Due to the fact that this is the first new post since September, and the fact the the Guild was mostly dead for about a month before then, I am looking at shutting it down. What I want to know is if you guys would be interested at all in continuing it as just another writing guild. Sort of keep the challenge as it is, but cut out the Twilight bits. Use it as a place out side of the writer's forum to talk about your current projects or something.

Please respond, I don't want to just shut it down without hearing some opinions.

Keep it as a litterateur critique guild.

I've been so busy as of late that I haven't even been able to focus on my writing, much less even post here.

I say we make it a role-play guild (Oh lawd). On a serious note, I'd say just keep it open. It's not like it costs anything to run the guild, right?

Oh, and change the name. Twilight isn't even funny anymore. I just want it to die and be forgotten. gonk

I am suddenly reminded of the "roasts" they do of some celebrities. Something like that?

Keep it as a litterateur critique guild.
Critique, parody, and writing for the lulz.

I've had to set aside time on the weekends to write, so I know what you mean.

Not that I know of it doesn't. I'd lose the start-up cost if I closed it.

We could go with cicil0ve's idea and just call it "UHMAZING BUKS" or something to that effect.

So, if anyone's still out there, I'm going to use this guild in connection to my blog. Post reviews, see if I can work up some giveaways, and mock the hell out of some really bad fiction. You guys up for that?

I'm writing a book...Definitely better than Twilight even if it's not top quality.

That's not really the point of the guild. Our original purpose was to be a nanowrimo kind of challenge specifically for supernatural fiction. The idea now is kind of up in the air, but we're probably either going to aim at hillariously bad books and I'll try to use it in conjunction with my blog to actually review them rather than just mocking them, or it'll become a combination of what it was supposed to be but with the addition of bad writing mockery.

That said, if you ever finish your book, I would be willing to review it provided that you could convince your publisher to send me a copy. It might or might not show up here for whatever reason.

I understand. Overall I think twilight had some good points. It brought the craze into paranormal and I like that. Because that meant better writers focused on that genre ending in more for me to read. The series itself doesn't cut being the most known vampire series for YA. It's a little disappointing to see girls gush about it when there are many better stories out there. Now as for that other book you guys mentioned earlier..I have never even heard of her. Is she an internet joke?
Do you have an ebook reader of some sort? I can add you to the review list but printed copies are limited.

I can agree with the part about getting more authors into YA paranormal, but as to just Twilight itself I would have preferred that Meyer work more on it before trying to get it published.

I have a kindle, and there's an email account under the "Contact" section of my blog that your publisher can contact me through.
