Deep red hues glanced back to notice that two following figures were now far behind, exhausted. No longer was there a worry of being caught. Huffing out a somewhat strained breath of his own, that large head framed of gold turned back to face forward. Gazing out into the distance. Seeing the green of trees in the incoming horizon. Soon, paws would meet the lush forest floor in an abrupt change in scenery. There. Nobody would be able to follow. That world was as familiar as the back of that large gold paw. A gold paw which had stricken a cub. The reason why for the running. Bodaway was never going to forgive himself for that. All of a sudden, a voice ruptured that thought process. A familiar voice. More so. Angry. Threatening. Scolding. Before the male had a chance to react a body collided with his own. Was this what prey felt like when a lioness jumped ontop of them. How did it feel to have Ayita apon you. No wonder her kill ratio was as high as it was. None the less, the unexpected body weight caused him to tople to the ground. In the dirt one second, next receiving blows to that thick mane. Maybe one or two to the head. Adrenaline full and now more so, without thinking, Bodaway reacted. By pure instint. Kicking off the attacker with a powerful set of hind legs. Not hearing a single thing Abaeze was yelling at him. Letting out a ear shattering roar of his own as he got back to his feet, pupils were dilated. It took a second or two for him to register the situation but between now and then he had landed a swipe of his own at the lioness. Not hitting her but it was a warning. When it came to mind who it was. Eyes became wide and ears flattened against his mane. But lips twitched and he growled. "Running may not solve problems but it douses the flames to make them smaller!" Taking a step back he was ready to run again. "Let me leave! Truly does not matter if I do! No harm will become of the cubs! I've already injured one! Who is to say it won't happen again! I've upset you! Plenty and more so!!" Taking another step back he turned to take off once more.
Misae found herself hunched forward even more so. Chin meeting her chest as breaths continued to be taken in. Muscles tightened and released to stress and relieve built up tension. But, a sudden voice scared the heck out of her. Causing her to flinch and momentarily jump. Onto her paws and getting closer to Jawara for comfort. Eyes wide and her body shaking. That was unexpected. "Y-yes..." All that hard work down the watering hole. Back to stuttering it was. Gulping down a moutful of saliva, she lowered her head and ears at the sight of Abaeze giving Bodaway a beat down. But looked away as the golden giant returned with a kick and smack of his own. It hurt just to watch. And the fellow lioness was already injured. Misae wasn't going to get involved in this. No way no how.

Abaeze felt the air leave her lungs when Bodaway kicked her off him and a few wounds opening, but she landed on her paws and ignored the scent of blood coming from her body, baring her teeth at the male as he sent her a threatening swipe. His roar did not fall on deaf ears, but very angry and annoyed ears. The light-furred lioness snapped her jaws at him, rushing at him again with sheathed paws to bat against his over-sized head. Stupid, stupid male. "You honestly think running away will lessen the flames?!" She snapped angrily, tail lashing back and forth, eyes narrowed, "I'll tell you this: it makes it even worse!" Bodaway didn't think with his head. He hurt a cub? Wonderful, but he wouldn't feel so awful about it if it wasn't for her. She made him this awful mess, and she accepted it. But everyone would mess up in life, and if he thought that running away would stop him from hurting another, he was dead wrong. "What will Musa think when he's new playmate's gone?! Tell me! What will the cubs think when they hear how a lion ran away because he accidentally hurt a cub in play? They'll think that running the way is the only option! It's setting a bad example for the cubs!" Roaring at the top of her lungs, she sent an furious swipe at the male's ears, hoping to sting them. Abaeze would bit his ears if it wouldn't be so dangerous.
It didn't matter that she was hurting right now. Abaeze didn't care. The cream-colored lioness only cared about getting the stupid male back to the pride.
Jawara, without actually thinking about it, licked Misae's cheek in a comforting manner. "We, we should head back to the pride, tell them what's going on." He suggested, his muscles relaxing as more oxygen filled his lungs with each breath. The angry roars of Abaeze and Bodaway made him want to run away, far away, from the fight. "Come on, before someone ends up hurt." The scent of Abaeze's blood reached his nose, alerting him to her opened wounds. Ayita wouldn't be happy at all once she learned of the fight. It would be better now for them to leave. Nudging Misae with his muzzle, he gave her cheek another lick, as if it was normal for him to comfort her that way.

