The Mushroom O º ° ‘ ¨ ¨ ‘ ° º O
❝...Alice remained looking thoughtfully at the mushroom for a minute, trying to make out which were the two sides of it; and as it was perfectly round, she found this a very difficult question. However, at last she stretched her arms round it as far as they would go, and broke off a bit of the edge with each hand...❞ ¨ ‘ ° º O O º ° ‘ ¨
♦ This is where the Blue Caterpillar dwells, or rather the entrance. Back when the red queen ruled it was a proud tall mushroom that stood on it's own. After the king started his rule she abandoned it, and has recently returned to find it twisted like the rest of the forest. Now it was sickly and bent over, drooping closer to the ground. It took a small while, but she was able to make a suitable place to live from it, through favors and gold from her old home.
♣ The Mushroom grows near the base of the forest. Blue in color it's large enough for at least fifteen people to stand under, very useful in the acid rains that have stricken the land recently. The pocket the mushroom grows from is also a staircase leading down to her home. A small network of rooms, a business area, bedroom, dining area, and a few other small rooms make up the system.
♥ The staircase leads down to a den like room which Neviah uses to meet with people about business. Selling simple potions, giving insight about the weather, and other such business goes on here. Behind the counter is a doorway that leads to the home part of the burrow. A simple bedroom, kitchen, a living room, and a few other small rooms branch off of the hallway.
♠ Recently this is where the Oracle has dwelled, though she often times leaves on business, or simply to see what all has changed during her time away playing loyalist. She's fickle about her surroundings, so don't be surprised if you see her pass by in her cloud of mists.

Ⓝⓔⓥⓘⓐⓗ Ⓐⓑⓢⓞⓛⓔⓜ Ⓡⓤⓚⓐ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Neviah looked into her armorie with a cross look on her face. She didn't know what to pack for her trip this time, or even where to go. She had been stuck at the mushroom for the past week and decided that it was time for a change or scenery again. She took the long, thin pipe from her mouth and exhaled a large puff of smoke. Closing her eyes and inhaling again, she looked into the vapors, her dark eyes clouded over. She dived into the pools of the near future, and saw a few spots of rain. Children crying, and a new face guided by a rabbit. She blinked the vision away, and set the pipe down on a side table. "So, my college in time has finally fetched her, or will shortly." she thought, taking a seat in a rather plush blue chair. She had always thought of the white rabbit as her college. It was even older than she was, and also dealt in time's affairs. In ways they were much alike, but in others completely different.
Neviah let out a small sigh of regret. She wouldn't be able to stray too far this time, incase they needed to know anything. The reason she had moved back to her forest was because of the new Alice's arrival. Now that Alice's coming was in such a near future Neviah couldn't simply leave. It would be rude and she knew it, even if they didn't know she knew it, or would they? It was usually safe to assume that Neviah knew everything, but not many people remembered that. People had grown more self serving and twisted since the king's reign began, leaving much of the old truths behind in order to focus on survival. It was a sad that Wonderland had twisted to such a state. Neviah almost missed the heart shaped clouds and red painted roses of the queen before. At least then people were a bit more social. Now the threat of being executed, or killed by some random creature was much higher, and so very few acutally cared about other people. If not for the threat of dieing if a promise was broken, Neviah often doubted that anyone would keep their word.
Neviah stood looked into her wardrobe again. There was a nice variety of colors before her, and varying shapes and sizes of clothing. After a moment of tapping her chin, she took a silky red tank top, and a pair of black pants from the wardrobe. She quickly changed and reveiwed herself in the mirror. Pleased with what she saw, Neviah smiled and turned back to the pipe she had set aside. "We're off to see the town Adolfus. Maybe then we'll have a chance to see what the king's mind has been up to recently." she said cheerfully to the pipe she had dubbed Adolfus. It meant noble wolf, but Neviah liked it because it was fun to say. The pipe's name changed frequently though, some days it was randolfi, other days it was serenity, while occasionaly it was mary. It was just one of the many quirks of the blue caterpiller.
