Do recent purchases of concert tickets count? ninja
If so tonight I went to a program of entirely Mozart played very well by an Irish orchestra and soloists. There was a Horn Concerto, a bassoon Concerto (possibly in Bb? I've misplaced the program) and the Flute Concerto in D in the first half. In the second half four soloists got together and performed the Sinfonia Concertant for horn, clarinet, oboe and bassoon. It was quite delightful. The flute was Edward Beckett and the clarinettist John Finucan, both of whom are quite well known in Dublin.
Oddly enough, though, the two best soloists were the oboe and bassoon, both of whom I've never heard of before. They had great dexterity and seemed to have quite a lot of fun with the pieces. The bane of Mozart is performers who take him too seriously. Overall it was a lovely evening.

The latest musical purchase I've made was a chunk of rosin and some orchestral polish. xD I can't recall the last CD I bought.

I bought Purcell's "The Fairy Queen" both on cd (with Lorriane Hunt Leiberson singing the soprano stuff) and in full score. It was for a research project for my early music history class. I have to say, I really enjoyed the music. I tend to walk around humming the tunes.
