Brief summary up to timeskip(just the major events):

Leanne and Raphael reported about some elven activity in the forest, and suspected that they were planning an attack. During a war meeting, Raphael revealed that he had seen a white wing. Suspecting it to be Valter, Kasumi decided to send Nagi to confirm it. Nagi visited Raven(who was babysitting) before leaving, coming to the realization that he was in love with her after she smiled at him. Not having time to talk to her about it, Nagi and his small group of soldiers flew off toward the elven forests, where they were ambushed. Nagi was defeated in battle by elves under Valter's command and captured.

K, now to type up the remaining posts.

A few days later

By now, it was safe to say that everyone realized that Nagi wasn't coming back. The day he left, Raven also took a quick exit as soon as Kasumi relieved her of her babysitting duties. When she left, she'd also moved her wheeled gypsy-esque caravan home away to a secluded area in the woods off of the kingdom. However, on the side opposite of where Nagi had gone of course. She'd informed Cornelius of her whereabouts...which had proven to be a mistake on her part.
----
It was early morning. The sun had just begun to peak over the trees. The air was cool and slowly warming up. All the woodland creatures were awakening as well. But it wasn't any of this that had awoken Raven from her much needed rest...nope...it was-
"GOOD MORNING GORGEOUS! ♥♥"
The ever so familiar voice shot Raven out of her slumber and she sat up almost automatically - wide eyed. Her long hair was slightly ruffled. Interestingly enough, she was a bit more...exposed than usual, wearing a simple, black nightgown.
Her golden eyes darted around her tiny wooden home a face peeked in happily at her.
"Cornelius..." she growled.
"Hi darling!♥" he said, stepping into her home. He pulled off his light coat, placing it over a small table, careful not to disturb any of her research.
"Ugh...yeah, just make yourself at home..." she said sarcastically as his plopped himself down onto a cushion that substituted a chair.
Her home was cluttered from trinkets, flora, skeletons, scrolls, books - leather bound mostly - journals, and simply odd things she'd collected over the years. There wasn't much space to crouch-walk around.
Cornelius smiled over at his friend as she pulled a mesh shawl over her shoulders.
"I want tea," he announced, smoothing out his shirt.
"Yeah, yeah sure," Raven grumbled.
She moved her way outside to begin a fire. She'd already had the pit made, since she'd been camping in this spot for a while. She merely used her magic to place wood in the pit, start a fire, and hang a kettle over it. Nearby was a quick moving but thin creek, but it seemed that Cornelius had already gather a bucket of water for the tea. She pulled a hand through her hair and poured some of the water into the kettle. Within about fifteen minutes, she had tea brewed and brought it back into her home. Serving it to Cornelius, she sat into the cushion opposite of him.
As he took a sip and savored it for a moment, he smiled again.
"So..." he began. "I have a question for you."
"What's that?" Raven said unenthusiastically as she sipped her tea.
"Where's Nagi?"
Raven almost spit out her tea, but composed herself quickly.
"I don't know," she said frankly.
Cornelius laughed. "Oh come on," he cut her an almost taunting look. "I know you know, there's no point in denying it..." he almost purred.
"I don't know..." Raven repeated bluntly.
Cornelius chuckled. "I'll figure out one way or another you know."
"I don't know where Nagi is."
"Hey. Raven..."
"What?"
"Where's Nagi?"
"I don't know!"
"Where's Nagi"
"I don't know, Cornelius! If you keep asking, I'll have to ask you to leave," Raven said, crossing her arms.
Cornelius merely smiled. "I was just on my way out." With that, he took the last sip of his tea and grabbed his coat. As he was about to leave he turned and smiled at Raven.
"Raven?"
"...What...?"
"Where's Nagi?"
"Get out!"
-----
(2 hours later)
Raven sat on the edge of the creek. She had a bucket of warm water, some perfumes, and a rag. Her clothes sat on a nearby boulder. She sighed happily at the peace in the area.
"Hey Raven?"
"Oh my gosh! Cornelius!!!" Raven screamed, slumping into the water and crossing her arms over her chest. "What the hell!?" she growled, blushing angrily.
Cornelius stood a few paces away from her. He had his hands on his hips and smiled over at her.
"Where's Nagi?"
"Go away!" Raven yelled.
-----
(3 hours later)
Raven was crouched over, observing the leaves of a local flora. She was trying to decide whether or not this particular plant had healing properties. She was concentrating heavily.
"Hey Raven?"
"Gah!"
"Where's Nagi?"
"Go away!"
"Where's Nagi?"
"I won't tell you!"
-----
(throughout the day)
"Where's Nagi?"
"Leave me alone!"
"Where's Nagi?"
"I don't know!"
"Where's Nagi?"
"Just shut up and leave me alone!"

