There’s no place like home! No place like home is right. But this is no home, this is the street. A purgatory for those unlucky few who live there. Ok not all sleep in the gutters or in alleyways but none have real homes. Most find shelter to rest their weary bodies under bridges or in abandoned buildings. It’s not the best living situation for any of them since nothing is heated if it’s abandoned or outside obviously. Most wish they could go home but are not welcome, have no home to go back to, or they know that they would end up right back here. The streets are not as pleasant as movies make them seem, but these people are survivalists and often depend on each other. They may not like everyone else, but when all you’ve got are a few clothes, little food, and no money you stick with who you’ve got. The rules of the street are essentially share, because one day you might be on track for success and the next have nothing. Most of the food they eat is stolen, the clothes they wear are almost in tatters with only one or two changes, and any money they get is pick-pocketed or found. They will do anything to survive, and that is sometimes the problem, some of them go too far. Most are aware of the half way houses around the city and they know about life center, but most are also aware of how under-funded and under-staffed they are, but will desperation bring them around?
