~Drive~
Bane examines the two lionesses before him. He thinks to himself if he could really trust them or not. He would have to, because from here on out, it seems like the four are going to have to be a team. At very least, their demeanor is friendly. The other girl introduces herself. Bane nods, though truly having difficulty distinguishing the two twins. He figures that if he does mess up on their names, they won't erupt at him or anything like that. They are twins, after all, and simplicity only shows complexity in this case. Despite all of this confusion, which isn't needed at the time being, Bane glances over to Eric, smirking somewhat lightly.
"Pleasure to meet you two." He turns back to the sisters, Loti and Kira... no wait... Lori and Kita. His smile all but dissipates at his own mistake. "I am Bane. Bane Hannon, engineer, mechanic, and something of a bodyguard..." Again, the lizard watches Eric with a smirk. He could tell the teen is shy about this. He never was outgoing, but then again, neither was Bane. Neither of them had a reason to be outgoing, nor a purpose, nor a point. Any of those things. As seen earlier, Ban'es emotions only manifest around Eric... in loneliness. Now, however, something different was taking place. Bane felt himself staring at the boy, not necessarily in an eerie way, but in a concerned manner. Like always, Bane wants Eric to know that the lizard is his refuge. Living refuge. Of course...
That cannot be said as easily around a magical being. Those are rare. Only 20 years ago, science discovered an entirely new base pair in the DNA sequence of man and furry, only one however. This tiny mutation is colossal-in-effect enough to allow the individual to manipulate astral forces. Though, scientists are still skeptical that the single base pair is the root of magic. There is another force at play here, but no one has taken the time to discover it. One could say that the world's scientists have been a little "tied" as of late.
Bane finally realizes he is daydreaming, and snaps awake at the sound of a feminine growl. That had to be the witch. A quick glance in her direction after Eric had called out shows Bane all he needs to know. He starts with the otter, falling behind so that he could make a quick leap into the van, which he does. He hears the back doors slam shut, and suddenly that triggers him to think that there is something wrong. The lionesses... Aware that Eric already realized this and now sitting at the driver's seat, a twist of the keys ignites the engine. He doesn't take into consideration if Kira and Loti are inside the van, which they probably are at this point... No... it's... Kita and Lori. Bane shakes his head, shifts the van into drive, and steps on the gas, the vehicle dashing off away from the rising sun, leaving the Witch somewhat compelled to stop chasing... Probably the best idea...
After a short time, which everything was at this point, Bane hears the interrogation go on behind him. These moments were fast because Bane had, after all, lived with the otter for three years... alone... And, if it were not for the zombies, it would have been so much nicer. Even with their presence, though, it was still okay. It kept Bane in shape... or even more aggressive with his daily workouts. But along the lines of being used to prolonged amounts of time doing virtually nothing, Bane was a pro. It was extremely difficult to bore him (unless he was just trying to show off)...
Not really plowing through very many zombies, Bane takes the ramp onto the freeway and drive at about 80, seeing as there are no cars. He also wanted the vials to be safe, so he didn't overdo anything.