The first thing he was aware of was the pain. Every inch of his body felt as if it had been stabbed. Which, now that he thought about it, was probably true. His eyes blinking open, Nagi wondered what had happened.
And started as he realized where he was.
He was shackled to a wall; the only way to keep his weight off his wrists(which, he decided, hurt the most) was to stand on his tiptoes. The chains clinked every time he moved, and the sound always echoed back amplified.
He couldn't see much of the room for a lack of lighting, but what he did see was far from comforting. There was a single iron-bound door which he assumed led into a hall, and numerous chains and other devises used for holding prisoners.
Nagi's survey was cut short as the handle to the door turned. He steeled his gaze, determined to remain stoic despite whatever the elven b*****d had planned.
And almost instantly lost his composure, for he saw, as Anday strolled through the door, his sword in the king's hand.
"Well! It's about time you woke up! You've been out for three days, you know. I was beginning to worry. It seems Valter's lightning was a bit too strong. I'll have to put that into consideration for the next time," Anday said with feigned thoughtfulness.
Next time? Nagi wondered. "What do you want?"
Anday smirked. "I'm just here checking on my guest." He seemed to noticed that Nagi wasn't happy with his sword being in another's hand, for her brought the blade close to his face, as if inspecting it. "This really is a beautiful sword, and unique, too. Isn't that right?"
Nagi watched him warily. "Yes. There is no other sword like it in the world," he said cautiously.
"Hm. It's a bit heavy for my liking, however. I should return it. Perhaps your father would like it, or Kasumi." A cruel smile spread across his face. "Or that Raven-haired witch-"
"Leave Raven out of this!"
"Ooh, hit a soft spot, have I? Oh, don't look at me like that! So far we've left her alone. But I should take your sword back. I'm sure Kasumi would appreciate it."
Nagi's already piercing eyes narrowed. "I swear, if you harm any of them-"
"You're in no position to be issuing threats!" Anday growled.
He reached behind him and seemed to push the wall, which moved a little under his touch. Almost instantly, the shackles around Nagi's wrists began to heat, reaching the point where they seared his flesh in a matter of seconds. Nagi screamed in spite of himself.
Eventually, after a couple long minutes, the heat subsided. Nagi went limp in his chains.
"As you can see, you are at my mercy," Anday's smug voice stabbed through the pained Nagi's head.
"Y-You...b*****d...I'll...kill you..."
Anday simply waved his threat away. "Yes, yes, well, some other day. For now, I have a...dear friend to visit. I hope you enjoy yourself while I'm gone." With that, Anday stalked out of the room, closing the door with a bang and leaving Nagi to his fading consciousness.
-----
The cradle creaked slightly as it rocked. The soft snoring of the infants asleep inside was like music.
Kasumi was just putting Aidan and Ringo down for a nap, singing them a lullaby her parents had sung to her.

