Yes. It may be an invention made in 1989, but for all intents and purposes, it was a 90's game console. It made games from 1989 to 1996. That to me shows it's importance. It created many games. Hundreds actually. Sonic being the most popular, but there were games like Primal Rage and so forth. What did you like about the Genesis?

The genesis was a great system with many good games. However its fanbase was destroyed when the N64 came out (which to this day is my favorite system). If i remember right the genesis has some amazing TMNT games.

sadly im a SNES boy, nntendo titles are better then segas, i liked sonic though but one series isnt enough

Playstation did kill the console but its good they haven't stopped developing games.
