One of many articles although this one mistakenly says Zimmerman is white.
The parents are being calm and reasonable,
and many people want justice, but nonviolent justice, ie no life for a life.

Interestingly enough, someone pointed out that the little boy they show in the photos is not the one that got shot - that is, on TV they show photos of him when he was 12, not the 6'2" young man he actually was.

It doesn't seem as clear-cut a case as it could be. For instance, if I was the guy in the hoodie, and someone approached me yelling who are you, what are you doing here, I would tell him and he would back off! I don't understand why there was a struggle. I don't believe that Zimmerman said nothing.
The trial will bear watching.

I say it was a misunderstanding that ended in a tragic(sp?) and if Zimmerman was to be charged with anything manslaughter should be it.

One thing is clean is how horribly the media has been covering it. Editing the 911 call is terrible.

I hope that at the end of all this nothing worst happens.

I hope that Trayvon's parents can find peace.

It's horrible that any of this had to happen.

The media only reports on blacks getting killed by whites so that when non fatal outcome racism against blacks is about, they can say there is no racism.

Whether or not you agree with the occupy protesters, they have the right to protest and are right about a few things, and target the corporate handlers of our government and media. But almost every major news station save current calls them idiots and glorifies the tea party, or just scoffs at them a tiny bit. It's all about how the government can use media to shape our opinions. Tea partiers(the non racist, economically ignorant morons in there, that is, who are actually capable of forming a rational thought) probably have at least 50% in common view wise with occupiers. Why do they hate each other? Same reason why Trayvon Martin's case was so big and the so often murders in my state go unsung.

It helps divide us. Obama is more Conservative than Reagan, and he's on the "socialist left". The country has shifted far to the right, and going by the 14 Points of Fascism list, America is a fascist nation.

I'm using it as a subject that is treated similar by the MSM outlets. They want to drive us apart so it's easier to manipulate us.

The majority of media leans to the right, actually. MsnBC Is left leaning, but equally represents the right. CNN doesn't play any type of blame game like MsnBC or Fox, so they get called left leaning. And Fox gets the single most ratings/viewers out of all of them, and is known to have been collaborated on by Murdoch and either Nixon or Reagan's PR guy to design a right wing propaganda news station. You can google this and find multiple sources of the leak if you like.

Current is the only news station that will openly attack both right wing and left wing politicians, and is the only truly left leaning news station. They aren't Corporate owned and Federally controlled, as well. There are issues nobody else even approaches that Current will approach because they don't listen to what the Government tells them to do, which is what a journalist group is supposed to do, act as a public knowledge counterweight to the government.


I figure you probably think I'm batshit insane, but this is a country where 50% ish thinks creationism should be taught in school, and constantly talks about how the left is ruining us while we careen further and further into the conservative styled Dictatorship. Rampant racism, martial law(NDAA), mass censorship(corporate/federal MSM control and stuff like SOPA, PIPA and CISPA/ ACTA), heavy religious contamination of a system that is secularly built so no one religion is held over the others. If that's sane, then I want to be insane.

There were so many damn wrong things with what he said in this thread...first I wanted to protest, then I was mad, then I thought it was a magnificent pile of troll intended to make me mad, then I thought it was funny, and then I just heaved a martyred sigh and banned him, as I should have done years ago when the other guild owner told me he was a troll in a troll guild.

So. Many. Things. Wrong.

I would be desperately afraid for the country and the future, were it not for one thing: I read history. And history shows that no matter how idiotic people are, somehow, nations manage to struggle along. The cities of Italy were warring in the 13th century, yet, they still stand today. Popes have shocked the world with their corruption, yet the Catholic Church still exists. Pol Pot, Stalin, Hitler and Fidel Castro killed millions and millions of innocents, yet, their countries are not wiped off the map.

Even deluded folk like Noldega Spitefire The Troll, spewing inanities and lies (and probably believing half of them!), cannot pull down a country. Thousands of them cannot. And the fact that they are so desperate means they aren't winning.