"Hush little babies, don't say a word.
Mama's gonna buy you a mockingbird.
And if that mockingbird won't sing,
Mama's gonna buy you a diamond ring.
And if that diamond ring is brass,
Mama's gonna buy you a looking glass.
And if that looking glass should break,
Mama's gonna buy you a-"

"I should have known you'd spoil your kids."
Kasumi jumped and spun around. Anday sat comfortably in one of the chairs.
"What are you doing here?" she demanded loudly. The babies woke and started crying.
"Still relying on others, huh? I'd heard the rumors that you had changed. They must have been greatly exaggerated." He disappeared suddenly and reappeared right behind her. He grabbed her wrist and twisted it behind her back painfully.
The door to the nursery burst open and Isamu, Satoshi, and her parents rushed in.
Satoshi glared and instinctively reached for his sword. "Anday."
"Why, Satoshi! It's been too long! How have you been, old friend?"
Throughout the short exchange, Kasumi had been drawing a dagger from a hidden location in the folds of her dress. She stabbed it into Anday's thigh. He let go in surprise and pain. She spun around and kicked him in the groin. She grabbed the twins and rushed over to her husband's side.
It took only a moment for Anday to recover, though he was leaning more heavily on his uninjured leg.
"Your wife has become more effective at defending herself, Isamu. But you all really should relax! I'm not here for her. I'm just here to deliver a gift." Anday then produced two items. One was a very distinctive sword, which he tossed to the ground at their feet, particularly Satoshi's. The other item he kept in his hand.
A white feather, stained red.
Satoshi stood his a stunned look on his face and swayed slightly. Richard reached out to support his friend so he wouldn't collapse. The general's expression, however, soon turned to fury.
"You b*****d! What have you done to him!?"
Anday gave an exasperated sigh and shrug. "Really, you angels are so unoriginal with your insults!"
Satoshi's voice dropped to a threatening volume. "Anday. What have you done to him?"
Anday smirked. "Oh, don't worry. He's alive. For now. In fact, he's an honored guest of mine. We are getting along so well! Oh, but he must be wondering where I am. I really must go, before he worries. You may keep this, as a gift from Nagi. Farewell, until next time." Anday tossed the feather at the father and disappeared.
This time, Satoshi really did need the support. Richard allowed his distraught friend to lean on him as he tried to come to terms with this information.
"He has Nagi...That...That b*****d has Nagi..."
Grace put her hand on Satoshi's arm. "Satoshi, at least he's alive." Before she had even finished speaking, however, Satoshi began to shake his head.
"You don't understand. It would have been better if he had been killed rather than captured by Anday."
Kasumi walked over to the frantic father and looked him in the face. "Why do you say that?"
Satoshi sighed. "Anday has...a personal grudge against us. I fear Nagi's situation is more dire than any of you can understand."
"Us?"
"Nagi and I. He believes we caused a tragedy that happened over a thousand years ago."

"Oh Raaaavveennn!♥" Cornelius called playfully. By now, he was back at the kingdom. Raven had been running from him and he'd tracked her back to the kingdom.
His designer heeled boots clicked as his strode down a marble hallway. His hips swayed in a feminine manner as he walked. his long ponytail swung along behind him with a graceful flow and an almost sadistic smirk was apparent on his face. He knew exactly what he was doing, and although it seemed childish-he knew Raven better than anyone else.
"Raven!♥ Where's-"
An unseen force threw Cornelius against the wall. It didn't seem to faze him that much, though and he staggered back to his composure.
"Now Raven," Cornelius laughed, "there's no point in getting violent. Just tell me where-"
Again, he was thrown into another wall. He laughed.
"Where's-"
His body flew up to the ceiling and he fell back to the ground. He caught himself last minute.
"Where's-"
Another wall.
((This continues))
((They're on a completely different wing of the kingdom))

