M u d s k i p p e r X C ɑ b i n xx[Purple & Orange Door // Cabin #5]This cabin will be your home for practically the whole summer. So get used to it! You won't be doing much here other than sleeping (which you won't get much of by the way; the Combusken likes to wake up pretty early). After a couple of days of sleeping in this place, you'll be begging for your plain ol' room back at the Pokemon Center. But it still beats sleeping in the dirt, right? Not that it's much of a step up from that...
The ceilings are built high because of the bunk beds and are only made out of wood. You'd better wish for mild summer nights, because these don't hold cold or heat very well. The cabins are extremely small, considering they have to fit four people. You won't have a table, chairs, or anything blocking your walkway; it's just a square room with two bunk beds and two tiny closets on either side. The bathroom is built into the corner and has a small shower, toilet, and sink. Just be grateful to have warm water most days...and running water in general! xx❤ xϺimi Ӄouүɑmɑ x❤xx Mimi hiked up to the cabins in search of the one she would be living in for the rest of the summer. She'd stopped by the registration board, picked up an itinerary for the summer and located her name under the cabin listings. She'd be bunking in the Mudskipper Cabin all summer. The cabins' doors were all color-coordinated, and the Mudskipper cabin had a purple and orange door. It didn't take too long to find the cabin. When she did, Mimi stopped in front of it and gave it a once-over.
It didn't look like much. It wasn't fancy at all - not exactly what she was used to, but it's difficult to measure up to the mansion in which she grew up in Celadon City. But Mimi didn't mind too much; she was more than used to roughing it after fully-traveling through the Kanto region. She spent plenty of time in a sleeping bag in the middle of a forest or cave on her journey. This was certainly a step up from that. She picked up her suitcase and headed inside.
Inside it was just as bleak. Not much room for anything. Mimi didn't really feel like unpacking right that second, so she placed her suitcase on the floor near the door and plopped down on the bottom bunk of one of the beds. As she stared at the wooden underside of the bunk above her, she let her thoughts wander.
She was alone for the first time since she'd first started her Pokemon journey back in Kanto. Early on in her journey, she'd met up with two boys who'd quickly become like older brothers to her. They were always looking out for her and she'd grown to rely on their constant presence. But Mimi knew that if she really wanted to become a great trainer, she'd need to learn to take care of herself as well. So, after they'd completed the Kanto region, they'd agreed to spend some time apart. Mimi was about to head off to Johto for another Pokemon journey, when her mother called about a summer camp in a new region. It was bound to be a lot of fun and it would definitely be a great way to meet new people, so Mimi decided to take the opportunity. And now, here she was. She only hoped this experience would be a pleasant one.

Blair learned from before that she would be in this cabin, and all would be well because it was another girl around her age. She stepped in the Mudskipper cabin and soon saw that same girl she was just wondering about lying on the bunk. She smiled and in the same motion, smoothly tossed her bag on the top bunk above the girl that was to be her roommate, claiming it for herself. Blair waved to her. "Heeyyy~ I'm Blair. You must be Mimi." She actually looked at the girl for the first time. She was blonde, had green eyes, and wore pink clothes. She was pretty cute overall. But Blair was determined she would still be cuter. From what it looked like, she was at most, a couple of years older than Blair, but that wasn't a problem to her. Hopefully it wasn't a problem to her roommate either.
She took a quick look around the room before getting bored; she needed to do something. But she would stay in here for a few more minutes, then go swim in the lake she'd heard so much about or something else productive.

xx❤ xϺimi Ӄouүɑmɑ x❤xx Mimi was interrupted from her thoughts when her roommate entered the cabin. She sat up in bed as the girl approached her, tossing her bag on the bunk above hers. The new girl seemed bright and friendly, and was quick to introduce herself as Blair. Blair apparently already knew her name as well (probably from reading the cabin roster), so there was no need to introduce herself as well. She smiled brightly at the new girl. She was happy to be rooming with someone who seemed so friendly. Mimi hoped they'd get along just fine, especially since it was supposed to just be the two of them in this cabin for now.
"Yup, I am Mimi. It's nice to meet you, Blair," she said, standing up. She figured maybe now was as good a time as any to unpack. "So, are you looking forward to camp this summer?" she asked, grabbing her suitcase and opening it up on top of her bed. She began pulling out the clothes and items and laying them out on the bed. It seemed the only place to store them all was in the two dinky closets. Fortunately, they were equipped with hangers.
"I'm not really used to the camping experience myself, but I am kind of excited. I like trying new things and I'm eager to meet some new people." She was, in fact, all too eager to attend camp this summer. When her mother first mentioned it to her, she didn't hesitate to sign up. The reason being, deep down, she was still kind of nervous about starting a Pokemon journey all on her own. Sure, she'd been through Kanto already, but she didn't really do that on her own. She had Hideki and Aisumaru with her, always looking after her. They had all agreed it was for the best to split up for a while, but separating had left a gaping hole in Mimi's heart. One that, she hoped, a summer at camp could fill and give her the strength to start her journey on her own.

