Ari leaned back against Lionel as he directed her out of the room. Though she was trying to hide it, she was still hurt by Karla's reaction. Once they were out of the room she glanced up at Lionel, "Let's hurry please before I feel compelled to run back and apologize for doing nothing wrong." Was is so bad that she wanted to keep her twin safe? Taking the lead she took hold of her love's hand and started pulling him along with her to the galley. The sooner they were gone the better.
Damon nodded as the two left the room then sat back down next to Karla. He sighed as he watched her, unsure if he should say anything. She had to know making Jini leave was one of the better plans. Maybe he shouldn't talk to her about the pale girl. Perhaps something else would be better. "You know with them gone we'll be able to commandeer the galley without anyone interrupting and eat whatever we want." he told her, offering a cheesy toothy smile.

Lionel smiled, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. She was such a loving creature. He was glad he needed him. No, I'm glad she chose me. There's a difference. A wave of guilt washed over him as he remembered the initiation of their Bond. That had been very complicated. Shaking off the dark thoughts that haunted him, he touched the top of Ari's head lightly. "Gladly. Jini, come on. It's time to head out."
Karla glanced at Damon, forcing herself to smile despite the jealous unhapiness that still pervaded her demeanor. "I would like that. Eating sounds lovely." If only things would calm down a bit, then maybe she could get around her own stupid emotions and deal with the real issues.

Ari looked up at Lionel as she felt his touch against her hair and smiled. Once Jini came out of the galley she leaned against the equine, perfectly content with letting him lead their trio. With the male leading it left her free to let her mind wander. Now that they were finally on Lionel's homeworld, Ari's growing concerns were not fading. What if his family didn't like her? What if they were repulsed by the way she looked? From what she had seen of Lionel, his brother and his sister, the Faiana knew she was very different. Hopefully she would be able to keep her worries away from her love.
Damon waited until he heard the airlock close before he turned to Karla and chose to break the silence that had grown. "So now that they are gone, how about we go get that food?" Without waiting for her to answer the Darivian got up and held out his hand for her to take. He was certain she was about as hungry as he, maybe more. With simply knowing that Jini was gone, for even a little while, made Damon feel better. For the first time in a week he felt he could freely walk around the ship.
