Amaia stare out of her cave at the waterfall crashing in front of the cave's entrance. She saw the blue tinted water have a warm, bright color added to it, from the sun. It was a warm day, but as usually her cave stayed rather cold. Normally she liked the cold, but today it was just too cold for her. She wanted to relax out in the sun, letting her fur soak up the sun. If only it was safe out there.
Every since she was a cub Amaia has always been cautious. She always moved from place to place, finding perfect hideaways, until she found her beautiful cave. It was her home and nothing could change that. There would never be a place she would feel more safe at. It shielded her from the outsiders.
Today though she decided to leave the cave, even if it was for a little while. She needed the sun and it would give her a break from the cold. Once her mind was set she jumped threw the rushing water and swam in her little lake. How good the water felt against her fur, she thought as she went to shore. Once she got there she shook herself off and headed into the forrest. Hopefully she would find a delicious meal waiting for her.
Leenah lead the way into the forrest. It was a lot more darker than she had been anticipating, but it was worth it. Every where she looked there was beauty. The smells, the plants everything. There were some flowers that she had never even seen before. Her steps quickened as she went further and further into the jungle, almost forgetting that she had a friend behind her.
"Lee please slow down," the tired voice of Puteri cried out. She was a good ten feet away from her cheetahess friend. If she got lost in here she feared that neither of them could get out. "Do you even know where you are going darling?"
Puteri was all for adventures, sure, but it was getting a bit too much for her. She still needed to get back to her den and take care of her cubs and she didn't want to worry Katashi. Lee she remembered had to get back to her mate as well as get him a meal. She hoped that their little adventure wouldn't cause either of them to be late.
Lee stopped to let Puteri catch up, her tail waving impatiently. She like Puteri, but sometimes she could walk really slow. How would they ever venture the whole forrest if they were slow? "I am going where ever my feet take me, your highness" She decided, meaning she had no idea. Than she heard a sound in the distance. It sounded like something crashing, like water. "Do you hear that Princess? It sounds like a waterfall!"
Lee darted toward the sound, not bothering to slow down. until she found the waterfall. "Isn't this beautiful Princess?" She asked. There was no answer though. "Princess?" Lee looked around her and saw that Puteri was no where in sight. "PRINCESS?"
There was someone else here, Amaia thought as she heard steps in the jungle. She walked carefully, making sure not to make a sound. If the other creature was mean she didn't want to run into it. For now it would be better to stay at a safe distance. She quietly snuck up on the creature and hid behind a bush. The creature was a leopardess like her, but bright pink and a bit bigger in size. She wondered what the strange leopardess was doing in her jungle. It would be best just to watch for now, she decided.
Puteri looked around for Lee. She had darted off too quickly this time. It was getting harder to keep up with the cheetah. She let out a sigh. Than she saw something in the bushes. It must have been her mind playing tricks on her, she decided, though it would be worth checking out. She made her way to the bush when she was interrupted by a familiar voice.
"Princess Puteri! I found you thank goodness! I was so worried about you! I thought you might get hurt and if you got hurt I would be in trouble with your king!" Leenah said rather quickly. As soon as she realized that Puteri was no longer with her she realized that she needed to go find her before she got hurt. Luckily for her Puteri seemed to be gazing at a bush and far from harm. "I found a really cool waterfall and a lake! Want to go look at it with me?"
Amaia heart was raising as the leopardess approached her. She had no idea what she would do if she was caught! What if the pink leopardess attacked her. There was no way for her to defend herself. Luckily for her the purple cheetah came at just the right time. However the cheetah seemed to have found her home. She would continue to watch them and if needed she would defend her cave.
She made her decision. Before the pink leopard could respond Amaia jumped out of her bush, landing right infront of the leopardess and cheetah. "Stay away from my cave." She snarled baring her teeth. "That is my crave and you are not welcomed in it." She hoped that neither of them would notice her legs shaking.
Puteri almost laughed at the other leopardess. She thought it was cute how she wanted to protect her home. Of course if they wanted to take her cave there was nothing the young leopardess could do. She was out numbered and from what Puteri saw of Lee, Lee could hold her own in a fight. "Darling we have no intention of stealing your lovely cave, we were just exploring this jungle. We will be sure to leave your cave alone."
She wondered why the leopardess was so defensive about her cave. Did something happen to her? She glanced at Lee and knew trouble was about to happen.
Lee stared at the blue leopardess. She couldn't understand what her problem was. They just wanted to go on an adventure and that cave was the perfect spot to venture to. Did this lonely leopard think she could stop them from doing what they wanted. "I want to go into that cave Madame Blue." Lee said, coming up with a nick name for the leopardess. She stared at her defiantly. "We came her for an adventure."
Puteri stared at her partner, not believing what she was hearing. Had Lee never heard of the phrase 'you can catch more flies with sugar than salt?' She shook her head in disbelief and looked at the leopardess. "I am sorry about my friends behavior. She just wants some fun. I promise to keep her away from your cave." she said sweetly. "My name is Puteri by the way and this is my friend Lee."
Amaia looked back between the cheetah and leopardess. The leopardess seemed to be kind and Amaia wouldn't mind getting to know her better, but the cheetah. She stopped and glared at her. The cheetah was a jerk. "It is nice to meet you now go away." She said turning around to leave. She didn't want to spend her time with them if she didn't have to. She trusted the leopardess enough to let her take care of her friend.
Lee followed the leopard. She did not want to take no as an answer. Time to try a different tactic. "Madame Blue, I want to be friends." She declared as she followed the leopard. "I think we could be good friends, maybe best friends. That way we can explore your cave together."
Puteri wondered how dim Lee was. Did she not understand that the leopardess really didn't want to be near them. "Lee she obviously doesn't want to be our friend. Lets go explore else where."
Amaia kept going, completely ignoring the cheetah. She hoped that she wouldn't follow her too far. Her cave was nothing special and she couldn't understand why the cheetah was so determined to explore it.
Lee stopped and went back to Puteri. She wanted to see the inside of the cave. Hopefully she could figure out a way to explore the cace without the leopard noticing.
