Yuzuki’s head turned over to their teacher when she arrived at the gate, so they were going on a pretty tough mission huh? Yuzuki was a little bit excited and a little nervous as well, it would be a good thing to test herself and see how far her training was able to go. But there was also the fact that this was going to be their first mission, and they seemed to be down a man as well, being only two members plus their teacher made Yuzuki a little nervous. Though judging by how well Kori and herself got a long, she was going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that their teamwork could pull though. She said nothing until her teacher mentioned their side mission and that they were going to be learning a summoning jutsu. Now she was talking! Yuzuki pushed herself up from the rock and stood beside Kori so that she could learn as much as she could about this. It was interesting that Tsuchia was able to summon a bird of prey, her mom could do that as well, perhaps she was Tsuchia’s teacher at one point? It was hard to say, but right now, Tsuchia had her undivided attention. ”Alright, you have my interest, so how to do we go about summoning them? I assume this type of summons needs a contract as well?” Yuzuki knew enough about the summoning jutsu that it was rather dangerous to summon without a contract, she had been warned enough by her family that doing something so foolish could very well result in some horrifically bad things. She would make sure to do things right.
In the back of her mind though, she wondered if there was various elements belonging to these birds of prey, the one that their teacher had was sporting a lightning motif on its wings, so did that mean that they were going to be associated with their individual elements? Yuzuki might get a firebird and Kori a… rainbird? Huh, she wasn’t sure about that, it would be interesting to find out though.

Yuzuki listened intently to what her teacher was saying and so far, it seemed like it would be a rather easy task, but then again, whenever she thought that something was going to be easy, she ended up making an embarrassment of herself. Hopefully this time was going to be a little different from the previous examples, but there was no guarantee of that either. Yuzuki slumped her shoulders for a moment at her self defeat but raised them again shortly after and started on her way to try and summon something. She found herself kind of excited, she wondered what sort of summons she would get. Her Dad and Brother got serpents, her old sister got a Snow Oni, her mom got and Great eagle, and her little sister got… actually, she didn’t know what her sister got, only that she got it. Yuzuki rolled up her sleeves and closed her eyes for a moment, let the chakra flow through her system, she was still having a little trouble with her chakra control, even after Tsuchia had did what she did earlier that day. Maybe there was still some residual turbulence from before. Once more, she found herself having to fiddle a little bit with her chakra to get things where it felt right. She bit into her thumbs to draw blood, she remembered that her other family members did such whenever they brought their summons there and then mimicked Tsuchia-sensei’s hand signs the way that she showed them. Boar, dog, bird, monkey and ram were made before she thrust her hand down and slapped the ground with an open palm, one hand overlapping the other on.
”Summoning Jutsu!” Black, scrawling texts poured out around the base of her hand as she pushed her chakra into the jutsu in order to create a gate that the summons could enter from. Yuzuki felt a significant draining of her chakra, though she didn’t think anything of it, after all, a summoning technique always drained the energy of the summoner. From what she understood, it was one of the most taxing Jutsu’s out there. There was a thunderous explosion and a violent plum of white smoke that quickly enveloped the area that she and her comrades were occupying. It took a while for the smoke to clear and Yuzuki was anxiously looking around in front of her to see what she happened to conjure up. Nothing came into her immediate field of vision and Yuzuki let out a rather frustrated sigh. She brought something over, she knew that she did! So where was it? Ugh, let her guess, there was a really tiny something roaming around and she couldn’t see it because whatever it was, it was too small to see.

What Yuzuki couldn’t see was the massive monstrosity that pulled itself out of the smoke and towered above the village gate. Eight piercing red eyes narrowed dangerously down at the whelp who dared bring him out of his domain and into this rather unknown mountainous terrain. His dark brown hide was looked as though it would blend in very well with the sand dunes of the Land of Wind, indicating that it was not a native species to the mountains and was probably more at home in the desert. His mandibles twitched and snapped silently with impatience as he watched this undeserving human sit down in front of him and hang her head. How could this… this insignificant little snot stain bring something of his size over the barrier to this god forsaken location. He wasn’t ignorant of the stronger woman and her pet summons nearby, but he was more interested in this scorpling that had been ignoring him sense he arrived. Granted, it wasn’t his fault that he was behind her instead of in front her, but there was just not enough room on the path in front of her.
”What is the meaning of this?!” He finally thundered in his deep, gravelly voice, the annoyance was obvious and the way that he was clicking his pinchers together suggested he was at the point of aggression. ”Why have you brought me here and just as importantly…” He brought his head closer to Yuzuki, who by this time was starting to sweat bullets and lean away slightly. ”How did a weakling like you bring me over to this side.”
”Good lord you’re a big scorpion.” Yuzuki replied as she blinked a few times, still leaning back so that she didn’t get too close to the massive thing that looked like it was going to gobble her up in one go. Yuzuki’s eyes widened a fraction and she suddenly straightened herself up and pointed a defiant finger towards the titanic scorpion that was towering before. ”My name is Yuzuki Yukimura, and I have summoned you so that I can make a pact with you and your kith and kin!” There was a strength and determination in Yuzuki’s voice that had been lacking before. It was authoritative and used a tone that she would not take no for an answer.