Deep maroon eyes quickly took notice of little details in an opposite body. Though, those hues couldn't keep watch of details for long. For they closed shut nice and tight when paws aimed at the large head. A mane may be protecting a neck and partially ears. But, face and muzzle were exposed. As lashes continued, finally something else snapped. Powerful muscles helped the large frame of Bodaway go onto his back legs to avoided some of the still powerful swipes. This was a chance for a voice to speak out. Ears flat against that gold mane. All four paws on the ground, digging into the dirt. "I have a question for you. Answer honestly." Lips twitched and his own tail swayed quickly. Growling muscles were almost ready to cause body movement of a run once more. Depending, on he answer. "Would you still be fighting me to stay, if I had killed Musa? Or if in the end he does?.." This was a tough question. Not only to ask. But to wait for an answer. Now was a chance for red eyes to glance at the broken down body of the lioness before him. Injuries had opened up. It seemed that Abaeze was exhausted. However, still holding on with the fight. Bodaway was a tad bit tired. But, any second now he could bolt and be out of sight in seconds.
As the scene played just a little bit ahead. Enough out of distance that nothing Bodaway and Abaeze were saying could be heard. Turning away those gold eyes looked towards Pride Rock. Thinking. But, all that was interrupted by a lick to a light cream colored cheek. Widening her gaze, Misae immediately looked at Jawara. Shock on her facial features probably explaining or portraying her thoughts pretty well at this point. Trying to ignore the rustic scent or smell of blood that was now hitting a trained nose. Keeping away the lioness already took a step towards home. Another lick to the cheek and a nudge made her however go frigid. "W-w-we n-need to t-tell Ayita... Or our Kind King." Things were not going to end well. But, those possibilities were not the only thing on her mind. Gulping, she glanced at the dark maned male again. The warrior. Her friend. One that Misae trusted. One of the selected few. A small smile spread onto her face. Even though it was just a few seconds before it vanished.

Abaeze snarled at the male for his stupid question! Of course she would! No doubt about that. He wouldn't get away from his crime, and it would be her kings' to decide how to punish him, and for that, he needed to remain in the pride. Sending another sheathed swipe at his face, the lioness growled, her eyes narrowed with irritation at Bodaway's cub-like behavior. Did he honestly think he'd get away? She could see the bunching of his muscles, ready to take flight at the second's chance. No way would she allow him to escape, even with her exhaustion slowing her movements and the scent of her blood filling her nose. "I would go after you! I'd hunt you down and bring you back to the pride!" She roared, aiming another swipe at his muzzle, "I won't let cowards run away from their actions! Face the consequences for what you do!" Fierce light-blue eyes flashed as she tried to land another paw on him. Fighting idiots was difficult when she already was injured. She hardly could believe she had such a stupid pride-mate for an old friend. She'd mourn Musa's death, for sure, but she wouldn't allow Bodaway to get away with killing her brother. She didn't like cowards. Not at all.
Instantly realizing his mistake, Jawara took a small half-step back and nodded in agreement with Misae. They needed to move quickly and get their kind king and head huntress to break up the fight before it ended badly. "Right, come on. They're probably wondering what's going on right about now." This time, taking care not to brush his pelt against Misa's pelt so she wouldn't freak out, Jawara sprinted towards Pride Rock and their pride.

