Hamsters

Hamsters are one of the oldest familiars in the land of Limonium. They are also very popular among the ferrets due to their small size, making them more 'pet' like. Hamsters are playful little critters but can be very territorial against other hamsters. They come in two coat types, short and long.

Rabbits

The Rabbit familiars are friendly and are also very popular among the ferrets. Though their sizes can vary from small to large, the smaller types are more popular but there are friends who bond with larger rabbits. Some ferrets however like to make clothing out of the rabbits coats because the fur is so soft.

Birds

Bird familiars, like rabbits, can vary in size. Only the birds have a wider variety of shapes and sizes. The most common birds are small, finch type birds. But some birds are large enough that small ferrets can ride, though the majority can't handle the weight of anything beyond a baby. The temperments of birds vary depending on the type of bird.

Turtles

The Turtle breed tends to be rather solitary, and not the best familiar for an active ferret. They tend to be slow moving, and are happy munching on vegetation. The turtles live longer then the average familiar. They usually have a good temperament, and if you don't mind a slow pace, can be a hoot to ride!

Dragons

By far the rarest familiars in all of Limonium, the dragons are magnificent and difficult to bond with. Dragons are very willful and solitary, and dangerous to appraoch. Though these are mini dragons and are far smaller then the typical dragon, to a ferret they are still quite large no matter how small they are. But for the ferret lucky enough to bond with a dragon, they have a powerful ally and protector.
