The anime Fruits Basket is about a cursed family called the Soumas (dont really know how to spell it).They are cursed by the Zodiac so everytime they are hugged by the opposite sex they turn into one of the eastern zodiac animals. There are four main characters ( i think they're the main characters), Kyo (he turns into a cat), Yuki ( he turns into a mouse), Shigure ( he turns into a dog), and last but not least, Tohru ( ordinary and only girl tht knows about their secret, shes not part of the soumas). There are many hardships they had to come over. I highly recommed you to watch it ^^.

I agree with Nicole, and she is correct they are the main characters, while there are other strong supporting characters. One thing about the anime though (like almost all other animes in the world) is that its unfinished. My sister was able to read all of the mangas that are out so far and she said that he goes way further than the anime, so I would recommend reading those. Oh and the manga is still continuing...or so they say. My favorite character is Shigure.

I would suggest you read the manga instead of watching the anime though the anime is good they never did complete it

Konoichi_Succubi what is this anime fruit baskets a bout ive never seen it before fruits basket is about a girl named tohru honda her mother die so tohru livs in a tenet 4 awhile then this boy named yuki and his cousin found tohru so they offered her 2 say with them so tohru livs with them and so on i aint gonna tell u the rest cuz its long but its a good show and story u should look it up on u youtube

i love fruits basket! it would definitely my second fav! the manga is better than the anime. the anime leaves out a lot and adds in stuff that wasnt in the manga. anyway its really good. i would recommend it to anyone!

FRUITS BASKET HAS A NEWER SERIES IT IS ON HULU AND FUNIMATION IF YOU ARE WONDERING THE SOMA'S ARE RELEASED FROM THEIR CUUUURSE CCCCC: i was so happy when i finished it but i also cried a lot during the series its good it follows the manga