She nodded back and as Mimi started to unpack, Blair thought she should as well. She climbed the ladder to her bunk bed(she would've jumped, but it was too high) to reach for her bag but just ended up falling back on the bed instead of unpacking. She spread out on the small bed and sighed. "Jeez, it's so hot here. I wish I brought a fan... or something!" She groaned and rolled over.
Right now Blair was wearing super short white shorts with a loose bright pink T-shirt. This was mostly what was put into her bag. As well as a couple of flowy dresses to wear when she felt lazy. She was much better of wearing pants though. Whatever length of hair she had was tied into a pony-tail, but she let her bangs just fall how they do. She didn't bother to mess with her hair because it would just get messed up again in an instant. Even with her summer clothes, she was still boiling inside her own body. Where she lived she always had air conditioning wherever she went. During the summer months, sometimes people and businesses put Pokemon outside that blew Icy Winds at people just to make sure they stayed comfortable. Blair regretted it now, for it made her even more intolerant to heat.
After her roommate finished unpacking, she started talking about why she came here. Blair also revealed her reasons for going here. "Oh really? I hope it does help you with your journey." She smiled, although Mimi probably couldn't see it because she was on the bunk underneath Blair. "Myself... I just came by force. My parents tore me from my own journey to come here. I don't know WHY, but they did. If this place wasn't supervised I'd be outta here." She sighed again. "But I guess I probably should enjoy this summer while I'm here." She nodded and sat up quickly on her bed.

xx❤ xϺimi Ӄouүɑmɑ x❤xx "Oh, well...I'm sorry you were forced to come here. I hope you have fun anyway, though. Who knows, maybe you'll actually be happy your parents made you come. You never know what might happen," Mimi said, trying to be encouraging. She'd chose to come herself, so she had high hopes for this place.
"So, you were already on your Johto journey? That's funny...I was about to start my journey in Johto too, before I decided to come here instead. Looks like I won't be starting until the end of the summer now. I've already been through Kanto myself. I left home two years ago, when I was twelve. Took that long to get through Kanto. But I don't think future Pokemon journeys will take quite as long. There's just something about your first one that makes it go slower. Probably because you're inexperienced."
Mimi went over to a smaller, messenger bag that she carried around with her most places she went. She dug inside of it, pulling out what looked like a poke ball. But it wasn't a normal red-and-white one; this was black with shiny gold trim - a luxury ball. On the top, Mimi had marked it with a pink heart sticker.
"Since I've already been through one whole region, I've caught lots of Pokemon. This one here is a good friend of mine that I met later on in my travels." Mimi released the Pokemon inside in a flash of red light and pink heart stickers. Apparently, the sticker on top of the ball was not just for decoration. It was one of those special poke ball stickers trainers often used when they participated in contests.
The light faded and revealed a Blissey, standing almost as high as Mimi's shoulders. Mimi was shorter than most girls, and Blissey were a kind of humanoid Pokemon that stood taller than most other Pokemon (save for the really gi-normous ones). Mimi smiled and introduced her Pokemon to Blair.
"Her name is Elysia. Usually I call her Lissy, though." Lissy flapped its tiny arms and bounced up and down joyfully. It was definitely and overly-happy Pokemon - hence its name.
"So what about you? You said you were in the middle of your journey? Is this your very first Pokemon journey? Were you traveling with anyone? Did you catch any Pokemon of your own?" Mimi asked Blair.

It was a Blissey, one of Blair's favorite Pokemon. "WOW~ It's a Blissey." Blair smiled and jumped down off the bunk to take a closer look. "I love all evolutions of Chansey. They're just so cute and fluffy!" Blair laughed.
"I have only 3 Pokemon myself." Blair said, she stood on her tip-toes to reach her bunk once again, pulling down a bag and revealing 3 Pokeballs. She released the first two, her Meowth and Mareep, but left Magikarp in it's ball because of the pure size of it. It wouldn't enjoy flopping on the wooden boards, either. "This is Vanilla and Amity. This Pokeball has a Magikarp in it, and I don't know why but it's a HUGE Magikarp. His name is Storm." She nodded and sat on the bunk across from Mimi's. Nilly jumped on her lap and curled up, ready for a nap. Blair laughed weakly. She didn't really like having her Pokemon out of their Pokeballs, but maybe she ought to try it every now and then.

 xSparky xhas no post layoutx
Having left the Crocodile Cabin, Sparky made his way across the road to the Mudskipper's lodgings. Realizing his enthusiasm might get the better of him again, he decided to take a more thoughtful approach to the situation this time. Sauntering up to the purple-orange door, Sparky cleared his throat, rapped three times, and then spoke:
"Hello in there, Mudskippers! I'm respecting your privacy by knocking but asserting my authority as Camp Counselor by coming in anyway!" He hoped to Arceus that they weren't changing or anything like that. But with only one male in his entire roster this year, it would probably be a given that something like that would happen eventually. Might as well get it over with now if it did.
