painful, but later on it won't hurt at all.
Mask of Damnation | Rank A
This skill is used to cover the head, and neck of the us protecting two of the most vital points of the body. The canine teeth of the user extend to be a couple of inches long. And their eyes become one solid color with a glow effect.
Cool down: Ten posts.
Void Spike | Rank A
The user condenses the Carapace towards their fist and aims it at a target. Making it extend at extreme speeds towards them in the form of a large spike, with a range of twenty feet. This breaks after the initial post. But will leave shrapnel like bits inside the pierced target.
Cool down: Twelve posts.

While all other stages seemed to focus on one or two body parts, this focuses on the whole body. You must have used the following skills 10 times each in combat in order to gain this stage: Carapace Grieve, Carapace Gauntlet, Carapace Breastplate, and last but not least, Mask of Damnation.
Death Incarnate | Rank S
The users body becomes completely covered in their Carapace, with the use of one skill. Claws for each finger that are 4 inches long form. And 2 inch long ones for each toe, two one foot long horns form from the carapace to finish off the new look. The user gets a +2 buff to their strength and speed. No other skills in this style can be used when in this form. This is the true form of the Revenant, the reason they are heralded as Gods of combat, and cursed as Demons.
Cool-down: Pass out for six posts after deactivation
