The sacred dream of being part of a successful rock group may have correlated with thousands of adolescents worldwide, but it held no sway with Tsukimi. As she pulled into the parking lot she could feel the last of her savings drain out through the dying gasps of her father’s moped. It had spent the last few years of its life escaping the feds between deliveries, and as aggravated as she was to see its rear wheel completely disengage, roll into traffic, and slip into an alleyway, Tsukimi only saluted the tire. “Roll on, a*****e. Roll on.”

Of course, the entire moped fell onto its side in a crumpled heap that she chose to ignore. Instead, the delivery girl walked into the upscale building like she owned the place. After all, it had been her decision to hold try outs in the penthouse, regardless of whose dime was covering. If they could prove that they already had the financial backing for this venture, it shouldn’t be too hard to find a new member.

She giggled in the elevator. That is, until she got a good look at herself in the 360 mirror hell that was the elevator. Button up work shirt, khaki pants, ponytail; in other words…”I look like my mother!” She cried, pulling down on her cheeks while she crumbled into herself. Hastily she ripped off the over shirt to expose her white undershirt, and then ripped out hair out of the ponytail to fan it out. As ******** up as it was she managed to pull it off.
The elevator door dinged open while she was attempting to tear holes in the knees of her pants.

“What…are you doing?” Tsukimi’s head snapped up, and she locked eyes with her twin, who was opening the door to the penthouse. As usual, he was dressed in appropriate fashion for the occasion with a text book in his hand. “Hey, you need to get out of the elevator now. It’s going to-“

The door closed and all he could hear was the shrill of the trapped she-beast within.

“So, I’m sure I’ll trick Takeshi into a date if I just…yeah! Perfect!” Mei grinned as she twirled her umbrella. “He can’t refuse! If I keep his sister hostage…” she noticed weird looks from people as she said her plans aloud, and quickly scuttled through the streets, scowling as if it was their fault for having ears. “Nosy people! Getting in between me and my love!” She cheered right back up and kept on her way until she came face-to-face with the building they were using for auditions. “No line…” she frowned and looked around in case they were sitting close to the area, but nothing. “Maybe, we’ll have to call off the band. We can’t function without a bassist.” She drove the end of her umbrella into the pavement in a moment of fury and angrily opened the door and flung it shut behind her.


“I’m sure I’ll get busted by my parents for being here. I’m just sure, somehow, like always, they find out.” The short boy let out in his usual melancholy tone, “I swear the only time I get let out of that crap hole is for school and Junior Scientist club meetings.” He calmly walked through the streets, acting as if it was normal to see a thirteen-year-old walking alone at night in dark alleyways carrying a guitar shaped case on his back. Completely normal, especially when this young kid was wearing a pair of bright orange goggles over his forehead. Can’t get any more normal than that. He continued his venture through the dark streets until he got to the address that was located on the flyer. “Seems run down, I wonder if these guys are legit or not.” He heaved a sigh and ran a hand through his hair, “Guess I’ll figure that out…” he grabbed onto the doorknob and forced his way into the establishment.

Jimmy frantically pressed the call elevator button from the bottom floor of the massive hotel. He could have sworn that he saw Tsukimi go into the elevator, hell he even called her name to get her attention but somehow she just ignored the piss out of him. Not only that but she took the only elevator! The light on the pad showed that the elevator was in fact properly called but still Jimmy jammed the button repeatedly sending clicks echoing around him while he cursed in English under his breath.

Finally, to the relief to everyone the elevator finally made the final 'ding' that indicated that it was indeed on the first floor. As the doors slid open the orange haired man made no notice to Tsukimi and shifted into the corner and pressed the button for the penthouse. "I take it you panicked?" He was calm for the scowl on his face, then again his piercings gave Jimmy an ever apparent abrasive attitude, at least it looked as if he was abrasive.

"You think?" Tsukimi grumbled, pushing a strand of exotic hair away from her face. "I came here straight from work, and I was trying to fix myself up, but- s**t!" Quick as a flash Tsukimi reached over to slam her hands on the button panel. "She's right outside! Mei is like right outside. I didn't think she was going to be here today, so I let Takeshi come, and OH GOD WHY IS THIS SO SLOW?" She shifted her eyes from the lolita to the kid behind her and slowly down to her foot that was blocking the elevator door from properly closing. With an aggrivated huff, she pulled it in, giving a triumphant hoot, must to the disdain of the hotel employees. The doors began to close ever so slowly...

