Her neck craned in a stretch as she managed to snatch a patch of sweet cloves by the small river where she happened to graze. Her blood red hair shined against the sunlight as did her white coat. Hooves gently kicked up dirt as she moved about, mane and tail dragging along the ground behind her. Her pelt quivered gently ever so often as she moved from spot to spot. The day had been peaceful as was the weather. She was slowly getting used to the plains and the other Azrein and chosen. It was getting easier to speak to others without Dark's presence or help. However, she still feared for when she was one on one with another or when she wasn't close to home and meeting someone new. Nailiah still had some things to work out with herself.

After several meetings with other Azerin and finding out that some of them just were down right annoying and on the dimmer scale of things, Zeddler had kept to himself for a good while. Oh yes, he helped out around the farms where he had a bed of straw to sleep on. Aside from that, he kept to himself. Until today.
He wanted out and so he ran along the banks of the river at top speed...which in all consideration wasn't too fast since he hadn't been one of those colts to run all the dang time. With such wonderful weather and sweet scents in the breeze, Zeddler couldn't help but just run and run and run... and was that a white mare with red hair? The painted stallion skidded to a halt, nearly sitting from the suddenness of it all. He stood on the other side of the river and stared at this fine thing grazing.
Catching a frog, Zeddler backed up then launched himself into the river, fording it and climbing the bank only to look like a fool when the frog in his mouth kicked him and hopped away indignantly. Zeddler gave the mare a sheepish smile, 'Hi. "

The mare's ears flicked back and forth as she strolled along the edge of the bank. Her hooves gently pounded against the grass as she walked. Some of her hair even dipped close and into the waters, but it felt good to her.
Then suddenly there was splashing, her fur becoming wet from the explosion of water. She raised her head shaking and backing up a little. As she settled herself down, her silver eyes came upon the form of a painted brown stallion with a scarf around his neck. Her eyes met with his blue and she breathed in his scent. The frog coming out of his mouth was different, but it made her giggle all the same. "Hello." She nickered back. "Going for a swim?"

"Oh yes. " the stallion said, spitting the taste of the residual mucus from the frog from his mouth. Ew. Frogs tasted nasty. "It's a lovely day for a swim. " Somehow he managed to look suave while wiping his mouth on his foreleg. Stupid frog slime.
And no, he hadn't gotten a good look at this very pretty mare until the taste wasn't that bad. Zeddler blinked and tilted his head when he finally took a look at the striking red hair and white coat of the pretty stunning mare. . . . He was meeting a lot of white mares lately. This must be a trend. "Is this your riverbank? "

Nai couldn't help but chuckle as she watched him. There was a reason horses normally didn't eat other beings - especially frogs. Blech! She could only hope to imagine what he had been going through. "It sure is. Swimming is one of my favorite activities, though sometimes my hair does get heavy." The mare admitted shaking her head to move her bangs from her face.
Her tail twitched and raised as she tilted her head. "Mine? Oh no! I was just traveling along and..I got hungry. And it looked peaceful here. What do you think?" Her silver eyes glowed gently as she watched him before she stole a drink from the river. "I don't think it really matters who owns it..." Nailiah commented as she raised her head back to turn and look at him. "What say you, Stallion?"

"That's fine...though hair tends to clump and what not.... Very pretty by the way. " he said absently still trying to get the taste of frog out of his mouth. It wasn't a terrible taste, just a very slimy one. And to think at one point in the genetic history horses were carnivores!
At the denial of the bank of the river being hers, Zeddler nodded his head then flopped down to have a roll in the grass and dirt. There appeared to be no dangers about and hardly anything remotely dangerous was going on. Well, unless you count the female, as females tend to be very touchy. "I think it is a snazzy spot. Nice and warm. " he would say as he got to his feet, shaking out the excess dirt from his pelt, mane , and tail. "Zeddler...not Stallion. But thank you. That's a very nice name too. And what a nice collar you have there~ "

Nailiah gave a gentle nicker. "Thank you. Sometimes I think it doesn't do much to make me pretty..." The last comment was more of an off thought for the white mare. A slight awkward feeling came over the mare for a brief moment. She should have more self-esteem than she did, but sometimes it was hard for her.
She tilted her head a little watching him drop and roll about in the grass. "Is that a dirt bath? Or does it just feel good? I've heard about others like us doing such a thing just to relax and what not." Her eyes watched him curiously listening to his voice. Nailiah giggled a little. "I know that's not your name silly, but I didn't know what to call you. I should apologize though. My name is Nailiah, Zeddler. I like Zeddler better than Stallion though." Her eyes glowed with a brief happiness as she stretched her neck and shook her frame, hair slightly bouncing and waving to her movements, muscles rippling under white fur. As she calmed, her nostrils gave a gentle flare. "Thank you. I think it is too. I like your scarf too...it's very pretty..." Nailiah came a little bit closer to inspect the markings more than to invade his space, though he was interesting and smelled wonderful, like the earth and water.

He just roared with jovial laughter. He wasn't meaning to make her uncomfortable, but she was acting very adorable and endearing at the moment. Such a pretty mare.... shame about her self-image. "Its very pretty. Shiny, red...like those apples humans stick in the bubbling pots and stick with sticks. Candied apples. Those. "
It was a little bit of both relaxation and just getting a good coating of dirt to protect from the sun and flies. He blinked up at her and thought for a moment or two in contmplative silence. "Both? Why don't you try it. It's quite liberating. Wheee~" Always was a fun, but it did end, like the previous post said.
"Very nice to meet you, Nailiah. And such a lovely name to go with a pretty girl. Ne.....wha? " He was a little put off guard when she was practically in his bubble. No. Stomping on his bubble as she inspected his markings and scarf.
It was his turn to act a little uncertain. Like a blubbering fool, Zeddler made a few squeaks and attempts at taking the compliment. It probably sounded like he was suddenly taken by some weird whatsamajigger thingy. " T-thanks.... " He cleared his throat and attempted to look all regal, or as regal as one covered in dirt could. "You have quite the pretty collar yourself, Nailiah.

Nailiah felt her cheeks seem to redden as he described her mane so. It made her feel better about herself, like she was in fact a good looking mare that could be courted all the while. Not that he was, she didn't think.
The dirt bath was tempting. He seemed to be having a lot of fun with it which just made her want to join in and roll around, but he had gotten up to do so. Maybe she'd ask him to join her the next time she felt the urge. All the while she was thinking, her eyes were studying his form and how interesting it looked. How handsome and different it made him. Nailiah didn't realize she was invading on his personal privacy until she herd the uncomfortable noises he made. The mare quietly backed away from him giving him back his space while gazing at him with apologetic eyes. She should have known better than to do that to him, but Nailiah often got carried away sometimes.
"Thank you for thinking my name pretty. And I'm sorry about that. I didn't mean to molest you...I was just curious about your markings and your scarf. And you smell really good." She found herself saying the last bit as more of an afterthought that should have stayed in her thoughts, but she didn't think he would mind. "My collar? Oh, yes...thank you. Most think I would be in bondage, but really it was a gift...from my chosen...Do you have a chosen?" Her silver eyes glowed a little tilting her head toward him.
