Violations of the rules shall be handled on a case by case basis, and can result in but are not limited to: A warning, a stern talking to, a shpancking, temporary banning, or permanent banning.
General Guild Rules:
1. Obey the Crew at all times. If you feel that a crew member is abusing their power, notify the Captain or a Vice-captain and it will be taken care of.
2. No completely OOC posts in the RP threads. That's why we have the OOC thread.
3. Profanity and sexual content are fine, but if it get's too heated, you will be asked to cease.
4. Racism/Sexism/sexual discrimination/religious or personal attacks are not tolerated outside of the RP. It's fine for your RPC to be, but keep it IN the RP.
5. The rp is considered literate. I don't expect extravagant posts every time, but do try to make at least a 5 sentence paragraph in each post. Being descriptive makes it easier for your guildmates to rp with you.
6. Be considerate of your guildmates. Not everyone is on the same level of skill with rping. Teach before you condemn.
7. Wait for responses before posting again. It's unfair to your guildmates if you post multiple times in rapid succession.
8. If you aren't a crew member do not post new threads in the main forum without permission.
9. Please post in the absence thread and tie off any convos/fights when you are expecting to be gone for a long period. If you disappear from the RP for an extended period with no word or responses to pms your character may be killed off/go missing to keep the rp flowing.
10. Follow the Gaia ToS.
Character Creation Rules:
1. Start a new thread in the personnel database forum with your character name and the icon representing which race they are as the title: [$], [⚘], or [⚙]. Add a [U/C] tag until you're ready for a crew member to look over it.
2. Do not post in the RP until a crew member has approved your character. When your character is approved add [+] to the thread title in front of your character's name.
3. After your character is approved and your race leader/commanding officer will assign you either a 1st or 2nd rank based upon the RP sample you submitted with your guild application.
4. 1st ranks are required to use your race's basic mecha and 2nd ranks are can use your race's ace mecha. Only once you have been awarded/promoted to a 3rd rank will you be allowed to design a custom mech. Also of note: Once a Dorsynian character reaches 3rd rank they are also awarded a Crown powered armor with their custom Throne.
5. Once your rank is assigned you must distribute your character's attribute points.
6. If you wish to play as something other than a mecha pilot, ask a crew member. (This is mostly due to variances in rank and command)
RP Rules:
1. No metagaming. Keep in mind that what you know is not always what your character knows.
2. No autohitting/puppetting. If you have permission from the opponent then it's fine, but otherwise don't.
3. No god modding. Self-explanatory. Nobody likes rping with the always perfect character.
4. No perfect dodgers. Sometimes you will be hit. When that time comes try not to miracle dodge your way out of it.
5. No hammer space clips. This is a real robot rp and as such you do not have infinite ammo. In this universe even beam weaponry and certain kinds of melee weapons run out of charge if it's not directly linked to a mech's reactor. You don't have to keep exact count, but try to stay within the realm of possibility.
6. Keep in mind what is posted as your mech's loadout in your profile is your loadout, end of story. Do not just magically add weapons/defenses to your character in battle because you feel it would be useful.
7. For the sake of limiting character confusion all secondary RPCs should be posted with a mule account. All of your mules and the characters linked to them shall be documented in the Who's Who thread.
8. You are only allowed 1 mech per character. You may choose to switch out of your current mech for a new one, but you cannot have two at once.
9. Until the guild has reached sufficient size, no character can be above race rank 4 at this point in time.
10. Troop numbers under each ranks control:
1 - 0 - Fireteam Member
2 - 4 - Fireteam
3 - 26~55 - Platoon
4 - 80~225 - Company
5 - 80k~200k - Army
6 - 400k~1kk - Front (1kk = 1million)
7 - 1kk~10kk - Theater
8 - Race Leader
Custom Mech and Ω Technology Rules:
1. This is a real robot RP and as such any God in the box/clip type weaponry is strictly forbidden. You must be able to come up with a reasonable explanation of why your item exists and even then gamebreaking items that are feasible will be disallowed.
2. Keep in mind when you're loading your mech out with nukes, giant cannons, and whatever other uber destructive wide area weaponry your heart desires that these type of weapons will be heavily controlled by commanding officers and many times you won't even be allowed to carry them into battle, much less arm them due to the fact that they can easily cause heavy friendly fire damage.
3. Crew members meet in the crew thread and vote to award Ω Technology randomly. You will be notified via PM if your character has located a piece of it and what level it is. Then you design what it is your character found and post it in the Ω Tech forum for approval.
4. Follow the same guidelines for creating a new character when making a custom mech/Ω tech. The custom mech should be added as a new post in the custom Mecha Forum for approval and the Ω Tech should be posted in the Documented Ω Technology forum for approval.
5. No custom mech ever comes with Ω Technology that wasn't previously found by your race in the rp and subsequently awarded to your character by a commanding officer or backwards engineered for mass production. Don't even go there. At the most it will have an experimental version of something derived from your race's technology specialty.