Satoshi looked so...afraid. Kasumi couldn't remember seeing him anything but calm and collected. It put her off guard seeing him that way. She almost didn't want to ask, but...the information he gave could help rescue Nagi.
"What happened?"
He hesitated a moment before replying. "It's a long and painful story," he warned.
"If it helps us save Nagi, it will be worth the time."
Satoshi nodded. "1000 years ago, Nagi, my wife, and I lived in a small town near the border between the elves and angels, but we were also close to the demons. Close enough, anyway.
"The demons raided the town. My wife...was killed...while Nagi watched. I managed to get Nagi out unscathed, but the same couldn't be said of his mental state. He was so young; his wings had only just come in that summer...He was so young, and he had watched his mother die. Needless to say, he was devastated.
"Since our home had been destroyed, we had nowhere to go. We wandered until we were met by a party of elves led by Anday. I told him what had happened and he took us to the elven castle. He let us stay for around three months with him and his wife."
"Wife?" Kasumi asked. "He was married?"
"Yes. He was married to a woman named Rayne. She was three months pregnant when we arrived. I believe she was why he took us in. He couldn't imagine losing his own wife.
"In the time we were there, Anday and I became friends. Nagi seemed to recover a little, as well. He even played with the elven children. Unfortunately that didn't last long.
"I don't know how, but the demons learned that Anday was harboring angelic refugees. The king--your father, Isamu--sent out his army to kill the refugees. They didn't know that Nagi and I were the only angels there.
"When the demonic army came and demanded that Anday turn over the angels, Rayne helped us escape through the kitchens. However, the demons were waiting for us. Rayne was killed and Nagi and I barely escaped with our lives. Anday blames us for his wife's and child's deaths; we brought the demons to his doorstep."
"But...It was just an accident," Grace said. "It's not as if you wanted it to happen."
"Anday doesn't follow the same logic. He believes that we need to pay for it even if we didn't mean for it to happen. And simply dying is too quick. He wants us to suffer, the same way he did."
Richard crossed his arms. "Why didn't you or Nagi say anything before?"
Satoshi sighed again. "Nagi...doesn't know about any of this."
Kasumi stared at him as if he had grown a second head. "What do you mean, he doesn't know? He was there, wasn't he? He should at least remember it. That's not something forgotten easily."
Satoshi turned his head so he could stare out the window(and partially to avoid their scrutinizing gazes). "I have another power besides my speed and wind control. I have the power to lock away a person's memories. I used it on Nagi.
"When we were coming here, Nagi asked me...He asked me if he was somehow responsible for what happened to his mother and the elves. That was when I knew that he wouldn't be able to handle what had happened. It would have driven him insane. So I locked away his memories of the two incidents. I did it to protect him, but..."
"But Anday still got to him," Kasumi finished. Satoshi merely nodded. "Well, then, that gives us only one thing to do." Everyone looked at the queen. "We find the elves and rescue him."
"Easier said than done. They would not have returned to their castle. That would be too obvious, and Anday's smarter than that," Satoshi pointed out.
"But they will not leave their forest. They'll be there. It's only a matter of locating them."
"We don't have time to search the forest! It would take months for a brief scan, much less a thorough search! By that point, who knows what Nagi would have gone through!"
"We do have one person who can tell us where he is."
"Kasumi..." Grace began. "Do you mean the fortune teller?"
"Raven, yes," Kasumi answered. "It may take a while before she will tell us, but I'm sure she'll help us. She'll help when it is the right time for her to do so." Before Satoshi could protest, Kasumi added, "Her first priority is not messing with fate. When she determines that it is safe, she will help us. Until then, we must believe Nagi can hold out. He's strong. Anday will find that it isn't so easy to break his will."

