It wasn't often that he got out, Shiori would just prefer that he always be at his apartment in case the man needed him for anything... instead though he was allowed to go today because the man wasn't going to need him, well at least other then to look after his daughter. It wasn't that he minded though, in fact he liked when Alys came to visit because she kept Gemma company. Though it was the times when she visited with her father that things got a little awkward since it seemed that Gemma hated Shiori, wanting nothing more then to maul and scratch the man... It was Kaimana and Alys that kept it from happening as of yet.
They didn't have to worry about Shiori today and didn't have to worry about the man being at risk of getting himself chewed on. Instead all they had to worry about was, "What do we want for dinner?" He asked the pair sitting in the cart.
"Meat." Gemma answered.
"Salad." Was Alys's answer.
And Kaimana found himself starring at the two that were gazing up at him in a manner that said it was what they wanted and that they weren't going to change their mind. He gave a chuckle before nodding, "Alright, we can find that I'm sure." He said as he pushed them forward through the aisles of the store.

The sigh that escaped the tall creature's mouth would have been more forcibly irritated-sounding if it wasn't for the fact that, despite what he may have persisted, it was a well-deserved punishment. The breath ended up sounding more emotionless with the confliction of reluctant amusement tossed into the mix. Regardless, the insistent poking that Star was receiving every five minutes was starting to make his side feel uncomfortably raw.
"Kreutz... I'm not going to fall asleep, okay?" he stated bluntly, snatching the culprit's hand up in a ginger grip. He couldn't help but chuckle at the quizzical glance the betzalel offered to the man, "I took a long enough nap before we got here."
Well, that just sounded like a perfectly obvious cop-out to the skink child, but he didn't feel like calling Star on it. He was still irritated with how often it happened, and how much of a detriment it became whenever Kreutz wanted to go anywhere. Of course it wouldn't be a problem now that they were in one of the most boring establishments imaginable. It really didn't seem fair.
The dark-featured child turned and folded his hands behind his head. "Well that's a first," he remarked offhandedly. Star shook his head, a small smirk playing on his features as he went back to digging out some oranges. So transparent, he mulled, thoughts tinged with the creeping sensation of guilt. Maybe he could figure out somewhere fun to go after this little errand...

As they headed for the produce section of the store Gemma seemed to grow completely disinterested, seeing nothing at all fun about fruits or vegetables other then perhaps how much fun he could have if he were allowed to throw them. Leaning against the back of the cart he gave a groan, ears laying back. This was so boring... why couldn't they have gone to the butcher first? He knew the answer to that of course, the same answer as to why they always went there last. It meant a significant amount of time less that Kaimana had to guard the meat otherwise Gemma would be into it and eating it rare... something that disturbed the man more then a little.
"Come on, it's not as bad as that." Kaimana said with a laugh, reaching forward to ruffle his hair, "Alright now, Alys, what would you like in your salad?" He asked of her, watching the way she moved to sit up on her knees to look at the stuff as they went passed and she would point from time to time to motion at what she wanted, giving a bit of a smile. It would be a rather strange sort of mix but so long as she ate it Kaimana didn't mind spending the money on what she wanted, "You just make sure to eat all of it and you two can have dessert... though we will need to pick out dessert."
Both perked up a bit then, finding the mention of dessert to be something that both would enjoy. Gemma was already trying to think on what sort he wanted... that was until he spotted another child and he nearly lunged to his feet, giving a hissing sound in his throat. Who, or what, was that?! It looked like... like... well he didn't know what but a little like a human version of Nagendra. As though sensing the comparison his tail, one that was a sentient being all its own, and a cobra at that, raised up to look toward what Gemma was looking at curious.
Kaimana sighed, "Sit down Gemma, I don't want you falling out of the cart." He said, not noticing what it was that the boy and his tail were starring at for the moment.

Kreutz found himself wandering around the produce section of the store as he waited for Star to complete his search for whatever fruits and vegetables he thought the two of them needed. Needed, that seemed a little amusing to the boy; was it really something that was needed, or was that just what they wanted the general public to believe? Most of it didn't even taste very good...
He found himself prodding a mango around so that it spun colors of red and green as it rolled in place. He pulled himself away from it to scan the jams that were displayed on the opposite side of the expansive area, inching down the aisle. It took him a moment to realize that he was sort of following a man with two children riding around in the cart, and even then it wasn't until the older boy -- one around his own age, from the looks of it -- started hissing at him out of aggression. He blinked, wondering momentarily whether he looked like some sort of stalker or thief with this awkward setup, but the thought was quickly overlapped by curiosity, if out of a bit of irritation on his part.
However, instead of leaving them alone, as it was apparent that he wasn't entirely welcome where he was currently at, Kreutz decided to further instigate the matter. He stopped in step, pitched slightly forward, and stuck his tongue out in retort. Perfectly sensible!
Not to mention perfectly potentially dangerous in a public setting.

Alys turned to look over toward the boy that seemed to have caught the attention of the one that was her brother, starring at him for a long moment before turning to look at Gemma, "Gemma... it's a lizardman!" She whispered in a rather loud tone of voice, finding that she rather liked the coloration of their new friend... or at least he was instantly marked as 'friend' in her mind since she rather liked the look of his coloration. Gemma on the other hand wasn't so easy to win over.
In fact the nue was crawling over the side of the cart, landed gracefully on his feet thanks to his cat blood, and padded over toward the other boy. He wasn't sure who he was or what he was but he needed to check him out, to see if he were a threat or a potential friend which was what he knew Alys saw him as. Not sure what he thought of the idea of her liking the guy so much... but what the Hell, he'd give him a chance he thought as he got close enough to invade the guy's personal space. Once there he started to sniff at him while his cobra tail flicked it's tongue out at him, he didn't smell threatening was the general consensus between the pair, "Who are you?" He demanded instantly, seeming to be a touch lacking when it came to polite conversation. Then again that could be partially blamed on his upbringing thus far...
Behind him Kaimana was flushing and shaking his head, "Gemma... you are supposed to introduce yourself before asking such things.. and in a less demanding tone as well when ask someone's name, please..." The pretty Asian said... though he was completely ignored by the nue that continue to do his best to stare Kreutz down.