Neviah emerged from her hole in the ground shortly after. She took the thin pipe out of her mouth and blew out a puff of smoke while looking around. The ground was grey and barren, a few dead trees and mushrooms scattered about. The acid rains had killed most of the life that had once been there, and the harsh conditions had twisted everything else that remained. "What a dreary sight." she said, thinking aloud. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ aaaaaa aaaaaa

~*~*~{A}{l}{e}{x}{a}{n}{d}{e}{r} {V}{e}{r}{o}{s}{k}~*~*~ Alexander had left the castle a couple of hours earlier. Making his way to see an "old" friend. Arriving just outside his darling Neviahs Tavern almost two hours ago in mortar time, and had spent them pacing outside."How will i go in...i did leave in the middle of the night last time..but it was for my king...but it was rude of me...oh bother, that woman will skin me" Alexander stopped his pacing as he picked up the sound of a wooden door opening and steps coming out of "THE MUSHROOM". He hid behind a tree, and watched as the owner of the tavern walked out. His eyes took in her clothing and a smirk came to his lips, as she was wearing a silky red top and black pants that hugged to her body like a second skin, making Alex remember why it was he came back like a puppy dog every time. "Well...no time like the present"
Alexander moved without making a sound, hoping she would not have one of those weird visions and spot his surprise "attack". "Ok...a few more inches and..." He finally reached the tree that was next to Neviah and with a smirk, he took a quiet steps towards her, his eyes lingering too long on her buttocks, making him miss the branch that made an audible "cracking" sound, giving away his position and his surprise. "Damn...well" he moved quickly and took both of Neviah's hands and pulled her to him, her back on his chest as he moved his lips to her ear, whispering low."I guess i ruined my surprise...hello doll..."
Alex let go of Neviahs right hand, his own making a flipping movement and a Purple Tulip appearing in it."Sooo...i brought you flowers...think we can talk?" He moved his hand, placing the flower in Neviah's hand, his now free hand, flexing nervously with anticipation.

Ⓝⓔⓥⓘⓐⓗ Ⓐⓑⓢⓞⓛⓔⓜ Ⓡⓤⓚⓐ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Neviah inhaled another puff as she stared out across the barren waste land. "What to do, what to do." she thought, and blew out the puff of smoke, forming perfect rings that eventually faded away with the air. If she went she might miss the rabbit and this new Alice, if she stayed she'd be stuck in that hole in the ground for another day, and could be bothered by anyone. She had only followed the Alice's movements in her mists, and didn't look to know who's visits she'd be missing if she did leave. A note on the door worked for most, though if the king came by he'd be a bit more put off than most. "That's right, it has been a little while since his last visit. He's due for another any time." she thought, and frowned. If she left when the king came visiting he might think that she was a traitor, and that would be a nasty mess to sort out. She might even have to move back to the castle or in one of the nearby areas protected by the king. It would be a set back in her transition between rulers, but as long as it meant she stayed alive...
Neviah heard a twig snap and turned around, her eyes narrowed. There were only a few things that would be fool hearty enough to try and sneak up on the caterpillar, and most weren't anything good. Suddenly she found herself in some one's arms, and dropped her pipe in surprise. A familiar voice whispered in her ear, and a small smile came to her lips. "Well, he definitely wasn't someone I was expecting today. He probably came to apologize and try and make up again." she thought, the smile now twisted into a smirk of amusement. The King's dog was a puppy that often got lost and often knocked on her door when he got lonely. Though this little puppy wandered almost everywhere in wonderland, knocking on every girl's door. Neviah was simply one of the few dog lovers out there who understood that dogs weren't always the most loyal of creatures. Though that didn't mean she tossed a bone at every dog she saw.
Neviah let out a small laugh when he said that he had flowers for her, and wanted to talk. She raised the flower to her nose, and inhaled. Tulips held a meaning very similar to roses, but they didn't have the thorns to off set the flower's beauty. "All the beauty and none of the pain." she thought with a smile. Tulips were her favorite flower, though she found the color he chose rather interesting. "Purple, an interesting choice of color. If you just wanted to say you're sorry, white would of sufficed, and if you wanted to say that you loved me, red would of been more suitable. But purple..." she said trailing off, and turned to face the king's loyal tutor, a playful smile on her face. "Are you trying to say that I'm too good for you, Alex?" she asked, and waited for the man's response.
