Mio damn near startles out of his suit at the unexpected question. He hadn't even noticed Aleron drop back by him. "ER...yeah, they are," he answers after a moment's pause to catch his breath once more, "I'm assuming that they went to Life Support and Hydroponics, but there does seem to be rather more than should be needed, even in a facility this size..."

Aleron blinked in surprise. "Whoh, Sorry Mio. Still jumpy, hm?" he asked, his voice quieter. Mace had come up and walked on the other side of him silently, watching him. "Yeah, it does. Think it's worth checking out at some point?"

"Yeah...jumpy..." Mio confirms, letting out a drawn out breath as he calms himself down, "I do think it s worth checking out. The more I look at these records, the more I'm thinking that someone here was acting independently of any orders from the G.R.S...."

Aurora listens in on the conversation just a bit, but is mostly focusing on where they were going and on paying attention to their surroundings.

Miya continued walking with the group, sensitive ears picking up on the conversation between Mio and Aleron. "Hm...so this is why they told us never to do unsupervised lab experiments in high school," she muttered quietly, chuckling slightly at her own joking comment.

It seemed that, for the moment, the station was going to leave the group alone, so long as they kept quiet. They would indeed arrive at the medical bay that Gin had been using as a haven from the hell the station had become. However, their earlier firefight had caused a slight power surge ti run through the area... _______________________ In the cold sleep room in the small medical bay, the power surge disrupted one of the tubes, initiating the wake-up sequence. The steady green light would change to blinking an alternating blue and yellow. When the process was complete, the lid of the tube would release with a slight hiss and raise up, letting the inhabitant climb out... (All set, Raiden)

Haze filled the eyes of the soldier. Disorientation set in momentarily until he was able to get his bearings. So much white filled his eyes that he wasn't sure if they were open or closed. A moment later the nanomachines in his blood stabilized his body. Very slowly he raised himself out of the tube letting his breath get used to the oxygen inside the station. "I forgot what it felt like to be a TV dinner," he ached out while removing several wires from his blue plugsuit. It only took seconds for him to realize that he was the only one coming out of cryosleep. None of his squadmates had survived the process due to the shattered glass of their tubes. More than likely from hard handling in the spacial environment. "My friends....." Gently he got to his feet and took slow steps to the tubes of his team, putting a hand one of the shards of busted glass that housed his dead comrades. "Wilkerson, Drox, Spike. I'm sorry guys. You all deserved a hero's death. Not this."
The time for mourning would have to come later. Now he needed to figure out where he was and the mission at hand. A finger found the comm on the bulkhead. "This is Master Chief Petty Officer Armstrong to whoever might be around. Requesting assistance. Please respond."

((*face-palm* I forgot to mention that the tubes in this particular freezer are all intact, Raiden. However, I suppose I can work with the details...))
The tubes that had formerly held Armstrong's comrades were, in fact, empty. Their bodies were actually being stored in some of the other tubes, a precaution by Gin to keep them from becoming one of the horrors wandering the station now.
Mio would jump again as Armstrong's voice rings out over the station intercom. Tail completely poofed-up inside his suit, he shakily finds out where the origin of the message had come from. "P-patching you through, Cap'n..." he informs Aurora, letting her handle speaking with the person who might just have agitated the...the things on the station. It was a minor override to the intercom from the cold-sleep bay to their particular frequency of their com system.

Aurora jumps at the voice over the intercom, as well. "We read you, CPO Armstrong. This is 1st Lieutenant Aurora Engedde. What's your position?"

Aleron nodded. "Sounds great. I can't wait to see what a facility like this might have down the-" he started, until the intercom went off. He jumped a bit and Mace growled, both looking up and around. "Bugger me..! Another one woke up..?? I wish there was a way we could get them NOT to use the intercom...!" he said in a harsh but quieter tone, looking around at the vents in case something moved.
