Crystal layed on her bed, legs pulled up to her chest, hair falling all around her. She gazed at the giant aquarium that was the wall of her bedroom. It had been set up to make her feel more at home, but it only made here feel more homesick, Reminding her that the glass was keeping her and home apart. She longed to be back in the ocean, where she belonged. She was a mermaid, not a human. Luckily the school had water around it, so she could always go for a swim and have her beautiful tail back in a jiffy. Though she had to admit, human legs fascinated her, and when she found out that she had legs on land, she was excited and spent the whole time walking, running, jumping, and hopping. But even though legs were truly amazing, she wanted to go back to her beloved mermaid City of Atlantis.