It had been some time since she last saw the puppy. They had spent a rather cozy night together, but before Neviah woke up Alex left her. He didn't leave a note, or even come the next day apologising. Of course Neviah knew why, she looked in the mists the moment she realised she was alone. Just because she knew didn't change the fact it had taken him so long to confess and try and make it up to her though. The least he could do for making her wait was let her play with him a bit. He really was a predictable man, but seeing things play out was one of Neviah's favorite past times. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ aaaaaa aaaaaa

~*~*~{A}{l}{e}{x}{a}{n}{d}{e}{r} {V}{e}{r}{o}{s}{k}~*~*~ Alex stopped flexing his hand at the sound of her laugh. He watched in anticipation as Neviah did not throw the flower away. Instead she brought it to her nose, smelling its delicate aroma, making Alex smile softly as she spoke. Her voice was soft and somewhere between complacent and amused. Giving Alexander some assurance he would be forgiven..if only a little. Chuckling softly as she turned to look at him, Alex moved his hands, one traveling to the small in her back while the other touched her cheek softly. "Neviah..my sweet butterfly, of course you are too good for me." He stroked her cheek with his thumb in a loving gesture, as the hand on the small of her back, creeped further down. "But, you are a woman of love and compassion..and often forgive my misdeeds..overlooking my flaws and seeing the tender man inside my ever beating heart."
Alexander was grinning now. He loved to pull that sappy crap on Neviah, because even if she saw through it and punished him at times..it was worth it and very entertaining."Now..will you allow me your adoring company?" Alex was tempted to move his hand a tad further down and grasp what had distracted him earlier, but thinking better of it, he decided not to push it.
As his eyes strayed to the ground, he watched her pipe which had fallen earlier and smiled. Bending down, he retrieved the pipe, looking at it with an apologetic smile before placing it in Neviah's hand."Mistress Mary quite contrary..." He started to speak to the pipe, in his own variation of the name Neviah had given it. He had thought about it, a night he seeked Nevi's warmth and read the mortar book "The secret garden" to make her fall asleep. "i must apologize for Neviah, she was quite startled by my charm and seemed to have lost her grasp on you."
Moving his hand, to Neviahs hip, he motioned her back to the tavern. "I know..you where on your way out..But, you can tell your lover to wait right?..I am in much need of you...and despair is my companion in your absence.." Not knowing if she would comply or not, his smile turned into a smirk and he spoke in a tone that spoke of seriousness."And remember...You still owe me a rematch in that poker game..The stakes are still the same you know.." Alexander knew the competitive nature of the caterpillar, and how she would not back down from a chance to win a favor or a promise of knowledge. "So...what will it be Ma'cheri?"

Ⓝⓔⓥⓘⓐⓗ Ⓐⓑⓢⓞⓛⓔⓜ Ⓡⓤⓚⓐ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Neviah's smile grew as the man gently touched her cheek, a tell-tale sign that a performance was about to begin. "I wonder what it'll be this time, oracle, butterfly, or divine goddess." she questioned in her mind as Alex began his speech for forgiveness. As he spoke Neviah was careful to keep her face blank, except for the twinkle of amusement in her dark eyes. She didn't want him to get too full of himself while in the middle of the performance, or to try anything too ambitious. Though he could be a ham sometimes, he wasn't a complete fool. He was the one who taught the black king the ways of court, so reading facial expressions was like child's play to him. Neviah had to keep her wits about her when she was with him, but that was just part of the fun.
Neviah listened as the castle guard made his appeal for forgiveness to her. She let his question hang in the air, it was better to build suspense that way, but before she felt it was a long enough silence, he moved his hands away from her and bent down. In her surprise the mask of emotions fall apart, and she let her curiosity shine through. It was rare for her little puppy to learn new tricks, so it sparked a bit of that curiosity into Neviah's mind. "What is he doing? Did he learn another magic trick, or is he picking something for me?" she thought, the little cogs in her mind moving quickly. It was rare for the caterpillar to be confused by somethig, and this was one of those rare times, and it was written all over her face.
Neviah smiled as she saw what it was the little dog was up to. He was fetching the pipe she had dropped, and even remembered her name, thought he had put a bit of a twist on it. It was too late to try and hide her emotions, so Neviah simply let the tutor see the look of amusement on her face as he spoke to one of her favorite pipes. "Mistress Mary, well that does ring a few old bells." she thought with a smile as she remembered one of the first times she had let the little mutt in. She couldn't sleep, so he read her a book the last Alice had given her until she fell asleep. "I guess this is why I always open my doors to him. Puppies can be so cute, even if they leave a mess now and again." she thought with a smile, forgiving the dog once again.