"Oh the things you do for love..." Cornelius swooned almost sadly, making his way down another large hallway. Raven had laid off a bit at this point - but you could definitely tell that he'd gone through quite a beating. His shirt was ripped and dirty, his face lightly bruised and his lip bled. His hair was ruined too. Normally, all of this INDIVIDUALLY would set the man off...but he was on a mission.
"Good thing I dressed for the occasion, these clothes are so last decade." He sighed. He had a little hand-held mirror and frowned into it at his appearance.
It was more of a pout actually. Even in this sate he was a beautiful creature.
"My poor face..." he whined softly as he entered a room. In the room, Kasumi, Isamu, Satoshi, Grace, and her husband were all standing around. Cornelius propped himself up on the table to sit with his legs crossed. He sat with perfect posture though and even though he was sitting in a rather informal and inappropriate place, his whole being glowed with charm and debonair.
He pulled a handkerchief and lightly dabbed the red from his lip and began to clean and touch-up on his make-up. Not once did he look up from his mirror or even acknowledge the presence of his friends. However, he soon broke the silence.
"Goodness, the atmosphere in here is so negative...it's going to give me wrinkles."
Of course, he was saying that boldly considering the situation.
"And my poor Nagi. Raven's being to mean keeping secrets from us...but I suppose we all do don't we?" he said. His crystal eyes flickered up towards Satoshi and he winked, giving the man a reassuring smile. "Or had them at least.♥"
He'd finally covered up his bruises with make-up and he tucked his mirror and his make-up away. He leaned back slightly, switching which leg crossed which.
"Raven can help us retrieve my handsome man, however she's being stubborn. Don't worry, though - I managed to carve away at her walls. I've gotten rid of about three months worth of nagging in one day," he said proudly. "I can't seem to find her now though. It's been quite the witch-hunt."

