Hey, I'm Jack, born and raised in the good old U.S. of A. (Much to my dismay at times.)
Interests include fencing, archery, ranting about various subjects, pulling my hair out over exactly how expensive my fencing gear is, reading, a bit of writing, BS philosophy, wearing intimidating coats and frightening small children
My random knowledge base includes: Basics of Biology, physiology, anthropology, psychology, philosophy, medieval warfare and tactics, history, fringe science, zombie survival and evasion (both fast and slow varieties), and more than enough mythology.
Musical tastes: Electronic, Folk, Classical, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Ska, some rap and country, 'Alternative' whatever that really means, and Tom Waits. Yes, Pandora and iTunes hate me.
Books: Anything on paper and preferably in English. Particularly anything by Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Issac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke or Jim Butcher. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for a proper noir tale as well.
Favorite Comic Book Hero: Toss up between the Goon and Hellboy.
That should cover most of it.

Hiya, Everyone!
I'm Rikku, I am actually a best friend in real life to the owner of this guild. Her and I have been Role playing and Drawing for a while now. She taught me everything I know about Role playing and drawing. Although she is way better at both. lol. Hands down. The student has yet to surpass the teacher, and I don't think I ever will. LOL.
I am actually an easy person to get along with, I don't get offended easily, just don't insult people for no reason, and I won't become a b*tch. Then we are all good.
I love reading, writing, music, drawing, and I am just getting good at photography. I am on the computer a lot, so feel free to chat with me. Hey even ask to role play. It doesn't bother me at all.

Well you both used hey and hiya (though honestly I wasn't planning on using that last one lol) I'll stick with my usual introduction.
Yo. I'm Liia. What's up.
I have several interests and hobbies, so I'll list them all category style?
Sports: I play rec. soccer. It's the bomb. I love watching soccer, football when the game is good, basketball is okay, baseball, I have to admit, not that interesting. I do track and cross country as well, and I've always wanted to take a defense class. Maybe some day I will?
Academics: I'm studying to go into film, taking a drama class, I've joined a sketch comedy club which is pretty sweet, and am about to begin hiring actors for an assignment, sweet stuff there. I love astronomy, particularly astrobiology. If I was good at math, I'd probably be going into that as well. I take math every year though, and am improving. Probably, lol. History is a big favorite of mine, especially ancient, etc. I've always been good at writing, having written stories, screenplay at the extremely noobish level. Working on that.
Everything else: My favorite superhero is the fourth Flash, Wally West. He is and always will be the best speedster there ever was. I have a tad bit on an addiction to Gaia, and I'll quit before the end of my college escapade, so I have around 2-3 years left here. But this place really helps with creativity and imagery, which is fairly important in what I do, so who knows. I was in a punkrock band for four and a half years. We split for the big C, and now I'm lazily looking around for people to jam with. Very. Very lazily. I draw, a friend and me are working on creating a web comic with an insanely amazing plot, and I watch Smallville, Merlin, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Stargate Atlantis, What I Like About You, FMA on the rare occasion because Vic Mignogna is fantastic, and seeeveral other tv series. Yeeup.

I'm Amanda. smile Senior in high school, '11! I'm 17th in my class of 616 people. I live in Texas. And I've never owned a pair of cowboy boots.
I love colorguard. To anyone who has never heard of it, shame on you, first of all, and second of all, look it up. Don't look at the crappy ones though. Lol. I love watching DCI and WGI videos - some of the shows are so perfect and powerful that they'll make you cry. It's really an inspiration. smile
Colorguard has also made me addicted to dancing... be it the pretty modern dance we do as a part of guard or silly white girl dancing. I love it. It's expression, it's fun, it's me.
I listen to all kinds of music, as long as it has a good beat. Favorites are: Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Lady Gaga, Snow Patrol, and others.
I'm horribly addicted to Mythbusters. I've seen every episode available on Netflix multiple times. But it's amazing.

Salutations everyone! I'm iKill Flamingos! Or Tayler, but feel free to call me any creative nickname you so desire, unless of course it's insulting to me. Don't insult me please!
I''ve recently graduated high school and am now starting new college adventures. I'm a Pre-Vet Major at the moment, and I'm hoping to keep it that way.
I work two jobs, one at a family entertainment center, the other at an Applebees resteraunt. I hope to end one of those jobs with a zoo internship very soon.
As for entertaining myself, I crochet, play video games (currently working on Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Kirby: Th Crystal Shards. Why Kirby? Because I am five years old at heart.) I also listen to a great deal of music. Some artists I currently am listening to right now are Janis Joplin, Florence and the Machine, Mumford and Sons, Cage the Elephant, Jimmy Hendrix, The Beatles, Lady Gaga, Benny Benassi, Jefree Star, Rise Against, and yeah..the list goes on and on. I also like tv, even if I rarely get to watch it. I watch a lot of Adult Swim shows, because as I stated earlier I'm five and find them hilarious. Metalocalypse, Family Guy, and The Boondocks are my favorites. I also watch a lot of Scrubs, Dexter, and old cartoons like Powerpuff Girls, Dexters Lab, Johnny Bravo....stuff like that.
Anyway...if you need to know anything else, just ask. I don't bite...hard.

Hi everyone,
I, like most people here, am a college student (gasp shock). Where am I? I'll give you a hint -- "WE ARE...."
My interests are geography, anthropology, and classics. I hope to become a famous Etruscologist some day, posing some revolutionary new theory using Etruscan art and archaeology. Who are the Etruscans, you ask? These amazing people came before the Romans. Aside from their beautiful art and famous tombs, the Etruscans were a nation of cities who failed to unite. Despite possessing superior wealth and military power, fell victim to powerful rivals in the Mediterranean -- the Romans, the sea-faring Greeks, and the Gauls. As the cities are conquered, Etruscan art shows a transition from peaceful perceptions of death and the underworld to "gloom and doom" scenes of bloodshed and despair. The art really resonates with me, and I wonder if the path the Etruscans traveled could possibly be shared by us if we continue to stratify and isolate ourselves.
Despite all the time I spend on Gaia, I take my academics very seriously, and overload on credits every semester. I am proud that I have done as well as I have, but there's room for improvement. My Latin is poor -- I've only reached second semester level -- and I have yet to take Greek. I need mastery in both languages to enter graduate programs in the classics. Please feel free to ask me questions about Rome and Etruria, should you ever have any. As you probably can tell from reading this post, I really enjoy talking about it.
In the past I have been a tutor for remedial college math and English, and worked customer service at electronics stores. Currently, I am a teaching intern for an intro-level Geography course, but it's not a paid position, and I am hoping to get a paying job tutoring other courses. I don't have a life outside of school, and my only real hobby is RPing or reading books. Hoping to change that by cutting back on Gaia and joining a few school clubs, but I'm 23 and have more in common with the grad students than the undergraduates. I am in a long term relationship, for example, and I don't care about partying anymore.
Oh yeah, in the past I used to play a lot of RPGs and watch good TV series like Mad Men and Rome, but right now I don't have time for that. If you're a fan of Legacy of Kain, drop me a line.
That's really all there is to know about me.