Neviah's smile lingered as the guard stood and held her once again. The smile quickly twisted into a smirk of amusement as the ham's speech wasn't over yet. At the mention of her having another lover, she let out another laugh. He was the unfaithful one, and even if he didn't deserve it, Neviah was loyal to him. Unlike a lot of people, she was a naturally patient person. She knew things took time to develop, and knew that some things were worth the wait. She viewed Alex as a worthy investment of time, so she put some aside for him now and again. From what she'd seen in the future so far, it'd be worth it.
Finaly the performance was over, and Alex got serious again. "My dear, dear Alex, how could I refuse an offer that alluring?" she asked, and laughed a little before continuing. "I'll give you your rematch, but don't expect the outcome to be any different." she said, a playful smile on her face now. She had won several favors the last time they had played, and cashed a few of them in later that night. It was a fun and wild night, something she didn't usually do, but loved to.
Neviah kissed Alex, a sign that he was forgiven again, and held his hand as she did so. Once she pulled back she started walking towards the entrance of her tavern, pulling the castle guard along with her. "Your right that you caught me in the middle of leaving, but I was still deciding on where to go." she said, then turned to face the puppy and gave him a wink. "It seems like you made the decision for me though." she said with a smirk, and walked into her home's front "business" room.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ aaaaaa aaaaaa

~*~*~{A}{l}{e}{x}{a}{n}{d}{e}{r} {V}{e}{r}{o}{s}{k}~*~*~ Alex smiled as Nevia accepted his offer to a game and stayed."Good, now we can mmph" he was caught off guard with her actions and muffled his words as she kissed him, smiling as he regained composure and returned it with some sweetness. As Neviah pulled away and led him to the Tavern, he smirked at her words, feeling safe enough to annoy her, now that he was forgiven that is."So, if you were not sure, that means you were still deciding to either see your lover or come to the castle to pay me a visit...How interesting.."
Alexander grinned as she winked at him."But, i am glad i changed your mind...". He trailed off, as they walked into the "business room". His face darkening softly before abruptly pulling Neviah by the hand, and into his chest. smothering her into an embrace, As one hand moved to her chin, pulling her her face up in order to cover her lips with his. The other moving to the small of her back, where it held her securely to him, preventing her escape. After a few seconds of kissing her with passion and longing, he pulled away. A smug look in his face as he gazed into her all knowing eyes and smiled before kissing her forehead and letting her go."Had you left me out in the cold, i might have had a jealous fit haha."
Alex walked towards a chair where he sat back and put his feet on the table while smirking at Neviah."Now Love, where should we start?...a game perhaps?...or the usual trade in current events?" His voice was teasing and contained an amount of modest interest for both things he mentioned.

Ⓝⓔⓥⓘⓐⓗ Ⓐⓑⓢⓞⓛⓔⓜ Ⓡⓤⓚⓐ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Neviah rolled her eyes at Alex's tease, taunting her with the options of visiting him at the castle or seeing her 'other lover', as they descended down the stairs. "I wonder who he thinks my other lover is." she thought curiously. The thought of her having another lover was a constant tease that the black king's tutor often used against Neviah, though he never specified his suspicions, if he even had any. "Perhaps one of those rabbits, or that pet of Nithis's that he loves to scare." she thought, smiling at the entertaining thought. She had had a fling with the white rabbit once, but it didn't last too long before he broke it off, feeling guilty for being with someone else when he was in love with the dodo. And the thought of doing anything with that skittish melting pot was just hilarious. The poor little lizard was terrified to be around her, let alone in a more intimate setting. She did feel bad for Tweedle-dee though, the skittish creature was too absorbed with the king to see anyone else's affection for him, which left the vampire unrequited. It was such an interesting thing, relationships, and how they played out. Neviah had seen enough of them to know that nothing was perfect, so she stayed with the king's dog. Even if he strayed from the path, he usually came running back. It was more than what she could say for some of the other's of wonderland.
