Some time passed as things were put back in order at the hospital. As Laurette had recuperated and dressed again, Gregory had other affairs to attend to; specifically, there were several vampires in need of anti-UV gel, and a significant quantity of burn victims, as usual. However, burns weren't such a problem for the undead, merely an annoyance. Fortunately, the timeless are often well-endowed with resources aplenty, and many times have a very thin patience for discomfort; Gregory made out like a bandit in the moments between his absence and Laurette's preparations. However, Gregory still felt the need to purge himself of the scum of the day, so he decided to pamper himself a bit. Taking a moment away from the schedule, he made his way into his private office; there was odd-looking booth that he kept for just this sort of occasion. It was a rather astonishing little thing, a chemical shower designed for quick, but effective cleaning. He stepped into it quickly, clothes and all, and pressed the button on the opposite side. A soft hiss filled the air as a thin mist of the stuff descended, gently cleansing the grime from his body and the sweat from his clothes. He gritted his teeth; it burned a bit, as the chemicals reacted with the day's debris, but it was worth it for the sake of expedience. The shower concluded in a few seconds, and he stepped back out, sizzling. He brushed the remnants off his body, his flesh an angry red, and slapped his arms and face, flushing the blood flow back to it. The redness subsided quickly, but the pain still tingled for a bit.
Taking a seat at his desk, he glanced at the row of monitors that line a wall; his lips pulled downward a bit as he spotted Laurette departing the front doors.
Hunh... leaving without even a goodbye? Sad face from Gregory!
He got to his feet, and walked quickly out and towards the front door; he'd already decided that he was going with her, and he planned to stick with that plan. The pneumatic doors opened with a smooth and silent motion, and in a minute he was at her side again, as though he'd never left. He grinned, but didn't turn his head.
"Didn't think you'd be getting rid of me that easily, did ya?"
