elaise groaned as she slowly woke up and looked around her. " what happened?" she murmered to herself. she cried out when she tired to reach out to the others and couldn't.

"You're in a secure facility, Elaise; I admit, it was surprising to find that your friends, if that's what they were, discovered the outpost so soon," Stryker said dryly. He brushed one finger near the metallic headband that restrained her powers. "Who was the boy that assisted your doppleganger?" he said with faint amusement. A thread of annoyance trickled behind the amusement, however. "And do not think he managed to get away; some of my men were able to capture him," he said quietly.

elaise shuddered as he touched the headband, before her eyes widened at the mention of richard being captured." if you have him please let me see him. i'l do anything." she said softly.

"Perhaps, if you're good," Stryker said, cool and unimpressed. He heard a curse before a thud sounded on the other side of the door. He cracked it before he heard a pissed off voice. "You idiots don't know what you're screwing with... and if you hurt Elaise... I'm going to show you just how cold winter can be as I freeze you damned hearts in your chests!!" Richard snarled, twisting as he flung the guard off his forearm, slamming him headfirst into the door, knocking it open wider. Stryker didn't look very impressed. "All of you are idiots if you can't hold a stupid fool who thought he could sneak into this base," he said coldly. Richard wore the same headband as Elaise, though it didn't seem to restrain him as much. He noticed Elaise and knew he surprised her by winking at her. "Says the man who doesn't have enough balls to try doing....oh, something like asking us for some help," he said acidly. Stryker sighed. "Your kind never offers anything, therefore we must take it," he spat bitterly.

" richard." elaise murmered watching him before turning back to look at stryker. " let him go. i'l give you as much as you want." she said she could feel her power building inside her as she headed for another overload, at the same time the restraining headband was working against it sending pain coursing through her body.

Richard let himself sag, in what he was sure Stryker would assume was hopeless defeat. A momentary smile flitted over his lips before he dropped to his knees, wrenching his arms up as the soldiers grabbed at them, only to be slammed head-to-head with a brutal crack. Stryker spun, only to be hit by one of his incapacitating 'ice balls' that encased him in ice. "Word to the wise: Don't underestimate the simple s**t, moron," he said coolly as he tapped the headband around his temples, ice crawling over it rapidly before it shattered. He did the same to Elaise's headband before it cracked. He tapped it between her eyebrows as it gave a brittle snap, shattering into shards of steel. He felt energy surge into him as he drew off the excess energy from Elaise almost immediately, preventing the overload but not drawing so much of it that it knocked her out. I left a clone to direct the others in our direction and gave an indicator to direct them here, so they'll be here any time, he said softly, sure she had one hell of a headache from the headband; he had one himself, but it wasn't too bad.

Elaise winced, it felt like someone was stabbing her in the head with a knife. she looked at richard her arms shaking slightly." let's get out of here." she murmered not wanting to talk telepathically because of her headache.

Richard nodded. "Fortunately I made a point to notice the way in so we can get out quickly..." he said quietly as he gently picked her up bridal style and half walked half jogged toward the exit.

elaise nodded slightly and closed her eyes, hearing mina in her head she opened them again and looked at him " mina's nearby, she sensed me when you broke the headband. she'l teleport us back." she said softly relaying mina's message.mina appeared infront of them, without saying anything she grabbed richards hand and dissappeared taking them both with her.

Stryker cursed as the duo fled the compound. He strained his muscles, managing to crack the ice; his second attempt shattered it. "Find them!!" he shouted.

" i don't think you will." said a female voice from the shadows, moving forwards mina stood infront of stryker " i should kill you right now for what you did to those kids. however i am not like you." she raised her hand as she spoke holding up a necklace. she muttered under her breath, her eyes never leaving his face. elaise, richard tell logan i'm sorry. it's the only way he'l leave you alone. she thought to them before dropping the necklace on the floor. " you can have me instead."

Stryker glared at Mina. "I don't care about you; in fact, for the insubordination of what you did... you will die at the hands of one of my newer 'recruits', codenamed Samurai," he said flatly, coldly. He snapped his fingers as a hidden doorway opened, revealing somone in a black body armor similar to a SWAT uniform, but plain and without markings to show who he worked for or what team he was with. His dark gray eyes were flat and cold, empty of emotion. He knew it would stun Mina that Caleb was still alive, though this one was loyal only to him.

" caleb." mina murmered looking at the person in front of her before turning to stryker her eyes blazing " what on earth have you done to him." she shouted moving towards stryker.
Adrian appeared at mina's side and pulled her backwards into the shadows that surrounded him " mina elaise needs you." he whispered in her ear before looking up. " it seems there are two of us you'l have to kill. although you'd have to catch us first."

Stryker smirked at Mina this time. "That's for me to know," he said smugly. He tilted his head fractionally, surprised, when Adrian showed up. He flicked his fingers as the shadow manipulator faded with Mina. 'Samurai' flicked a wrist as a steel blade extended from the heel of his palm before he hurled it with unerring accuracy. The blade shot into the shadows before they faded and he smirked, thinking the blade would hit Adrian in the chest. He didn't realize Caleb was starting to fight his control and had managed to miss just over Adrian's right shoulder, directly between Adrian and Mina.