Neviah smiled as she was pulled into the dog's warm embrace, though after a moment it was wiped away with the kiss that Alex pressed against her lips. The kiss hadn't come as a surprise, but she was still able to lose herself in his passion as she tried to match his zeal. After a few moments he pulled back, breaking off the kiss. As he stared into her eyes, she stared into his, an amused smirk to match his smug look. "That sounds entertaining." she said at the mention of a jealous fit. It would of probably of included him begging her to reconsider, or threatening her 'lover' to a duel of some kind. In the end it all depended on how important the destination was, and how much Alex had made her laugh. Though some times she refused to stay and he followed her, which only annoyed her and complicated matters later. "Maybe that's why he thinks I keep another lover." she thought, her smirk growing a bit, inching towards an amused smile. Neviah had visited one or two other men's' homes after refusing to stay with Alex, so maybe it was one of them that he thought she kept on the side.
Neviah followed Alex to a table and sat down next to him. Seeing his feet on the table she rose an eyebrow, and tapped it with the end of her pipe. "Well, you could start by cleaning the mud off of my table, or you could move your feet." she said with a small smile. It wasn't the first time her puppy had forgotten his manners, so Neviah wasn't too surprised or outraged by the lack of etiquette. After a few times she had even begun to expect him doing it to see her reaction, so she was wise enough to deal with it with a bit of humor and poise. She couldn't have the playful puppy thinking he'd won quite yet, could she?
Neviah moved the pipe back to her lips, and inhaled. After savoring the taste, a bit citrus this time, she blew out a purple heart towards the bar. "I guess the usual trade will suffice." she said, a light hint of amusement in her smile. "That way once the business is over we can focus on our games." she said, and grinned. She wasn't sure when Alice would be arriving, so she didn't want to get into anything too time consuming. She figured she'd tease the dog for making her wait so long by just playing games of chance. Then if the Alice came she could slip away and say hello. Neviah looked at Alex, patiently waiting for him to start telling her the minor details that she over looked while searching through her mists.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ aaaaaa aaaaaa

|~| Nithis Soth, The Black King |~|Nithis soared above the mushroom leading to the caterpillar. While diving towards it, his shape began to grow smaller, allowing him to slip beneath the cap. Just before meeting the ground by the stairway, he extended his wings outward, slowing his decent; due to his small size, less air was displaced by this maneuver, allowing him little to no sound at all compared to the thunderous resounding the larger form would have created. His feet safely on the ground, Nithis grew and took on his normal size. He began to descend the stairway put paused at the sound of voices.
After a brief moment, he began to descend once again with the notion that the caterpillar would likely anticipate his arrival regardless. However, a familiar voice caught his ears and he paused again. A trade of business before games?... what was Alexander up to, Nithis wondered silently. Taking the form of a small beetle, the Black King latched onto the ceiling of the stairwell and began skittering quietly down, getting a better vantage point of the events within.

~*~*~{A}{l}{e}{x}{a}{n}{d}{e}{r} {V}{e}{r}{o}{s}{k}~*~*~ Alex chuckled as Neviah scolded him for messing with her table."Love, A little mud here and there never hurt anybody...but" swinging his feet off the table and taking out a rag from his pocket, he proceeded to clean the table. "If a clean table my lady wants...a spotless table she gets." He placed the Rag back in the pocket before sitting in the chair again.
He leaned forward and watched with an amused smile as Neviah blew out a purple heart."iv always wondered how you have done that..." Alex shook his head and sat back, folding his hands on his lap. "Now, down to business" Alexanders smile turned predatory as he began to speak."remember, this is a give and take..You also need to part with information...Just stating the rules beforehand." Alex pulled forward and locked gazes with Neviah. "Well, as you may or may not know, Miss door mouse has taken it upon herself to guard our lovely ex-princess, Marlicia..." Alex had to work hard to keep a scowl off his features. His distaste for Marlicia was very well known, especially since it was a battle whenever they met.Although it most of the time, it was provoked by his taunting."As she lives with Hatter, she is to gain information from the ones that visit her, which by some reason i cannot understand...is a lot of beings in underland..." Alex moved his hand to his chin and thought about miss Doris and her mission."Doris, is also under my command. whatever she uncovers i will use to help our king..i dont know why, but i feel that the other tittles might be planning something." Alex closed his eyes briefly thinking about past things and how no matter what, he would not falter with his king. "Now miss Neviah, i have told you my activities..Nothing else of importance in the castle, other than the irregular activities of the spawns of the forests..They have been gaining more of a personality..more of an identity."