Stef
Cornelius' "reassuring" smile actually wasn't as reassuring as he thought. At this point, the only thing that could comfort the distraught father was the knowledge of where Nagi was and that he was all right. And he didn't have that information. He only had the assurance of a madman. A madman who hates him.
Satoshi's eyes drifted to where Nagi's sword and the blood stained feather still lay after Anday had tossed them. His fists clenched and hie eyes narrowed. If Anday harmed his son, Satoshi would personally see to it that there was one less elf in the world.
Richard dropped a hand on Satoshi's shoulder. "Don't do anything reckless. You can't help Nagi if you get yourself killed," he said just loud enough for the other angel to hear.
Satoshi tore his gaze from Anday's "gifts," sighing. "Yes...I know..."
Kasumi, who heard nothing of the quiet exchange, examined Cornelius. Torn clothes(and some gravel hanging from the shreds), smeared make-up, and ruined hair. Cornelius hadn't even looked this beat up after a fight. She made a mental reminder to stay on Raven's good side.(Tolerated side? O.o)
"Cornelius...is it really okay to try to get Raven talking? For all we know, telling us at the wrong time could make things worse for Nagi, maybe even causing his death."
"In that madman's hands, Nagi will likely wish he were dead. Death will be a mercy," Satoshi said.
Kasumi shook her head. "No. I intend to get him out alive. Whatever happens to him in there, time will eventually wash it away. But the dead can't come back. No. I won't risk losing him forever."
But will you abandon him? Will you let him suffer because you are afraid of what may, or may not, happen?"
- - - - -
Well. At least his wrists were numb. For now, at least.
Nagi had only just regained consciousness after the events of his..."conversation" with Anday. By now, the elf would have informed(boasted would probably be a better word) the angels and demons of the prisoner he kept. He could imagine how his father took the news. Kasumi would probably worry, but, knowing how strong she's become, would probably start searching for a way to free him. Cornelius was likely being his usual spaz self. Raven...
Raven probably knew where he was. She would keep that information from the others. However, Nagi did not begrudge her, no matter how much pain he endured as a result of her withholding the information. How could he, knowing her duty as a fortuneteller?
Knowing the feelings he had for her?
The imprisoned angel forced the thought out of his mind. He would not give the elves any more leverage over him. Any information they got from his mind could be used against him. And, more than that, he might put Raven in danger. He couldn't put her at risk.
The door opened and Anday sauntered in, flanked by an elf and Valter. While the king made no overly obvious moves to imply the contrary, Nagi noted that he wasn't entirely all right. Small twinges of discomfort crossed his face when he put weight on one leg.
He didn't have much time to contemplate it, however.
Valter pointed at the chained angel. A lightning bolt flew out of his fingertip and into the angel's stomach. Nagi lurched forward(as much as was possible, anyway), gasping. The force from this bolt wasn't anything like his last encounter with Valter's lightning. This one was just a minor shock. Still, his spread throughout his entire body in an instant.
He's holding back. Was that just a warning shot? he wondered, though he was sure he knew the answer.
"Correct," Anday said, startling him. The smug king gestured toward the second elf. "This is Thalion. He is a telepath, and he'll be informing me of anything that crosses your mind, no matter how brief."
Lovely.
"What do you want?" Nagi asked hostilely.
"I was just checking up on you. I returned a couple minutes ago from my visit to your friends. I would have come by a little earlier, but I had to visit my healers because a certain queen was less than inviting."
Good job, Kasumi.
"Valter." The traitor angel sent another bolt into Nagi, who was more prepared this time. He gritted his teeth against the pain, wincing only a little. "I just thought I'd pay someone back for her mistake. And I figured her bodyguard would be the perfect person to take the fall for the foolish queen."
Nagi glared. "Do your worst. No matter what you do, you will not break my spirit. It's futile to even try."
Anday smirked. "Are you sure? I believe you will live to regret those words. Valter?"
Instead of lightning, the angel released a stream of fire. Nagi didn't give them the satisfaction of hearing him scream, despite how hard it was to keep from doing so.
It lasted only a few moments, but it seemed like so much longer. When the fire finally died away(surprisingly leaving only minor burns), Nagi slumped in his chains. A small trail of blood trickled from his mouth, having bitten his tongue trying to keep from screaming.
Anday walked over to Nagi. "That's a taste of the hospitality you can expect here. What do you think?"
"Go...Go to Hell..."
"Tsk tsk. That isn't very nice." Then Anday bent down as if to tell Nagi a secret. "We heard your thoughts about the witch," he whispered. "I would love to hear her scream."
Nagi forgot the pain. His knee flew up to connect with the king's stomach. Before either of the other two could react, before Anday could even register the sudden attack besides the sudden lack of breath, the trapped angel grabbed the chains connected to his shackles and used them to support his weight as he swung his feet up to kick the doubled over elf. One foot landed on his side, one on his cheek. The elven king went flying, crashing into the wall.
Intense heat seared Nagi's flesh as Valter recovered. This time, there was no avoiding the scream. It lasted several long minutes before he heard, past his screaming, Anday telling Valter to stop. Nagi slumped again, and could barely muster the strength to raise his head just enough to see Anday standing, a look of pure hatred plastered on his normally smug face. The king had a very red mark on his cheek, which would leave a very nasty bruise, and a small bead of blood on the corner of his lip.
Nagi could offer no resistance when Anday stormed across the room and lifted his head by his hair.
"You just made things so much worse for yourself." The barely conscious angel hardly heard.
An explosion in the back of his head almost sent Nagi into the waiting blackness. The pain was so intense that the little vision he had left when almost completely black. He heard only one more thing before passing out.
"I'll make you beg for death."

Isamu, who had quietly moved away from the huddle of worried friends, was not sitting in a chair on the opposite side of the table Cornelius had sat on. He sat, staring at the table in contemplation with his jaw rested on his hand.
Cornelius merely let off a slight laugh at Kasumi's question - not to be rude - but because he had more of an understanding of Raven. But beyond the quick laugh he said nothing, getting into fixing his hair.
Isamu cut Cornelius a look and sighed. He knew what his friend was thinking and seeing the questioning looks on his friends' faces he thought he'd voice it.
"Kasumi honey, you were right to say earlier that Raven wouldn't say anything until it is the right time - if there ever is - but as much as we'd like to think that she is on our side and would fight for us...well, that simply isn't true."
Cornelius let off a slight whimper at his hair being stubborn, which cut Isamu off for a second. But he sighed and shook his head and continued.
"So Cornelius - I think - was right to begin to egg her on. For information early. As you can see, the woman carries a hot temper and has some serious stubbornness issues. But Cornelius matches that in annoyan - ow!"
Cornelius had kicked the bottom of the table sending the other side up slightly into Isamu's ribs.
A quiet growl escaped Isamu's lips, but he bit back his anger.
"And out of all of us, Cornelius is closest to her, so she's more likely to talk to him."
"Oh! These darn split ends! I'm so going to a salon after this!" pouted Cornelius. It was almost as if he'd completely lost the situation.