Dodging blow after blow. Swipe after swipe. Hit after hit after hit. There was no retaliation at this point just yet. Not wanting to hurt a dear friend. However lips twitched in aggravation with ever new form of attack from the raging lioness. Pearly whites flashing in irritation just as tail lashed. Muscles tense with anticipation. Still ready to cause movement to flee. There would be no stopping this frame if it chose to do so. Mind reeling at the answers that had just now reached those ears. The words that were expressed caused the male to stop backing up and avoiding the hits. This was when he received a blow to the muzzle and cheek area. Bodaway stood there without flinching this time. Those African sunset eyes gazed straight at Abaeze. Never wavering. Pondering the next choice of action. "Why would I stay in a Pride, that would soon form a hate for a cub-killer. The cubs would be afraid of me..." There was seriousness in his deep voice. Obviously some complex thoughts. "You would have lost the last blood in your family.. Hatred is what you would feel for me. No longer friendship.." The large body made his head drop. Mane falling forward. The rough swipe to the face was bleeding itself. But wasn't bothering Bodaway. What was were the thoughts in that head. And the smell of the lioness' blood. Muscles relaxed and shoulders hunched. Lifting that massive head, Bodaway stepped forward towards the pissed off lioness. "You can hit me all you want later.. Just stop. I've hurt you enough and you are injured.. I'll come back. Alright?" If this continued those bleeding injuries that the lioness received at some point would be far worse. Wouldn't heal right. And that couldn't happen. She had to be able to hunt. Had to be able to provide for her brother. Had to.
Without any other words to Jawara, the light sand shaded lioness darted off in the direction of the visible Pride Rock. Where great kings had lived. And great and wise kings do live. One immediately came to mind. Soyali. The kind king would be able to fic this situation. Or calm and relieve the tension. Having that wise air about him. Misae didn't turn to look back at the scene behind them.
(Exit Misae)

Abaeze snarled at Bodaway, though she did stop her attacks on him. The scratch she gave him worried her, and it wasn't worth hitting her friend if he didn't fight back. Tail-tip twitching in agitation, the lioness glowered at him for his stupidity. She still remained angry at him. "The cubs wouldn't hate you," voice low and rumbling, her blue eyes pierce through her darker lashes, "They would see it as an accident. The adults would see it as carelessness. Did you set out to harm Musa? If you did, I'll hate you forever. But, if you didn't, I'll have to get over it." All lions died in the end, and if she was left with no kin, no one to love and cherish, well, she'd be like their kind king wallowing in his own self-inflicted pain. Life in the savanna was tough, and she'd deal with it. "Only idiots would view you as a cub-killer, Bodaway." Feeling the loss of blood get to her, Abaeze began feeling more than a little dizzy. She could see two Bodaways as the metallic scent of her blood filled her nostrils.

Bodaway was trying his damn hardest not to just turn and run still. But, it was pretty clear now that it wouldn't be the smartest of ideas. It would cause some issues. Just as much if things were to happen to the little mud ball of a cub. Round ears flattened as the gold giant took a few more steps forward. A bold move after this whole confrontation. One that could have caused even more bodily harm. The blood trickling down that juncture of a cheek and maw was starting to dry with the sun glinting off that fur. Sure a scar would form but Bodaway didn't care. He did care for the lioness who was definitely losing more bodily liquid then was ever supposed to be lost. Eyes full of worry blinked and it went away. Hiding it well. Closer then he usually ever would be, the male spoke. "Need to get you back home... So you can rest and have enough energy to beat me up later.." Standing just beside her, shoulder to shoulder, he wanted to try and lead her back to Pride Rock. It might take a while. But if she was to collapse, he would carry her. Very much able to do so.

"Does that mean you're staying?" Abaeze asked, refusing his shoulder and forcing herself to stand on her own feet. She wouldn't go anywhere with him, even to help, if he didn't stay with the pride. Fighting with him would be pointless if he left right after dropping her off. Stupid males. "I'm not going anywhere until you make your decision." Now she saw three Bodaways, just more of a headache. Three Bodaways were more annoying than one, and she only would be able to handle on of him. Blue eyes trained on the lion, she waited for his response. No injury would keep her from hearing it.

It was amazing just how stubborn one creature could be. Yet, it was an amazement and normal all in one way. It took a lot of willpower to stop from allowing lips to twitch in aggravation. Getting rough would get the two of them nowhere. That was already obvious. If this continued to escalate, serious damage could become much worse. This was actually carelessness and stupidity on both their parts. As much as Bodaway wanted to push aside that fact. It was true. The male just hadn't realized it yet. Not knowing of what was transpiring at Pride Rock. The King was going to get involved. One thing he knew for sure. Once they returned. A very large and powerful lioness was going to be on his backside for causing more damage to that best friend. There was a slight cringe at the mere though. "Yes. Alright? Happy now? Infact, I promise I'll stay." He never went back on his promises. He would give up his life to assure that fact. Once again moving to get beside Abaeze so she wouldn't fall over, to help support her, Bodaway sighed. "Now stop being difficult and let's go back. Please?" Hopefully she would listen now. Before it was far too late.