His eyes opened slowly, catching Neviahs gaze. His lips turning into his trademark smirk."Now, my little lovely siren...i need your part of the deal, what has happened...what have you seen in the mists that might interest me? or my king?"

Ⓝⓔⓥⓘⓐⓗ Ⓐⓑⓢⓞⓛⓔⓜ Ⓡⓤⓚⓐ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Neviah smiled as Alex pulled a rag from his pocket and started to wipe the dirt his boots left from the table. "Thank you." she said with an amused tone, and a smile to match. Her eyes followed the King's dog as he sat back down, the table now spotless. "Your pretty good at cleaning tables, I wonder if I should have you do it more often." she said with a smirk. She worked at her mushroom alone, only occasionally cashing in favors when something had to be done that she didn't particularly want to do. Having the puppy's help and company would be nice more often, but the dog did like to wander. Neviah looked towards the door leading into the den for a moment, and listened silently. "Did I just hear someone?" she thought with a small frown, but then looked back at Alex and smiled. It was something she'd look into soon, but not until after Alex had his little performance. It was always so cute when he recited those rules.
Neviah inhaled another puff of smoke as her beloved pet spoke. It was the usual bits of information she was usually told, though Dorris working under him was something new. She thought that Dorris was more loyal to the bloody queen's niece than the new black king, and that her puppy's frequent meetings with her being more akin to what she imagined he thought of her with her supposed 'lover'. Still, she hadn't thought that had changed the little mouse's allegiance. It wasn't what she was expecting to hear, and she let it show with the slight raise of her eyebrows. "Maybe she's a better actress than I thought. I'll have to review a few events later tonight." Neviah thought with a small frown, and exhaled the smoke, a light green color this time with a mint flavor, in the shape of another heart. "So, you've sensed to tension in the air as well lately..." she said quietly after Alex mentioned the titles planning something. Times seemed to be getting harsher, and lines had been drawn. While some people marched to either side, Neviah sat on the line, a hand dipped in each pool. She was a symbol of the future and change, and she didn't often take sides. She had been the balance in the midst of wars in the past, but she had hoped it would be longer before she'd take that post again. War was a terrible time, and it seemed to be approaching again.
Neviah's worries were paused as Alex opened his eyes and smirked, calling her his lovely siren and asking her to sing for him. A smile crept across Neviah's face, and she held a finger to her lips. "Well, I think that there's something very recent that's happened that affects us. First though, I'd like to take a look." she said, and inhaled a puff of smoke from her pipe, then blew it out, forming a large orb in the center of the table, in between Alex and herself. Her eyes glazed over as she gazed at it. Using her mind's eye Neviah sorted through time, and went back to her stairwell before Alex had started to speak his bits of information, when she had heard something coming down the stairs. While the orb remained an ever changing mix of colors to everyone else, Neviah could see the King's image as he morphed into his human form and took a few steps down towards her den, then paused to shift into that of a beetle. With a smile Neviah blinked, and the orb faded away. "So Alex's owner has come, I wonder if it's to retrieve his lost pet, or to come for a bit of his own information. This does change things a bit... I think I'll have a little fun." Neviah thought.
Neviah leaned back, her eyes back to their normal luster. "Well, it seems as though I was mistaken, but I have more to tell than just that bit." she said with an air of casual amusement. While her puppy often took these trades seriously, Neviah rarely did, and when she did she never looked it. It was better to be hard to read, it kept people from using emotions against you. Amusement was a good cover for a number of things, so it was the one she often kept up. "Well, you might like to know that our King took a trip from the castle today, and is out flying around the land with your friend William today." she said with a smirk. It was something that she had glanced at as she exited from the mists, and would no doubt make her puppy jealous and the King feel smug, two very good things in her book. "Another bit of information that you might find a bit more helpful is the fact that your mouse and her charge, the bloody queen's fragile niece have left their garden this morning. They didn't even leave a note for the white queen's pet either, the poor hare was left all alone until one of the tweedle's showed up, probably to try and flirt with the fragile girl again, but who can say." she said with a light shrug.
