VI. Role-playing/Encounter/Game Over Guide

It's all about literacy. Be real about your imagination when role-playing.
For example, in your post, you want your character to travel to a town/city to another town/city by putting in your post "Red travels from Lavender Town to Viridian City." It makes sense, but your leaving out points on how to get there. Even if you give details, it takes about a paragraph if you want it done in 3 posts (approx. 1000 characters per post) or 1 post if its a really long paragraph (approx. 3000 characters).

Its okay to have one liners. This is if you want to end your situation short as possible, or you are trying to encounter a Pokemon.

Traveling
During your Pokemon journey, you must give detail of where your going and how you are going? There will be a thread for map layouts to show where you are going, what Pokemon are lurking, and shortcut routes.
If you have Pokemon that can use a HM move to clear obstacles, it is not required. If you are fully aware that a certain Pokemon that can use a certain HM move to handle a situation to navigate on your journey, you just have to command them to do so in your post.
If in your game for example Farfetch'd that has moves such as Wing Attack, Sword Dance, Return, and Slash, you can still get it to use a HM move to cut weak branches that obstruct your path. It is legal since it can learn HM move(s).
To fly, if you have a small Pokemon you cannot ride on them but you can have a small Pokemon ride on them. Medium sizes you can. Large Pokemon, you can get 2 people to ride on it.
If you have running shoes, this permits you to run faster than usual in your role-play.
If you have a bicycle, you can ride through flat areas with little or no bumps. You can ride them in caves as well. You cannot ride them through very tall grasses, narrow mountains/steeps, and deep jungles.

Wild Encounter
During the role-play, according to your map if you are going to navigate through the areas inhabited by Pokemon, you must roll dice in post action.
It must be 8 sided die, and rolled 3 times. Whatever number combination you get, you may or may not be targeted by a wild Pokemon. If you are, your are forced to battle a mod. The mod will use a random number of Pokemon and use what is seen on the roll. The Pokemon they use will be based on the encounter chance chart that is shown in the map guide.

Interaction
The interaction in role-play is when you meet another character from the point your are in. You are allowed to use your inner most character when interacting. (Try not to be too offensive and try not to take it too offensive.) You must be literate. Interpret what you want your role-playing character should say in your post. If you may think its too confusing to understand, put a parentheses (()) under what you said and translate what you mean?

Tournaments
Your role-playing talents are also used here. But for tournaments and fight arenas, you are allowed to change your team before a match.

Party
You cannot change the Pokemon of your party if you are not at a Pokemon Center in the role-play.

Defeated
If you are defeated in battle (excluding tournaments and fight arenas), you lose a certain amount of T.EXP. points. If you lose in fight arenas, your wagered money is gone. (Sometimes, you can have a rematch, but the wager is 3 times as high).
If all your Pokemon are knocked out during the regular role-play, you cannot engage in battles until you get to a Pokemon Center or a place to rest. Every town has one. Some routes where the next town is far away, a cottage, hotel/motel or a Pokemon center may reside.
If one or more of your Pokemon is knocked out, you cannot use them until they are revived.
When your Pokemon are being healed at a Pokemon Center, it takes 1-6 hours for them to get better. You can either continue role-playing by exploring, or wait the hours before you can continue using your Pokemon on your journey.

Were trying to use real time as much as possible, please do your best to get used to it.

VII. Capturing a Pokemon

To capture a Pokemon in the role-play you need to bundle up on balls in the role-play. You cannot capture Pokemon in actual wi-fi battles, but you can post your attempt to capture a Pokemon in the role-play.
To initiate capture, when you post, it must be post action. You must roll a die or a set of dice. Depending on what ball you use, you have to select a die block with a certain number of sides. The ball details will tell you the number range of successful catch. If you do not get a number within the range, the ball breaks and you fail to capture.
You can only throw 5 ball capsules at once. The only limit there is to capturing Pokemon is how many ball capsules you have.
However if the one of the early results say that you capture a Pokemon, the other balls that were used at once go to waste.
You cannot capture Pokemon if you have no ball(s) to begin with.
You can only use ball capsule(s) in wild battles. They cannot be used in trainer battles or any sort.
The exception to the rule is the Master Ball. The Master Ball has no number range, meaning capture is always successful.
Be warned, if you capture a certain Pokemon in the role-play event, there won't be another plot event for that particular Pokemon anytime in the future.
There are a variety of ball capsules that are made to capture a specific Pokemon or easily capture a Pokemon at a certain time or place has a extended catch ratio.
