We need the sonic type.
We already have tons of moves to become sonic, like how Bite became a dark move, and tons of potentially sonic pokemon! Seen below.
, , , ,
Now Xatu needs an evo, so make it a sonic typed evo! Also, those Lake Guardians used Uproar so effing much, they deserve to be sonic typed.

darkspineshadow2 matadair Well, they can create a sonic Pokemon, but they will probably be sewed. No, they wouldn't. Nothing has rights to Sonic in relation to sound. In fact, nothing can have rights to it, only trademark it to a certain type (ie: Characters, Companies, Beds), which explains why there can be a Sonic Drive-thru and Sonic the Hedgehog without any legal disputes. Oh... by sewed they meant sued?
Who said anything about the hedgehog, I make it clear in the first post that I am speaking of what could be considered an element, sonic... as in sound?

Looks like I made a spelling error. Anyway, the creators of sonic would most likely find out that they made something similar to sonic and probably go after them for copyright infringement or some stupid s**t like that.

Are you serious?! Sonic is not ONLY a hedgehog, sonic is a very common word and you cannot put a copyright on a common word.
That is like trying to put a copyright on the word, "the" Then no one ever again would be allowed to use that word without paying for it.
Having an element of sonic isn't even similar to the hedgehog himself, Sonic the Hedgehog runs at the speed of sound, which is why he is named Sonic. Having an element of sonic is about sound, not running fast.

Having an element of sonic is about sound, not running fast. Then again, you do have a valid point.