Neviah suddenly grinned, "So, now that business is over, it's time to play." she said, and removed a pack of cards from her pocket. "So, what should it be this time? Blackjack, Poker, War, or maybe something else?" she asked, then smiled coyly. "We do have a third that can play with us this time. I've think he's been waiting patiently enough, though it was a bit rude for him not to knock." Neviah said, her coy smile shifting into that of a smirk. "I hope that your majesty is feeling well this morning. Would you like to play a game of cards with us? Or is spying from that crack above the door more entertaining?" she asked. a cooler tone to her voice this time. She found it offensive that the king would be so distrusting that he'd spy while she played with her puppy. The mistrust wasn't completely misplaced, but the least he could do if he was going to interrupt them was say hello.

|~| Nithis Soth, The Black King |~|Nithis began growing impatient with Alex's words; the man had a habit of speaking with a drawn and flowery sort of flare, especially around those he loved. This drew the king deeper into the dwellings, about to give his own position away when he paused and listened to the caterpillar. When she began to speak of the king leaving the castle, he knew he had been found out. Waiting for her to finish however, Nithis obliged her by coming down from the wall only after her request. Once on the floor, his change was swift and he drew a chair between the two, sitting with a sweep of his cape.
"I do apologize, my dear Neviah. I was merely curious as to how sharp you still were... it is good to see that you are still in top form."
Reaching forward, Nithis placed his hand on Neviah's gently. Lingering for a moment, as if asking for permission, he took the deck into his hands and began sorting cards through his fingers. Pausing, he drew the red queens, glaring at them for a moment before finding the black queens and discarding them to the side. Shuffling the queenless deck, he dealt a few cards to each player and then tossed the cards in the center of the table, mixing them about and allowing each to lay flat on its own. Casting his gaze to Alex, he inquired flatly.
"Got any jacks?"

~*~*~{A}{l}{e}{x}{a}{n}{d}{e}{r} {V}{e}{r}{o}{s}{k}~*~*~ Alex smiled as Neviah complimented him on cleaning the table."Like i said, anything you want...at anytime" He winked and chuckled while placing his hands behind his head.Alex watched as Neviah was lost in thought for a bit, before puffing out another heart, green this time."A green heart...caring, loving, full of hope...Much like mine eh?" he said this and wiggled his eyebrows. His expression turned a bit serious when she mentioned the creatures.
"Yes,my king's creatures have been so..restless lately"He was about to continue, when Neviah placed a slender finger to her lips and spoke about "looking" into things. Alex watched with a quiet expression, drinking her image as her eyes glazed over and the orb in the center of the table glowed. You could say, Alex loved Neviah more so than the others. She knew him, inside out and understood his ways. But, he also feared the woman and these moments where she showed her power. "My darling, if i didn't love you so..id kill you...my love, isn't it such a burden..to know all you have come too see, and not be able to change it?"
Alex kept on watching, his nerves on end as Neviah looked into the near future or the present and blinked making the orb vanish. He locked gazes with the caterpillar, and noticed her amusement as she mentioned that she had a bit more information. This made Alex smirk and lean forward, interested in what she had to say and forgetting his earlier thoughts. His eyebrows shot up in surprise, as she mentioned her king taking William out for a "walk". A small sneer caressed his features, as he thought of the scaleless weakling, pestering Nithis."Nithis...not telling me yours plans are you?" Alex shook his head and chuckled softly, as he noticed envy was corrupting him. "So, the king took out our soft skin twit...I must say, Nithis keeps him around for some odd reason, and i still dont understand...well, maybe one day he gets fed up with him, and ill eat him in a stew" He smiled and pushed the thought of William and nithis away, as Neviah mentioned Doris. He leaned forward and took her hand, thinking to tease her. "MY mouse?... is that envy i hear in your tone?" He drew back and chuckled thinking better of it. "Oh did she?...very, interesting..I wonder if MY mouse is actually doing her job, or just enjoying herself with that hatter" he shook his head, and stored these bits of information away for later.
Alex smiled and his eyes gleamed with anticipation, as Neviah suggested to start playing. He was going to suggest playing Old'maid as a joke, when she continued her words, saying that there was a third. His senses were quickly on alert trying to figure out who the intruder was, but before he could pick up any type of power, Neviah answered his question when she mentioned "Majesty". "Nithis...Crap" Alex, stood up silently, as Nithis seemed to appear out of thin air, the action not fazing him in the least. he bowed to his king and took his seat again."And here i thought...i was getting sweet nectar of love, from my Darling Neviah later...Nithis! this is not fair" Irritation pricked at Alex, but it was soon put out as Nithis took the cards from Neviah and as always, did his ritual of disposing of the queens in the deck.
