Personality: Sayuri is overall a sweet natured person but tends to be stubborn, naïve, and somewhat opinionated. Like most people she has a temper if pushed too far and tends to use her magic skills to attempt to prove her point or get even. She can be very childish during arguments and usually ties to avoid confrontation. When she gets overly emotional her magic skills tend to go a little haywire.

History: Sayuri was born in Osaka, Japan 20 years ago to a poor farming family. Her father owned a small rice farm where he and her two older brothers would work from sunrise to sunset while her and her mother would clean and cook at home. In her 5th year of life a horrible dry spell hit their region of Japan that caused the majority of their farm to dry up. They struggled to feed themselves for months until the family was forced to abandon the farm and move into the city to find work. Unfortunately a few months later her mother became ill and died. Her father then sold her to a maid service to make money. She was taken to a monastery to work as a handmaiden and maid. Sayuri worked there until she was 10 when she accidentally knocked over a candle and set the monasteries alter a blaze.
She was then taken in by an old woman who ran a shop that sold tarot cards etc. The old woman took a liking to her and taught her basic magical skills to assist her in her daily chores. She worked in the old woman’s’ shop until the age of 18 when the woman passed away. Sayuri was then hired by a customer of the old woman, the wife of a rich businessman. She worked there for a year until the woman’s husband began to take notice of Sayuri. That’s when she was sent here, to The Good Servant Market.
