I heard there was a method using egg shells that are rinsed and ground up after it dries. The shell is made out of calcium which helps the soil once you add it in to a pot.

Hello! Have you considered using a Bokashi Bucket? You can buy 'em or make 'em--they're a way of composting indoors using microorganisms, so it doesn't smell or draw flies, and the soil you get out of it is quite rich. One would use food scraps, mainly, so it's really useful if you or someone in your house cooks alot 3nodding
