Well, I used to live in a very old house. Built in the late 1800's. The house always gave everyone a bad vibe upon entrance. The feeling was mostly of dread, sadness. Just recently, I asked my mother why I wasn't allowed to sleep in my own room until I was 4 or 5 years old. Her answer was that I seemed to talk to someone that wasn't there. Being a very huge skeptic on paranormal, I dismissed this as an imaginary friend.(though I dont remember having one) Then we always heard the screen door slamming. My father feared a burglar, or a prankster was trying to spook us. Eventually he bought a security system, which would announce through the house that a door was opened. Every night, the machine would go frantic announcing that every door in the house was being opened and closed. We disabled it. Also, every night, all the doors in the house would be opened up in the morning, as if someone had been roaming the house. Finally, something happened that I still can't explain. This happened just last year, btw. It was a late night, playing games by myself, I decided I needed some sleep. I shut the system and T.V down. I began to walk to my room when something caught my eye. I saw a young woman in maid clothes. She didn't seem to notice me at first. She was intent on cleaning an item that was invisable to me. I, being the manly man I am, ran from the room, flipped on the light, and hid under my covers. Yeah, I'm ashamed. Now, my father never listened to me, my brother, or mother about the "hauntings". But, just after New Years of 2010, my dad had an experience. He told me that he was watching tv when a very tall "shadow" was standing in the hallway, he said he could feel intense sorrow, and that it had a "terrifying presence." So... he sold the house, and we live in an apartment now. Nothing has happened since. Moving out was uneventful, as we refused to be in the house after 6. So, what do you think? Was this paranormal, or was it just our imagination?
