"Faith is my shield, and hope is my armor; I am vulnerable only to myself."
Gender: Female
Race: Draenei
Class: Paladin
Spec: Holy (healer)

Height: 7'1"
Hair: Silver-White
Eye Colour: Glowing Light Blue
Skin Colour: Light Blue
Build: Slightly Toned (40" bust)

Appearance: [Character Reference Sheet] Compared to all of their allies, Draenei are tall and very out of place in appearance. From the horns on the females' heads, to the tentacles on the males' faces, down to the tail and cloven hooves, one would mistake them for being part of the Burning Legion or more at home with the Horde.

Draenei come in many unique shades of blue and purple with different horn styles, tentacles on faces, or even no tentacles at all. Female Draenei have two rings around their tails, one at the base and another further down. Female Draenei even have two rings on each of their ear tentacles (four tentacles total).

Aelela has layered shoulder length Silver-White hair that's parted on the right side. Her horns are horizontal as they curl away from her head and curl upwards. Her hooves are a darker blue compared to her skin tone. She even has what appears to be an arrow in the middle of her forehead with a heart-like dot or spade below it.

Clothing Style: Because raiding involves a lot of gear replacement, there isn't ONE look that a character can have. If you don't want to play with gear design, you're welcome to use the civilian clothing in the Clothing Reference Sheet. The type of gear paladins want to focus on having is plate.

Weapon of Choice: Paladins can use an assortment of one-handed and two-handed weapons. There are only a few weapons they cannot use: Staves, daggers, wands, guns, bows, and throwing weapons. Paladins can also use shields, as pictured to the right. All holy paladin weapons will glow with a white light based on how deep their faith goes and typically carry a shield.

Powers:
  • Divine Light - A large heal that heals a friendly target for 11100 to 12366. Good for periods of heavy damage. The animation for Divine Light is a swirling ball of light that radiates down from the paladins' forearms. The draenei animation makes it appear as if the light is difficult to control. When it's casted on a target, they are envelope in radiance with sparkles raining down (link).
  • Flash of Light - A quick, expensive heal that heals a friendly target for 6907 to 7749. The animation for Flash of Light is similar to Divine Light. The target animation is similar to Divine Light.
  • Holy Light - Heals a friendly target for 4163 to 4637. The animation for Holy Light is similar to Divine Light. The target animation is similar to Divine Light.
  • Holy Radiance - Heals all friendly targets within 0 yards for up to 683 every sec, with effectiveness diminishing on targets farther than 8 yards away and for each additional player target beyond 6. Lasts 10 sec. The animation for Holy Radiance is a final arms outspread cast and the caster's body has a ball of light at its center that radiates out. There is even a sound file that makes the caster think of Tinker Bell. Any nearby players will receive their own ball of light inside themselves as well. (link)
  • Holy Shock - Blasts the target with Holy energy, causing 1296 to 1402 Holy damage to an enemy, or 2401 to 2599 healing to an ally. There is not animation for Holy Shock since it's an instance cast. However, if a paladin gets Infusion of Light, a yellow clock will appear over the paladin's head allowing them to cast an instant Flash of Light. The target animation is similar to Flash of Light.
  • Lay on Hands - Heals a friendly target for an amount equal to the Paladin's maximum health. If used on self, the Paladin cannot be targeted by Divine Shield or Hand of Protection for 2 min. This is another instant cast. The target animation is similar to Flash of Light.
  • Light of Dawn - Consumes all Holy Power to send a wave of healing energy before you, healing up to 5 of the most injured targets in your party or raid within a 30 yard frontal cone for 1009 to 1123 per charge of Holy Power. This is an instant cast where the healer is pointing their hands outwards in front of them. A beam of light will appear to spread out from their hands as a cone heal. (link)
  • Word of Glory - Consumes all Holy Power to heal a friendly target for 2018 to 2248 per charge of Holy Power. This is another instant cast.

  • Beacon of Light - The target becomes a Beacon of Light to all members of your party or raid within a 60 yard radius. Each heal you cast on party or raid members will also heal the Beacon for 50% of the amount healed. Only one target can be the Beacon of Light at a time. Lasts 5 min. A circle will form under the target and a pillar of light will shoot upward.

  • Divine Plea - You gain 10% of your total mana over 15 sec, but the amount healed by your healing spells is reduced by 50%. A blue runic circle will appear under the paladin with a crown over their heads that spins all of 3 seconds.
  • Divine Favor - Increases your spell casting haste by 20% and spell critical chance by 20% for 20 sec. Same animation as Divine Plea.

  • Avenging Wrath - Increases all damage and healing caused by 20% for 20 sec. A yellow runic circle will appear at the paladin's feet, light will spew out from the paladin, and wings made of light will appear on the paladin's back. The wings will be present for 20 seconds.

  • Divine Shield - Protects the paladin from all damage and spells for 8 sec, but reduces all damage you deal by 50%. Once protected, the target cannot be targeted by Divine Shield or Hand of Protection again for 2 min. Referred to as the Pally Bubble. It's a circle of light that protects the paladin--can sometimes appear pink-ish (I don't know why).

  • Redemption - Brings a dead ally back to life with 35% of maximum health and mana. Cannot be cast when in combat. A pillar of light will shoot up around the fallen target's body.

  • Gift of the Naaru (Racial) - Heals the target for 50 over 15 sec. The amount healed is increased by your attack power. The symbol of the Naaru in a blue glow will appear at the center of the draenei's forehead.
