Hey, everyone!! whee Here is a poem I wrote about a carnation, which is a flower that looks similar to a rose, but without thorns. It's also about persons who use their beauty to mislead others, because they are vain and/or unable to show empathy. wink
The decaying petals of vain blood
Stain the dead purity
With the spirit of pathogen floods.
A flower born from virgin tears of the blessed and forsaken.
The carnation
Of beautiful damnation.
She murders the divine modesty and ethereal empathy of heaven.
Her deceiving presence poisons its beauty with the sinful macabreness of hell.
The deceptive grandeur of the bloom hides the opprobrious narcissism of the roots.
The heavenly flower brings heaven to its own farewell.
The roots conquer Earth’s heart
With cholera-infected cyanide.
They steal its soul with their oppressive art.
The bloom pollutes the atmosphere
With the seducing scent of false innocence,
Leading the breeze astray and making it cry acidic tears.
From the rain shall be born nuclear hailstones
And from the bittersweet dew, vanity borne nettles bring to existence beauty’s fears.
The carnation
Of deceitful salvation.
With her blood-stained mask of dark magic,
(Darker than the destructive clouds of antimatter, to which creation is allergic),
She will lead the blessed and truly beautiful to perdition.
