In short though, you are required to choose a patron god for your Wish, now along with what your guardian's wish is. It can be any god, real or made-up by you. You cannot, however, choose an overly powerful god such as Zeus or the like. Staff will let you know if your god is acceptable or not.
Also, your Wish contains the essence of his/her patron god. In other words, they'll have some attributes of that god and their powers will be influenced by that god as well. However, they do not have the memories of their patron god. They are completely their own person. Think of them as the child of their patron god if that makes more sense.

All owners are required to post up a new quest of sorts and explain how their past character will fit into the new plot as well as who their patron god is.
Feel free to change your guardian, the name of your Wish and whatever your initial wish was. It doesn't matter if your previous wish was custom or FS gained.
All journals are located in the archives now and everyone will be required to make a new one.