”You summoned me, to make a pact?!” Half of the scorpions eyes narrowed as it continued its gaze at Yuzuki as though it was trying to make up its mind whether or not this was some sort of joke. ”You insolent little ground crawler! I am Agni, Cheiftain of the Desert scorpions! And you dare to call upon me in order to do your bidding?!? I am going to smash you to paste for your arrogance!!” Agni raised his massive claw and made a violent sweeping motion towards Yuzuki, he seemed to be serious about reducing her to a fine, gooey substance, luckily for Yuzuki she had already hightailed it out of the way to avoid the massive blow. A shower of rocks and debris rained down towards Yuzuki and her comrades. Yuzuki quickly took a position behind the rocks where she shot a look at Tsuchia. ”Apparently I’m not the best negotiator, now what?”

”You want me to beat him?!?” Yuzuki replied with clear distress in her voice. ”How the in the seven acers of the void am I supposed to do that?!?” Yuzuki was pretty sure that negotiations were off the menu at this point. It was pretty safe to say that Angi wasn’t going to be willing to give and take at this point judging by the previous response from the scorpion chief. Yuzuki tried to think fast, thought her thoughts were interrupted when Angi took a step forwards and smashed his tail into the spot where he heard Yuzuki. He violently smashed the rock formation that Yuzuki had hid behind clean out of the way and impacting a still standing part of the all, causing more of the already vulnerable wall to collapse under the abuse. Agni’s eyes scanned the area, looking for the little pest that summoned him so that he could teach her a lesson that she wouldn’t live long enough to learn fully.
Yuzuki peeked around the corner of the new rock formation that she found herself behind and tried to think about what she was going to do next. She couldn’t defeat him as there was no way in God’s green earth that was strong enough to take him out and down. The best thing that she could hope for was impressing this behemoth but even that was looking slim and unlikely. Yuzuki gently took her lip in her teeth in thought. He wasn’t going to stay there forever and she needed to at least get him away from the village so that he didn’t hurt anyone. Agni seemed to let his aggression get the better of him, maybe she could use that to her advantage. Yuzuki closed her eyes for a few moments and plotted out what she was going to do about this.

Agni was getting impatient and itching to unleash his frustration on someone or something, he took one more look before he turned his attention to the blue haired girl and the woman with the black hair that had appeared on the roof of the building. ”Well, seeing as that little ground crawler won’t take her punishment accordingly, I’ll just have to start with you two.” Agni pulled his pincher back and was about to attack the building when a kunai with a wire wrapped around the top claw of his pulled back pincher. Agni slowly looked over to the direction of where the Kunai and wire led. ”You can’t be serious.” He growled before he gave a violent pull on the rope, causing a log to pop out from hiding and roll toward Agni with a bunch of explosion tags on it. Agni only stared at the log, hardly amused by the action even as the detonation went off and spread black smoke and splinters all over the place. Agni snorted, clearly unimpressed but he knew where his prey was, or at least the general direction that she was going. He would end this soon enough.

Yuzuki breathed a bit of a sigh of relief, she thankfully got his attention and brought him away from Kori and Tsuchia-sensei but she was still a far cry from accomplishing her goals. She knew these lands well enough that she was sure that she was going to be able to get the advantage over Agni, there was a canyon not far from here where she could use his size to her advantage, hopefully she would be able to pin him there and force him into a contract. She waited a few moments until she saw his head poke around the rock formations and then made her move, using the rocks and trees to provide enough cover that she would be shielded from anything that Agni might throw at her, but not enough that he couldn’t see and follow her. Granted, his size was a huge advantage as she would have to duck under things in order to not be seen. Once she got him into a position where they could fight and not have to worry about anyone getting hurt, she would start to try and get him whittled down to a point where her fighting style and tactics might impress him enough to get a contract out of him. It would take time, but at least Kori could start to learn her own summons without getting trampled and crushed under the weight of a titan of a summons that she brought over here.
