** I guess this takes place some time after the pack is established **

Night had just fallen on the forest and it was truly the best time to venture out and see the beauty of nature. No one was around and it was quiet. Mordred often found himself seeking the solace of the woods after a long day with the knights or after another argument with this father or sisters. He could no longer bear it; their constant prodding for him to show more interest. It was driving him mad. He swiped at a twig on the ground out of frustration and sent it flying to the bushes. He knew that it was too early to meet up with the rest of his pack but he could at least venture out into the woods and see if anyone was around. Throwing back his head, he let out a long, low howl and hoped someone would hear it.

User ImageNone of the pack members were in the woods except Lillith. For a moment she had a rabbit in her mouth getting some food until she heard a familiar howl. She eventually made her way to where the howling noise was before dropping the rabbit. "What's bugging you tonight? I was just hunting and heard you." Lillith shrugged. "Then again if I'm intruding too personal I will be quiet. I do not wish to meddle in something I am not supposed to."

He soon began to think that maybe it was far too late and that the others had abandoned the woods until he heard the approaching footfalls of someone and he turned saw that Lillith had joined him and was carrying a rabbit in her mouth.
"Lillith..." Of course she was out here but still he was surprised she came. Heck, he was probably a fool for trying to seek some sort of comfort from those in his pack. They all weren't exactly the lovey dovey sort. "I didn't mean to pull you from your hunt."
He was somewhat surprised at her offer and he sighed.
"Thanks for the offer... " Laying down slowly, he shook his head. "I feel like I'm always complaining to you. I can't talk right now but perhaps later. I just... don't want to be alone at the moment." He glanced at the rabbit again and a sudden idea struck him. "Hunting.. I think hunting will help."

Lillith raised an eyebrow almost like a sarcastic way, but she didn't feel like arguing with him that he wasn't himself. "Ok..." She looked down at the rabbit she had just caught. "It's ok...they live in there and there are other things more of a challenge to hunt that I thrive on." She then looked back up at him. "So you know how to hunt wild game as well? Do you prefer simpler things or something that would prove a challenge?" She was kind of wondering what he really was doing all the way out here just to hunt with her, but she didn't care. If he was good at hunting it might prove interesting.

"I've only ever hunted rabbits and squirrels. They are of great abundance by the manor and the edge of the woods. And with the others, well, I can easily demand they give me what food they get." He rose to his paws and shook out his fur; slightly damp from the wet grass. With a flick of his tail, he started to walk towards Lillith and paused before with a sly grin on his face. "Tonight, I'm feeling ambitious. I'm in the mood for deer."

Lillith nodded her head. "Indeed there are." She looked into the woods. "Theres actually a clearing in their where different wild animals gather. It will probably be easier taking down a deer if we work together. Although Elk might prove more tricky since the males are more aggressive." She smirked a bit. "Then again I have the option of flight, but it's kind of hard unless I do a quick paralyzing strike to the animal." She shook her head. Why was she bragging to him? Had she really sunk that low to start off on arrogance. "Nevermind actually...lets just go and hunt some deer."

He listened intently to Lillith and frowned when she suddenly stopped talking about Elk. She was smiling while she was speaking and it was something he didn't think he say that much of. He tilted his head as he studied her.
"If Elk are trickier, than I want that." He was never one to display his special ability or use it for that matter but perhaps this was now a time for it. "A strike of electricity does wonders when you're hunting. It's quite the sight to see." He turned and looked off towards the woods. He felt excited at the thought that he was going on a hunt with her. This would certainly relieve quite a lot of stress. "If we hunt together this night, we're not going to go after something small my lovely maiden. Go big or go home as I always say." He gestured to the forest ahead of them with his paw. "You led and I will follow..."

"Sounds electrifying." Lillith shook her head. "Alright that works for me then." She started to head into the forest then looked back at him for a moment back to her expressionless face. "Eh...sorry for getting a bit too braggy. Normally I don't do that especially since it goes against my moral code." She then continued into the forest looking around at all the plants. "I take it you know these woods just as well?" Lillith looked around as she headed in. "Some wolves tend to be territorial out here. Only one I know out here is Moro and Agrona."

And as always, Lillith was once again blank faced; her smirk disappearing as quickly as it appeared. It was hard to read someone so stone faced all the time but in the time he'd known her, he was starting to understand how she worked. Hell, with their lifestyle choices, it was probably better that he take a page from her book and learn how to better conceal his emotions. Though, he wished she would smile more. It was a rare and beautiful thing.
Realizing he was staring at her and that she was several feet ahead of him, he trotted after her.
"There's no need to apologize. You're not braggy at all. I'd say more proud of your accomplishments." He commented with a wag of his tail. "There is no shame in that."
Following her into the woods, Mordred lifted his head and started to sniff the air for the tantalizing scent of elk and deer and strained to listen to the sounds of the woods. At Lillith's question, he glanced at her and nodded.
"I'm beginning to understand my way around the woods thanks to you."
At the mention of Agrona, his fur bristled and he bit back the low growl that threatened to escape him. He could understand Agrona's hatred for the knights. He had his own issues with them but he would never forgive her for kidnapping his sisters. Involving those innocent girls... he was glad he hadn't run into Agrona; especially if these woods were under her control.
Taking a deep breath, he tried to push his anger to the side and answer Lillith calmly.
"I've been lucky enough not to run into either Moro or Agrona. The territory we've carved out for our own pack isn't near theirs is it?"

Lillith turned around to see him staring. She didn't say anything and kept calm. "Well...I guess I never considered that before." She then looked back towards the front while hiding a blush in slight embarrassment. "Oh, well...you're welcome." She wasn't sure what to say and she was not used to getting so many compliments, but still it was nice even if he was lieing it still felt a bit nice. Normally she would yell at others thinking they were trying to use her, but for some reason it didn't bug her when Mordred treated her so nicely. "Well that's good. I don't have any loyalty towards either. The only reason I ever did go help Agrona one time is more because of my brother. I just wanted to make sure he wouldn't of been slaughtered." She paused. "Although I highly doubt most wolves could do so." She shook the thought from her head.

"Moro isn't too bad. She comes across as harsh, but she can be fairly sociable if you're on her good side. I actually have talked to her before." She shrugged. "I'm pretty sure Moro would be less caring than Agrona so long as you're not trying to out her of her territory or destroying the forest. She just doesn't care for humans. I'm surprised she trusted Seiphira to tell you the truth, although Seiphira gives her her space. That might be it."
