Rose screamed out in pain from what Mason did to her. She shook it off, in time to stand beside Naylor. Watching Mason as he fell to the ground, she wrapped her arms around Naylor, looking away not wanting to see him fall flat on the ground. She hid her head in his shoulder, afraid to see what his body would look like. Lying there on the ground lifeless. She hugged herself close to Naylor almost crying.

"He's..." Naylor couldn't believe his eyes, Mason had done the seemingly impossible, "Rose he's... He's..." He was finding it hard to finish his own thoughts. He allowed himself a moment to clear his brain, "We's alive Rose." He said in a semi-calm manner. "He saved himself." Naylor couldn't believe his eyes or his words. With that power he could've easily killed both Naylor and Rose.
In those final seconds of falling Mason had seemed to change though, like snapping out of a daze. It all seemed a jumbled in Naylors mind, one thing was certain though. "There is no way he survived that without some mental injuries, my guess is his mind got rid of the nonessentials, his memories."

Rose turned her head quickly to look at Mason. Lying on the ground below them, she looked to Naylor in surprise and then she turned to look at Mason again. "How?" She whispered, she looked back to Naylor. "What do we do?" She whispered, she knew that they couldn't just leave him there. The government would just come to get him, and kill him for failing in killing her. She didn't want that to happen no matter how much she wanted to forget Mason, and live on with Naylor. She had picked Naylor and didn't want any different than him.

"Well, when he wakes up he won't remember anything, but he'll still be able to function." Naylor explained as he started to get even more of a grasp on reality. "So we would have to give him new memories probably." Naylor looked back down to the alley where Mason had fallen. He reached out with his mind, and found Mason. He was indeed still alive, but having used so much psychic energy made it impossible to get into his head. "The stunt he pulled off though is going to see to it that he won't be able to use his psychic powers for a while, perhaps ever." He tried again to get into Mason's brain, but failed yet again. "Also, all that psychic static he generated is going to make it impossible to enter his brain unless he can find a way of emptying it." The entire situation was stressful, but Naylor found that talking helped him vent it. He was out of things to say though. If Mason truly did recover from this, the odds were that he was going to be a normal person. There was seemingly nothing left for Mason, and for Naylor, that was a blessing. Mason held secrets that Naylor didn't want his Rose to know. Secrets of Naylor's days in the government. The time before the rebellion, and a time that Naylor had never shared with Rose. He was the first government assassin, and all that meant now-a-days was nightmares.

Rose nodded listening to what he was saying. She turned to look at Naylor, she leaned forward kissing his lips gently. As to side track them both. She pulled back looking into his eyes. "What are we going to do to make that happen? Let him stay with us?" She asked, being a little sarcastic as she said the last sentence, but knowing that it was a possibility.

"Well either us or one of the other rebels." Naylor replied and the rush in his voice died as the adrenaline faded from his body. There were a few rebels he would actually trust with such a delicate matter. He figured that Rose would want to see to it personally though. He couldn't blame her, but that still didn't make him dread the idea any less. Mason had shared an intimate past with Rose, and although Naylor knew she would never be unfaithful the whole situation seemed off.

Rose nodded to Naylor, taking his hand into hers. "Than us it is." She whispered, as she started to take him down the stairs to get down to Mason. "We have to make sure that no one else gets to him first." She whispered as she started to run down the stairs. She wanted to get him to a safe place quick, so that he could heal up first. She turned around stopping suddenly to look to Naylor. "I love you, and nothing is going to change that." She whispered to him, just wanting to say it to him once again.

"I love you too." Naylor replied with a gentle kiss, then he got down to business. "Take Mason to a hotel room, we need to assess him before we take him to some place where he could learn something we don't need him to know." Naylor wanted to make sure that the government wasn't using him, and until he was he was going to let him around anything that had to do with Rose or the rebels. "I'm going to go alert some of the high ranking rebels, can you handle this Rose?"

Rose looked at him, then thought to herself. Seeing if she could do it. "As long as you don't take to long, yeah." She whispered, completely doubting herself, her eyes showing how much she doubted herself. She knew that Naylor could see it too. "I can handle him while he is a sleep." She whispered, as she started to continue down the stairs with him. Still holding on to his hand so that she could fell him for as long as she could. So that while he was gone, she could still seem to have him with her.

Naylor let go only when he had to. They were outside the skyscraper, across from them was the alley in which Mason was laying. Naylor gave her a gentle kiss then parted with her to go down the sidewalk. She was still on his mind, she always would be.
Mason was still unconscious. His sword was still in his hand, but it was sheathed. He looked good for having just fallen to many stories to count.

Rose hated to be separated from Naylor, and it made it even worse that she had to be separated from him, and be beside Mason. She couldn't do anything else really. She wanted to make sure that Mason was okay. No matter what he did to a few minutes ago, he was still close to her heart. Yes it was a rather complicated issue, but she could handle it right? Probably not, but she would act like she could, even if Naylor could read every lie she could ever give him.
She watched as Naylor walked down the sidewalk away from her. She sighed, and slowly started to walk over to Mason's body. She knelt down and took his sword from beside him. Deciding that she wanted to hid it. Just to see where his mind was. If he truly did forget everything. She moved it over her head, and under her shirt. Hiding it easily with the sweat shirt that she was wearing. Once she was done she moved her long hair back to fall against her back. She bent down to him, and moved his hair from his face. She was going to wait there until he woke up, but then she realized where she was. She started to get him up to a siting position. Using the psychic powers that she had, she got him to his feet and started to make him act like he was walking himself. She had his arm around her shoulder as she lead him to the hotel that Naylor was talking about.
With out him waking up she actually got him to the hotel and in a room with no problems. Having the powers that she did helped a lot. She was sitting on the couch, resting, and relaxing. Preparing herself for when he would wake up. She had him resting on the bed, just letting nature take it's course in waking him when ever he was ready. She didn't want to rush anything and make him worse off than he could be.
