Yukiko:
He wasn't going. He was going to stay. There was a chance for them to make up after all.... a chance for them to still be friends. As the words sunk in she felt Eden pull into an even tighter hug, and Yukiko returned it wholeheartedly. Tears once again threatened to come, but instead of from sorrow, this time it was from relief; while they did not quite come, the corners of her eyes were still prickling when Eden finally pulled away. The ribbon luxia was about to put a reassuring hand on the other girl's arm when she heard Malakai begin to speak once again and she quickly turned her head to see Exon and Tomas together, her wings giving a nervous twitch, part of her still afraid of what the Elder had to say.
What happened next was not what she had been expecting. Darkness enveloped the two before her, and her wings snapped out in alarm, eyes widening as the precursor to a scream grew in her throat. However, before the scream could emerge, Malakai's words about releasing their seals finally penetrated.... and the dark cloud parted to reveal two newly grown luxia. Exon had grown.
What had once been a scream instead now came out as an almost comical squeak of excitement, and without realizing the snow luxia began to rise in the air, her wings beating happily. The only thing that kept her from flying to him right at that instant was seeing how he had gotten out of the hug with Tomas and preferred just a handshake, but with the words from Eden all hesitation disappeared. "I will," she said, face filled with an ecstatic grin.
That was the only warning Exon got before being barreled into by a thrilled Yukiko, who, while slightly self conscious about how he would react to the hug, was just to happy to care.
"I told you would grow!" she trilled jubilantly, "I knew you would!" She hugged him tightly, but when she pulled herself back again her face was a little more subdued, both earnest and hopeful. "When I said you were like me, I meant it. I grew at one year, and you have too! I.... I don't care about Azael and what he might have done to you, to me you will always be one of us." Closing her eyes for a moment, she took a deep breath and said what she had been wanting to for so long. "I wouldn't lie to you Exon.... and I didn't." There. It was out in the open.
Now all she could do was wait.
Felix:
While Felix didn't know of the past friendship between Exon and Yukiko, it was obvious to him how much his sister cared for the dark one, and he couldn't help but smile as she went over to him, not minding at all being left with Eden. Preening happily at the hair ruffle, he watched his sister and the other, tail swishing as he kept his little hands within the gingerbread luxia's own.
Tris:
The willow luxia floated down to the others, making a cushion out of her own hair as she sat down next to Eden and Felix. Looking over to the snow luxia and the bat, she blinked languidly and gave one simple statement.
"Took her long enough."
Tris wasn't one to mince words.
