I just started with Etsy. I'm not sure if it's better than Ravelry or not...It seems simple though. However let me get this straight... You pay 20 cents to list your item. Then they charge you 3.5% for the item you sell.
3.5% sales fee When you make a sale on Etsy, you will be charged 3.5% of the total sale price. This percentage does not include the shipping price.
So what does that mean? They take like...a dollar off of what you sell? Do they subtract the amount you get with the sales fee automatically or do you have to pay them manually? confused
Sorry I just wanted to know before I even use Etsy....

I use Etsy and I'm not really sure how it works exactly but they manually take it out when an item is purchased, but when you list an item it adds up on an Etsy Bill which you pay whenever you have the money, I think it's a good deal, I've made more money than i've lost if that's what you're worried about. Etsy is a lot easier and better than trying to sell on ebay or something. I use both Etsy and Ravelry to adertise, I think you'll be happy with the decision to sell on etsy.
