Background: Marth was a proud prince in a land not heard of, but he had drifted upon New Bark Town after his ship had sunk in a terrible storm. The residents there took him in and helped him to become well again, and upon his stay, he heard stories of how a young man had gone on a quest to become a pokemon champion and how he grew strong and defeated the elite four. Marth then decided that he would go on a quest, with professor Elm giving him a pokemon to go with. He chose Cyndaquil and he left the small town, going to the next city over and asking about pokemon. He battled different types of pokemon, learning as he went along and found that it could be fun to train pokemon. As soon as he came to the decision, he went off to train with his new friend and battle the gyms. Along the way, he caught a meowth who grew into a persian, a psyduck, a cubone, and
another meowth. He went on and fought the gyms after he trained his pokemon though they were tough, but he succeeded, losing about ten times. He then went and battled the elite four after his gym battles in Johto and succeeded in trumping them at their own game. After doing so, he went on and continued to battle other gyms, ashe watched his pokemon grow. He grew to love them and decided he would never trade them or give them up, unless it was for the better.