"He's blocked his mind...they probably have another telepath there..." Raven said, looking into a small hand-held mirror. She used this mirror like a crystal ball and watched Nagi in it with cold but melancholy eyes. "That's a shame...If I could connect to him mentally, this could all be so much easier..." she sighed.
"The fates have decided it Nagi...You will suffer like no man for faults not of your own. You will lose the ability to see all that is beautiful, but gain appreciation. You will learn of betrayal that was thought of to be for a greater good...but was it really? We'll just have to see what my friends on the other side have to say about it..." Raven's voice seemed to echo as a breeze pushed itself through woods - giving off a hallow howl. Her normally golden eyes glowed a strange purple and the light seemed to seep in the fog from her eyes. And in the wind frightening cackles and laughter could be heard.
"Pray some fortune be with you," she said.

Cornelius' behavior would normally have been amusing. However, at that moment, the amusement was lost on Kasumi. Too many things were going wrong for such a simple thing to distract her, too many lives at stake for her to so easily forget the situation.
"I'm not expecting her to fight," she told the two demons. "But I know she will help us. She'll help because it's Nagi who's in danger, if for no other reason."
"How can you be sure? She's a-" Satoshi cut himself off, having been about to say "demon." (He's still distrustful of demons, understandably so.) However, it was fairly obvious what he meant, and everyone in the room probably knew it. "No," he added. "I'm not going to trust Nagi's fate to her."
"Satoshi-" Kasumi began, but her father cut her off.
"I agree with him, Kasumi. Nagi is an angel. The witch is a demon. She won't help."
"Father!"
"I'm with them, Kasumi," Grace said. "Angels and demons aren't meant to be allies. Besides, we don't need their help."
A mixture of hurt, sadness, and exasperation crossed the queen's face. "Have you learned nothing?"
"We're learned that angels and demons can't coexist under any circumstances," said a voice from behind them. Isamu's father stood in the doorway, with two demonic generals flanking him.
The angels and demons stood glaring at each other. The air itself seemed to crackle. The tension even reached Aidan and Ringo, who started to cry.
"We should have just killed the elves rather than sending demons to die under the obviously inadequate command of Nagi," Rodderick added. "Now is the best time to attack. They won't expect it, since they have an angel captive."
"That would get Nagi killed," Richard argued.
"So what? One less angel to worry about!"
Satoshi started forward, and only Richard's hand on his arm kept him from murdering Rodderick where he stood.
"You will regret those words," he growled at the demon.
"That is quite enough, from all of you!" Kasumi was obviously angry and disappointed. She had calmed her children and placed them in their crib. She now stood glaring at the fighting angels and demons.

"Tsk, honestly..." Cornelius huffed. He stood up and strode out of the room proudly. Even though he'd normally not mind conflict like that - he simply wasn't in the moon. How could he...he looked a mess! Oh, and his darling Nagi was in elven captivity. Cornelius thought that they were such beautiful creatures, but they were also pretty ruthless. Not that he'd let that ruin his whole moon. He did have a duty after all. He was a little disappointed in Satoshi, though. I guess it did make sense after all those years of conflicts and racism. But then, what was that difference in just one generation? After all, his son had absolutely no problem with and even eyes for a demon...
Isamu let off a rather aggravated sigh...He knew things weren't going to change, but one word came to mind.
"SHAMEFUL. All of you...acting like this in front of your queen?...While a loved one is missing and probably being tortured!? Especially you, Satoshi! Nagi would be ashamed," he growled. "Now this concludes our discussion."