Alexander took his cards and pouted slightly when Nithis asked for Jacks."Why,why, why! is it every time we play, you always ask for my jacks and take them from me." Alex took out a red jack and gave it reluctantly to Nithis. He shook his head and sighed. "Even as a child...Neviah, be careful, our king is a shark when playing this game" Alex grinned at Nithis before turning to Neviah and giving her a wink.

Ⓝⓔⓥⓘⓐⓗ Ⓐⓑⓢⓞⓛⓔⓜ Ⓡⓤⓚⓐ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Neviah laughed at her puppy's wiggling eyebrows. "Almost exactly, though I think you forgot something." she said, and rested her head gently on her hand. "Caring, loving, full of hope, and... hmm, what else?" she said, pausing for a moment to stare at him with a playful smile. "Jealous maybe? You always seem to sulk when I visit someone else..." she teased him, her voice light with amusement. His jealousy didn't often make her angry, but it could annoy her. So she made a point to tease him about it as often as he annoyed her about it. She had resisted the overly obvious bait of "another lover", but with the comparison of a green heart, she couldn't resist. The saying "green with envy" fit her flamboyant puppy too well after all.
Neviah watched with a light smile as her puppy took everything she said in. An envious flash of anger, covered up by a chuckle here, a tease there, contentment, and pondering thoughts. How much one could tell by simply watching someone when their defenses were down was astounding. Another perk of having Alex as a lover, besides the obvious nice chats and flowers. Neviah let out a laugh when Alex attempted to tease her. "Envy? Why would I be envious of a bone my puppy buried for the tea maker to uncover?" she said, and chuckled lightly. "Besides, I already know that your mine." she said with a smirk.
Neviah smirked as she watched her puppy bow to his master, probably cursing in his mind for his rotten luck. When the black king sat and attempted to explain himself, Neviah's smirk shifted into a small smile. "Well, I'm glad that my skills are still satisfactory to your highness." she said with a hint of amusement in her voice. She watched as his majesty rested his hand over her's; a sign or apology, or permission? Perhaps both. Whatever the case Neviah nodded, and the king withdrew his hand, taking the cards with him. As usual he removed the queens from the deck before dealing out the hands, and mixing the rest into the middle. "Go Fish then? It's been a while." she thought as his majesty asked Alex for any Jacks.
Neviah let out a laugh when her puppy started to whine about having to give up his jacks. At his warning Neviah smiled, and decided to tease him. "Really? I never thought the king was the type to play games, but I guess that means I'll actually have some competition this time." she said playfully, and brought Mistress Mary to her lips again. She took a deep breath and held in the puff of smoke, savoring the sweet flavor "I wonder if there was a time when he didn't hate his mother. He was raised by my pet from a young age, and killed the bloody red queen at the first chance he got." she pondered as she blew out the puff of smoke, which took the form of a blue butterfly that fluttered over the mess of cards before fading into nothingness. Her gaze was serious for once as it drifted from the fading butterflies to their king. "I suppose somethings are better left unknown." she decided and turned her attention back to her hand. "Nothing off the bat, I'll have to see if I get lucky." she thought, and the usual hint of amusement filled her eyes again.

|~| Nithis Soth, The Black King |~|Nithis looked as Alexander began to complain, smiling to himself ever so slightly. Alex always threw a fit like this, a waste of energy if you asked the king... when there were so many better things to be done... or perhaps there was really nothing left; this world was already dead and nothing could quell The Black King's suffering. At times he felt like a cancer patient, merely bidding time until the end came. For now, however, he would play this game.
"You've always had your prince in your hands..."
Nithis's expression towards Alex became a dull one, seemingly poking at the man's heart. Laying down four jacks, Nithis turned to smirk at Neviah; it was a risky move, asking one person for a single card when he himself had three and could lose them, but he didn't want Alex getting any points... his former teacher performed better when he was riled up.
"Well now, my dear lady, have you any kings?"((Its fine, though I can't bring myself to actually put effort into these posts now... been so long since I've posted... waiting...))