"You..." Abaeze breathed, black dots dancing in her vision, "better keep that promise..." The lioness slumped against the large male, her creamy fur stained with her own blood and the blood of Bodaway. She exhausted herself too much, and she should not have fought with the male, but she couldn't let him run away from his problems. Abaeze hoped Bodaway didn't leave while she was out cold. I'll shred him if he does, thought the lioness before darkness fully enveloped her.

The next few seconds seemed like an entire milenia to Bodaway, who's maroon eyes caught the little instances of muscles loosening up from that female companion. There was no care in the world about the gold fur that was now stained more so with the blood of Abaeze. All the worry in the world was being projected onto the lioness. The male leaned towards the opposing body to try and keep it up. This was going to be difficult. With Abaeze out like this though Bodaway could get her to Priderock a lot quicker. The two weren't that far away. In retrospect. Gritting those teeth he took hold of the females neck of her unconsious form. Wincing from the fear of hurting her he had no choice. With difficulty he got her over his powerful back. This was indeed going to be a little tricky. None the less manageable as he headed with a quick pace towards home.. "A promise... is a promise..." Paws barreling beneath him he looked over his shoulder to the limp form on his back. "As long as you never hate me..."
[ I rather dislike this... but, I think Bodaway is just being kind of cute XD ]

There was no time to dilly dally. Things had to be done and they were going to happen. Those silver to grey eyes followed after a mall figure, paws thundering beneath the majestic looking beast. Soyali was hoping the young male Jawara would lead him to the last place him and Misae had spotted two in particular. Abaeze and Bodaway. Better the male show the King the location than Ayita going out for a mid-day hunt and finding the two on her own. What a disaster that would have been. What would more than likely transpire back at Priderock would be bad enough. Soyali could already envision a ticking time omb defuse and go off. Even he would be able to do nothing to stop the wrath of the head huntress. For even she could rival any male of just about any size. That was pretty obvious. With her hunting skills in her arsenal as well. All would be bad. Bodaway was going to have a lot to answer for. In just a few short minutes. First task however was finding the male. And, the female that mentioned female huntress had eyes for as the best of all friends. Hopefully the two were no longer locked into a battle. It would be vital as his job to stop this. For this mighty moving cloud was for his word. And most of all. His pride.

[Enter Jawara.]
Jawara quickly moved through the tall grasses of the Prideland as his eyes searched for the familiar figures of Bodaway and Abaeze. He silently prayed to the ancestors of the past that nothing horrible, besides the obvious, had happened to them. Abaeze looked like she was ready to keel over with her wounds opening up.
Then he spotted the large, golden body of Bodaway where he and Misae last saw him. Glancing back at his king, the warrior wondered if he needed to point them out to Soyali. It was obvious from how bright the large male's pelt was that anyone who was looking for him would see it.

Beyond the golden grass seemed to be a shimmering light. Blazing through the rays of the sun. Slowly like the retreating sun at the end of a long day. Wise grey eyes watched the bright object knowing immediately who it was. There was only one creature that was as bright as the day star. The only one that had been almost as bright was the fallen star deep within Soyali's hear and watching over them all in the sky. It had to be Bodaway. Things surely did not seem to be right. If his eyes didn't betray him, it appeared to be that the young male was carrying the smaller limp form of a lioness. Soyali took a good guess that it was Abaeze. Nothing in this scene looked right. Quickly the clouded male headed in their general direction. Not bothering to make his presence known. What was going to happen? The young gold male of the sandy beaches wasn't going to attack Soyali. It would be a very dim whitted thing to do. Risk his own life for a added factor. And in the current situation, risk the life of Abaeze. A very important member of the pride that could not be replaced. It would affect everyone in the pride drastically.

Jawara followed behind his king, silent and stealthy as a lion should be, more so in this case because he didn't know what would happen now that Soyali was present. The warrior prayed to the kings in the sky that nothing terrible would happen, but he knew things didn't always turn out the way they wanted to. Abaeze looked like she had passed out, or she was knocked out by Bodaway. He wasn't sure which, but he knew the headhuntress would not be pleased.
