I wish facial hair was accepted on women. I have a hormonal imbalance and I produce too much testosterone in my body. Resulting in having a beard and hair were usually men would have it. I'm looking into laser hair removal but it's expensive. I've tried all those smelly hair removal cream products. Only thing that has really works for me is plucking. It takes forever and it hurts xp Any ideas on how to minimize it's appearance?

Have you tried threading, waxing or sugaring?

Hello Esiris,
I've tried threading but I got this really really bad acne from it because the person that did the threading didn't properly sanitize. Since then I haven't had it done. I'm allergic to wax...lol (sensitive skin). What is sugaring? Now that you mention it I probably will go back to threading I had forgotten all about it since I had that one bad experience.

i think sugaring is like a gentle wax, ive never tried it, i just pluck all my little chin hairs.

if the hair isnt too thick you can try bleach

Sugaring is like waxing- but it's done with honey and sugar instead of wax.

Good luck with the threading!

I was thinking of Nono too! Yeah I read reviews and they are also mixed and yes it is expensive. Have you ever tried an epilator? I have a friend that uses it on her arm hair and it leaves her arms baby butt smooth. I've tried epilator on my "lady beard" (I like that word whee ) it was too painful.

For whatever it is worth- those buffing pads never worked for me.
PostPosted: Fri Feb 03, 2012 7:17 am

I've tried both buffing pads and epilators. They didn't work for me either. Buffing pads just felt like sand paper on your skin. Epilators I also bought a cheap one and it did the same thing, just pull at the hair but not take it out. Journey to being hairless continues...

I want laser too and yeah it is expensive. Hopefully when I have enough for treatments it will be the first thing on my list.
