Shadows were creeping over the land slowly, seemingly consuming every ray of golden light that they could find. They formed in the darkest corners of the woods - under leaves, beneath rocks, even in the etched crevices of the trees bark; and as the sun began to set they burst forth from their hiding spots to conquer the world. Some nights they were safe and victorious; no light lingered in the sky to disturb their activities. But tonight was not one of those nights. Silver beams poured over the world, causing the shadows to sway and dance to evade the moonlights deadly touch.
Zul'brin much enjoyed the moonlight, and in fact she was more and more each day beginning to prefer it over the harsh beams from the sun. It was in the soft and silvery glow of the moon, after all, that Brin was able to fish best.
A soft giggle escaped Brin as her golden blades flashed beneath the lakes surface. They served her purpose in the darkness, but in the moonlight they seemed to be more effective. She didnt know if it was due to the fish being more attracted to something shiny or what, but she was grateful none the less. She was a bit on edge here as she fished, her wings flared and wing-eyes gazing about cautiously; she was not in her usual fishing spot. A new area meant new fish to taste, but it also meant she knew not of the surrounding area. She had never had much trouble in her life, most chose to leave her alone do to her size and looks; but one could never bee too careful.
Spotting movement deep beneath the surface Brin took a soft step into the water, letting her tail float further out beneath the glass like surface. It was about time she saw movement, for a moment she was beginning to think there wasnt a single fish in this pool.