Meanwhile, in the penthouse, Takeshi was keeping busy by straightening up the place. He'd already shifted most of the furniture around so that the instruments could be placed near the large bay windows overlooking the city, but he'd hit a snag when it came to plugging it all in. Damnable city building that it was.

"Should I put out refreshments now or later?" He mumbled, taking a little break to perform a sound check on the mic. "If I put them over there..."

“HEY TSUKIMI! HOLD THE ELE-“ the door slowly closed in front of Mei’s face and begin to go up the many floors of the hotel. “Hmmm, I guess she didn’t hear me?” she shrugged it off and pulled her umbrella up and hit the elevator call button. “Oh! If Tsukimi is here, that means Takeshi is already here!” She jumped with glee completely ignoring the kid who stood beside her waiting on the same elevator. She begin fixing her hair in the reflection off the elevator doors, “I must look perfect for when I seduce him!” she giggled and blushed as the kid beside her quickly started to edge away from her.

“Why the heck is the elevator so slow!” he mumbled as he mashed the elevator call button as the old lady beside him made absolutely no corrections to her hair even though she thought she was clearly doing something. He couldn’t help but wonder how incredibly rude that girl on the elevator was for leaving him here with this insane woman. “You’re completely aware that you doing absolutely nothing and not making yourself look any prettier, right?” he turned his head towards the woman as she froze in place, and shifted her gaze over to the boy.

“What? My hair obviously looks bett-“ “No, absolute same.” “No way! This part right here was-“ “In that exact same place before.” Mei stomped her foot and pointed her umbrella at the kid, “It looks better ok!” she crossed her arms and faced the elevator doors once more, her umbrella resting at an odd angle.

Tsukimi couldn't really think under pressure, she was frantic and it was obvious that Takeshi was here due to Tsukimi's panicked demeanor. With a slight sigh Jimmy leaned forward and pressed and held down two buttons, one being the "door close" button and the other being the "Penthouse" button. It was a small trick he picked up back in the states, if you held both buttons the doors immediately closed and the elevator went directly to the held floor; it was how police were able to go to a certain floor without being stopped.

"I also take it we will be hiding Takeshi again? You know at some point we may need to get another manager that isn't freakishly obsessed with your brother's body. Then again, it is always nice seeing Takeshi so lively and disgusted all the time." Jimmy said playfully as he waited for the elevator to take them fully to the penthouse.

Tsukimi just leaned back against the opposing wall in the elevator so that she could give Jimmy a condescending stare. If she didn't already have a history with the guy before this whole mess got started then she would have told him where he could shove that sigh, but as it stood, she was just grateful. "She's a good manager, Jimmy, and you know it." She sighed, running a hand over her face as the elevator doors opened on their floor. "I just don't want to see my brother raped."

"Did someone say lively and disgusted? I hope you weren't talking about me." Takeshi turned around to smile at the pair after Tsukimi lead the way into the recording area of the Penthouse. Of course, he was standing in an area with ample light, his work apron around his waist...sweet on his brow that was glistening in the light...Total jail bait.

"...You are so ********."

"What?" He paled, but when his sister didn't respond he asked again. "Wait, what-? Jimmy?"

“Wait a second-“ Mei narrowed her eyes and pulled herself away from the elevator. “There are stairs!” she kicked open the door revealing several flights of stairs and started pounding her way up the many flights. “Nothing can stop my love for Takeshi! NOT EVEN THESE STAIRS!” her willpower seemed to have grown and she rounded each corner of stairs like a cheetah seeking a delicious antelope. “FEAR NOT MY TAKESHI!” she panted along the last few flights. “YOUR BELOVED IS HERE!” she clutched the handle of door leading out into the hallway, swung it open, and stood face-to-face with the penthouse door. “TAKESHI” she bolted towards the door, within inches of Takeshi.

“I could turn around right now and be completely fine with life,” Shin sighed as he watched the crazy lady start running up eighty flights of stairs. “The doors are right there; I wouldn’t be missed,” he turned his head towards the exit, and took a step towards them. “Yep, no one would-“the elevator dinged and opened in front of him. “…I call it fate,” he jumped into the elevator and hit the button for the penthouse and began regretting his decision.

Jimmy took a moment to access the situation and what was about to go down. Just as he paused the door swung open with the intensity of a thousand suns with their manager in a dead sprint towards Takeshi. "Sorry bro!" Jimmy jumped back a few feet then vaulted over the couch in the room so he would not be caught between his drummer, his manager, and his friend.

Things did tend to get crazy when Mei and Takeshi were involved... "Tell me if a guitarist comes here!"
