on a univeristy of western philosiphy exam there was a question, in fact there was only one question on this exam and it was worth the intirity of the mark, the question was as follows
Why ?

Why? Well, the answer is simple. Because we're human. Everything we do could be dictated by our nature. Become a shoulder to cry on for a friend? Our greed tells us to do that so we don't end up abandoned and bored. Give change to beggar? Our pride tells us that we can hold ourselves higher then them, say 'We are better then you.' In the end, humans are commanded by sin.
