He watched Scoot for a second, smiling lightly before turning back to Winter, briefly looking away with distant eyes. Ah. About that... he'd have to explain his problem..
"She met me when I was a bowl. As time went on she became a kit and she could still hear me, and I could feel her emotions and somewhat hear her thoughts. As a bowl I tried to do an experiment, tried to be like my mother who can cast spells, and failed, resulting in a curse. Whenever I touch someone I feel their emotions all at once." He paused, looking up.
"I usually hate touching people, but Mai is different. It's how I know if she is happy or sad, it's how I know if she is okay, and as a bowl that was all I ever wanted. Then she vanished and when I emerged from my bowl I spent most of my time seeking her out."

Winter smiled. "So you are that little bowl. You sure did grow up to be bigger then her didn't you?" She joked playfully. She knew that Mai was small for her age. She had taken Mai as a kit to a doctor finding out that she was mute due to the massive crack down her bowl and the doctor was fairly sure she would have other possible issues. She was thankful it didn't go beyond her being mute and being a bit challenged in the size department. "It is good she has her friend back again. And what an interesting curse you have. I'm sure you will be able to understand her better then most."Mai got an embarrassed look on her face as she pulled the board back to her. She removed her first message and wrote on it once more. I'm sorry Chamber. I was scared that you would not want me around because of how I am. I was sure you would grow up and decided you wanted friends who had a voice. She pushed it in front of him with quite the sheepish look on her face before signing at Scoot.
Scoot whined. "I'm not selfish Mai! Take that back!" She started pouting. "Winter make Mai say sorry!"

He turned to look at Mai, touching his paws against hers. "No. I wanted to find you, and, now that I found you I won't let you stray far from me again. I promise. Even if you are mute I find that just as another beautiful quality you have." Ah. Her emotions weren't sad, good. Smiling once more, he turned to Winter, head tilting.
"You remember me?" Ah, startling. Briefly he offered a smile to her, then glanced around the house. "Your house is very lovely."

Mai felt a blush on her face which once more was unseen. Why was she feeling all bubbly and light headed whenever he touched her? She suddenly signed to Winter then took off towards the back of the house.Winter smiled. "Well of course I do. Mai wouldn't let me forget. She spoke nothing but about you as a kit." She tilted her head and gave Mai a concerned look as she disappeared from sight. "She says she is feeling a little sick and is going to the bathroom. We'll give her a few minutes alone." She looked over at Chamber. "Thank you. It was cramped around the old house. So I got this small two bedroom for Scoot and I. Mai had been kicked out the minute she was an adult. That's another reason I left." Scoot of course bounced around Chamber. "Mai loves Chamber! Mai loves Chamber!" Stopping long enough to make kissy faces at him.

There was a moment where Chamber's eyes flicked over to watch Scoot, considering his options. Hold her down to calm her, pat her head, or simply kneel down and hand her candy to shush her. Deciding a different approach, he knelt down, smiling.
"Scoot, did you know that you're the prettiest kit I have ever seen? Such pretty hair, can I brush it?"

Scoot eyes Chamber. "Only if you say I'm prettier then Mai and that you will be my boyfriend." She gave him a huge grin. Winter of course had a look that clearly read she wanted to strangle the kit at the moment. "Scoot now you stop that. It is not nice at all. It is rude and entirely unlady like." She looked back towards where Mai had disappeared to. The loud crash coming from the back of the house was evidence enough that Mai might need a little help. "Excuse me a moment. I'm going to go check on Mai." She got up disappearing in the same direction Mai had went. Just to be pushed back into the room. "What is it Mai?"Mai was pushing back into the room with an odd expression on her face. She sat down her paws signing to Winter rapidly. It was obvious something in the house had frightened her.

"Your boyfriend? Oh, I don't think you under-" He cut his sentence off, hearing the crash and spotting Mai. Immediately he moved past the kit and Winter, grabbing her gently around the wrist, and pressing her behind him, eyes narrowed and tail lashing violently.
"What is it, what frightened you?" Ah, her emotions had peeked when he touched her, having caused him to wince. He made sure to not touch her, needing to concentrate on what could have frightened her.

Winter made a noise when she was pushed a bit by Chamber. She kept her eyes on Mai's rapidly moving hands. "A voice in the bathroom? What are you talking about Mai?" She gave her a confused look then went into the bathroom. She looked around then called out. "There is no voice in here."
Mai huffed up then went after Winter. She put her ears flat against her head and stood outside the bathroom door and signed back.
Winter blinked. "I don't hear it Mai. What is it saying?" She started picking up the broken glass off the floor.
Mai looked flustered and signed at Winter. She was hearing a voice it wasn't very pleasant. In fact it had said some rather nasty things to her. She pushed past Winter and started walking around the bathroom trying to find the nasty voice. Her ears went back against her head as she starred at the dirty laundry hamper. She tipped it over and started digging through the clothes and soon produced a see through pink bowl. She dropped it with a disgusted look on her face. It was obviously saying something nasty.
Winter's face went red the minute she saw the bowl. "SCOOTALOO! IF YOU PUT TROUBLE IN THE HAMPER ONE MORE TIME I'M WRITTING TO SANTA PAWS AND TELLING HIM YOU ARE THE MOST NAUGHTY KIT I'VE EVER SEEN!" She grabbed the bowl. "You are telling me this thing is saying nasty things? It wouldn't surprise me it is Absolut's kit. Who knows what it picked up before he shoved it on my doorstep. At least he had enough sense to tell me where it came from. One night stands, ugh how can one do that? I mean you do not know where the other has been when it comes to just sleeping with anything. You are sleeping with everything the other had slept with before you." She wrinkled her nose at Mai. "You promise me that you will never do that! That you will find a life long mate Mai."

A bowl? A bowl? Sighing softly, he moved to sit down in the corner, watching the bowl. Ah. Approaching it, he touched its side, blinking rapidly at the range of emotions. Moving away to listen to Winter rant, his eyes flicked back towards Mai, then away.
Secretly, he hoped she didn't, too. What would he do if she had a one night stand? He.... would he be sad? Disappointed? Angry?

Mai signed to Winter then looked at the bowl. She did not want to be around that nasty creature. If the bowl was this terrible she could only imagine how the kit would be. She swished her tail in annoyance then pawed at Chamber and walked out of the bathroom.
Winter got a sad expression on her face as she watched Mai walk off. "Mai, don't say that. I'm sure someone out there can love you. And you are not broken! You are perfect the way you are." She looked at Chamber. "Ehhh seems this bowl knows a few nasty words. I think I would be spooked too if I heard something start talking in an empty bathroom myself. Well at least it didn't end up in the washing machine this time." She winked at Chamber. "Her name is Absolut Trouble. And she seems to be exactly that. I'll just go put her in my room so that Mai doesn't have to listen to the stream of filth coming from her." She wandered down the hall mumbling to the bowl.
