Guidelines to Follow When Roleplaying With Hika

Introduction

Hika is sick and tired of people not thinking before they roleplay, so he has made these guidelines that must be followed when roleplaying with Hika.

1. I am not my character, so...

- I will not take it personally if someone hates them or harms them in any way.
- I will not make my character perform an action that he cannot do, even if I could think of it myself.
- I will not lord it over when someone fails to beat my character. Battle is between two characters who may or may not be match-up'd properly.

2. I will not godmod; this includes:

- Auto-hitting (YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TOUCH YOUR OPPONENT IN ANY WAY UNLESS IT IS IN THE FORM OF AN ATTEMPT OR BLOCK. THIS INCLUDES SUPPOSEDLY HARMLESS TOUCHES. This rule is suspended somewhat for normal non-combat rp.)
- Auto-dodging (Dodging without description)
- Metagaming (Using OOC information IC; this includes pulling s**t out of your a** like suddenly having an orb of psionic protection to counter your opponent's powers.)
- Overpowering (Using too many innate powers, too many tranformations, having an invincible character that may or may not have a parochial weakness, etc.)
- Using abilities outside of the T1 Environment. Gaia is a T1 moderate environment.

3. I understand that an attack that is scientifically accurate may not necessarily be fair.

- A fair attack is an attack that has reasonable power for its prep-time. Using science to bypass prep-time is usually not fair unless it is logical for the attack to do so, such as creating a lot of water and then firing an electrical attack.

4. I understand that my mechanics are not the end-all be-all.

- There are many ways for a phenomena to be explained in roleplay. Don't whine about how someone's mechanics is wrong when it could be equally valid as yours.
- On top of that, if your mechanics gives you a significant advantage and can only be used by you or your brethren, those mechanics aren't fair and should be invalid.
- Mechanics can be used by anyone. If you create a mechanic, don't complain if someone decides to use those mechanics on you. Just desserts for those who create mechanics favoring themselves.
