It hadn't taken very long for Zak to figure out which person, exactly, this vial was calling to. It was loud enough, after all. Almost as if it was doubled, though he paid very little attention to that as he set up the summoning circle, inscribing the name of one Tabitha Bansky in the center of it.
Just to be dramatic, he sat down in his armchair opposite the center of the circle, before summoning his magic and activating it. It flared to life with a blindingly green energy, the distinct scent of something burning filling the room. A terrible side effect, really, and he COULD fix it, but one more thing to catch people off guard never did any harm. Some didn't react particularly well to being ripped out of whatever it was they did in their mundane, daily lives, and the longer he had to prepare for what very well could be a coming assault, the better.

Tabitha, completely oblivious to what she was about to be subjected to, was busy with a very, very, important task. Everything counted on this one significant action. Everything else faded from her focus, her eyes locked on the screen. What task could be so important? So life-altering? That's right: Portal. The girl was completely absorbed in her game; she was going to beat it in one sitting, dammit! She barely noticed as her surroundings changed, the bed beneath her replaced by floor. Even the smell of something burning burning didn't seem to phase her at her first.
Wait, burning? The girl lifted her labtop, looking at it. No...it didn't seem to be that. Her eyes now torn away from the screen, she now had time to notice that hey, she wasn't in her room any more. Wait. She wasn't in her room. Her eyes rose, looking at the guy in the chair. Just how long had she been here? "Um..." Well, this wasn't awkward at all, was it? "Hi?" Wait, that wasn't a question, Tabitha, you dope. Well, so much for her one-sitting play-through of Portal. Damn.

Upon seeing that he was not, in fact, going to be attacked or otherwise assaulted, Zak relaxed, eyeing the girl who had been brought into his study. It had taken her a while to realize she was elsewhere. Was she really so dense? Or, simply just distracted. Regardless, he frowned at her, rolling the vial along his knuckles and leaned back in his chair.
"Good day, Tabitha." He said cooly, smiling ever so slightly at her. "Pardon the interruption," He stopped rolling it, and caught it between two fingers, holding it up and out so she could see it. "But I do believe this is yours."
Whether she agreed or not, it was. This was just how Zak and Nigel's assholery worked.

Tabitha peered up at the man a moment before pushing herself up to her feet, her laptop left on the floor where she'd been sitting. Eyes glanced around a moment at her new surroundings before falling onto the vial the other blonde held. Hmm.... had she lost a vial? She couldn't quite remember. The girl stepped closer, peering at the vial a moment, looking for any hint of familiarity.
"I'm sorry, but that I don't think that's mine." she said, giving a shake of her head. "I think you have the wrong person...can I go home now?" She didn't mean to come off as rude, but...but....but Portal, dammit! She was in the middle of a game! And, clearly, the vial wasn't hers, so she had no reason to stay there. And that was that.

"..No." Zak frowned at the girl, his gaze hardening into a glare. "No, I don't have the wrong person. And if I did, you wouldn't be able to go home..." He looked over at the vial, smirked, then looked back at her. "It's in your best interest to take the vial, girl." He said to her, tossing it up and catching it between two fingers. "Or you won't be going many places ever again."
He had to wonder what was on the damn computer that was so ******** important, though. Not that he couldn't understand her aversion to taking a strange vial from a strange man. Personally, he would have been trying to find a way out of this place. Or he'd have taken it, then tossed it at his first opportunity. Either way, he wouldn't have taken it either. But, she wasn't him, and he wasn't going to allow for any disobedience.

Tabitha's eyes narrowed into brown slits as his words. That....that sounded an awful lot like a threat to her. "Sir, that -isn't- my vial, I haven't lost any sort of vials, and I'm going home." And she dared him, just DARED him to try and stop her! She wasn't sure what'd she'd do if he did...but she'd do something, just watch her! She bent down, scooping her laptop up and stealing a quick glance at her screen; yep, still paused. She glanced around, eyes searching for an exit or something akin to one.