Yayz! Got it all up! Now to get this restarted!

Isamu's words cut deeply in the already emotionally wounded man. Satoshi thought back to all the moments Nagi had chided him on his detest of the demons...and to the looks Nagi had often passed the witch. Even though Nagi seemed unaware of it, everyone in the castle knew about the feelings he had. And that included Satoshi.

Few knew how Raven felt about him, but Kasumi hinted that it was more than a friend. Could that be true? If so, why was she hesitating? That fact alone was causing more pain to Nagi than most ever know. Satoshi found it hard to think of her as an ally, but he kept the thought to himself. Isamu was already irked, and that comment would only make things worse.

Rodderick tossed a quick glance at his son before letting his glare fall on his daughter-in-law. "She will never be my queen." He turned and stormed out of the room, the demons who had accompanied him following behind.

"And Isamu will never be our king," Richard said. He and Grace left the room, leaving their daughter, son-in-law, and Satoshi alone.

Kasumi watched her parents and Isamu's father in exasperation. They had totally missed the point of Isamu's rave! How stubborn could they be in their hatred!? Not even Satoshi appeared fully convinced, and it was his son on the line!

"What are we going to do...?" she asked Isamu in disbelief. "How can we make them see what we have already discovered...?"

((All I have is Isamu for now... sweatdrop sorry))
Isamu stared down at the table before him and his hands rested thoughtfully under his chin. He didn't want to admit it but his steely eyes looked up at his wife grimly. "Not everyone can change the way they've lived their whole lives...unfortunately." He said. He stood and walked over to his wife and children. "What we need to really focus on.." He said, lightly stroking Ringo's hair "are our future generations."

~ A few days later ~

The past few days had been stressful for everyone. Nagi's predicament hung at the forefronts of their minds. The angels were concerned that one of their own was probably being tortured or dead. The demons weren't so much concerned with Nagi himself as with his captors' identities. The knowledge that an elven army was gathering was distressing to everyone. Kasumi had begun to order small scouting missions in the forest to try to track the elves down.

Satoshi was always first to volunteer for them. The worried father was the most affected by recent events, though doing things that might improve their chances of finding his son did wonders for his mood. He was no longer distraught, and his old determination came back. Even though all the reports came back with unfavorable results, Satoshi was always quick to point out that there was now less area to search.

But the remaining portion of the forest was still overwhelming.

Kasumi sat in the throne room with Isamu. One of the scouts from the most recent scouting mission was reporting their findings. Or, I should say, lack thereof. "I see. You're dismissed," Kasumi said as he finished.

Once he bowed and left, it was just Kasumi, Isamu, and a few others in the throne room. The queen sighed. "I'm beginning to think we'll never find him this way," she remarked. It was looking more and more like they needed Raven to talk in order to find Nagi.

~~~~~~~~~~
His head was throbbing with pain as consciousness returned. The shackles cut into his no longer numb wrists, made even worse by the fact that the first layer of skin around them had been burned off. It took several moments before Nagi could find the strength beyond the pain to even open his eyes.
When he did, he almost wished he hadn't. Even open, he saw nothing but black. At first he thought that the torch in the room wasn't lit, but that theory was blown to dust when he heard the faint crackle of fire. The room was lit. He just couldn't see it. He fought against the rising panic.
I'm...blind... he thought. Even if he somehow survived this, nothing could go back to normal. He wouldn't be able to use his sword, or resume his duties. He wouldn't be able to see his friends or his father smile again. He wouldn't be able to see...
Raven. He would never again be able to see her face, marred, but beautiful. He would never see the almost perpetual indifference in her expression, or the scowl when she was frustrated by Cornelius. The last image he had seen of Raven flashed into his head. He would never get the chance to try and make her beautiful smile again and see the result.
