Japanese girls running around with an exorcising camera to ward off vengeful ghosts? Sounds weird, but these games are fantastic. Scary, with some very creepy ghosts, but once you find out what happened they turn from terrifying to pitiable.
I'm a big fan of games with multiple endings too, even if the changes are more subtle, unlike the Silent Hill series.

I remember playing Fatal Frame....3? Scared the living crap out of my little sister when I took a picture of a ghost. Then the game just suddenly disappeared.

The japanese definitely know how to make survival horror games better then we americans do. The first Fatal Frame in my opinion is the scariest although all of them are freaky and scary none the less. Just the first one since it takes place in a huge a** mansion.
The Silent Hill series that game just ******** with your mind like literally. xD

Oh, I love Fatal Frame, so many great memories of that game. I love how it didn't need gore to scare the hell out of you. And it was the first and last time I've ever felt like a decent photographer.

My mother raised me with horror movies. The first movie I ever remember watching was Arachnophobia when I was 4 so I have always had a love for the scary. However on my first playthrough of Fatal Frame I found a lot of flaws that made the game a lot less scary. First the controls were ridiculous and hard to learn. Second, the ghost thing never really scared me all that much..
Really though I guess its a matter of personal taste as to what you are scared of. Like I said horror movies haven't scared me in 14 years so Why should horror games lol.

I was also raised on horror moves. My first was Pet Cemetery at four. I saw Arachnophobia on a dare when I was seven. It scared my older sister and her friends and they thought it would get me, but it didn't. Horror movies have never scared me, but games do. I guess its because its more like its actually happening to you. You're not watching some dumb chick run from a killer, you're actually hunting down clues and searching rooms and stuff.

I've never played them, but they look nerve-wracking just from watching them. emo I like horror games but I'm not fearless.

I love them! I just wish they was on a blue-ray disk to play in ps3 so i dont have to reconnect the ps2 to play them. Have anyone played 4? I've heard its only for the wii tho.
