The Gym's pool is the main focal point of the building. It has high glass ceilings that let much of the natural sunshine and starlight shine through to the swimmers underneath. Around the edges are usually lounge chairs, except for days when there are swimming competitions. When meets are held, stands are erected on the long sides of the pool. Not shown is a high-dive board that the diving team uses to train. At one end of the pool there is a scant 3 feet of water. The other end is deep enough to accommodate Olympic diving standards.

There was one flood-light illuminating the area, but there didn't seem to be any other sort of security device. He knew the pool would have the same kinds of locks that the dorms did - those card swipey ones - and he'd discovered how to crack those without too much trouble.
"Keep a look-out for Ella and Colin while I check this out. It should be straight forward to get into..."
He slid his custom made instrument down into the key slot, probing the mechanism inside. It buzzed faintly for a moment and Samyule frowned. This one was more sophisticated than the others, but logic told him that if the school used the same manufacturer for every lock, he'd be able to figure it out.
"The Girls' dorm was difficult too, but not to worry. I have experience at this kind of thing." He shot Rosie a deviant grin, and then returned to his careful probing of the lock. d o n ' t x g r o w x u p ┊ ✿xxxxx★:「 EVERY 」stop I GET TOxxxxxxxxI'mCLOCKINGthat g a m exxxxxxxx▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ xxx • • • x bonafide hustler ┊ just making my name ✔xxxxxxxx。Perryxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Rosie nodded, still recovering from her laughter. Clinging to his back as they'd escaped the dorm grounds was the most fun she'd had in ages. Though, she couldn't help but feel that if she was serving as look-out, it wasn't Ella or Colin that she should have been watching for. If they were caught, the consequences would be bad. But, was she really afraid of the consequences so much as who was dealing them out? Really, she should have been more careful. If Miss Souris was disappointed in her, then maybe she wouldn't get the help she needed. Anna was the only professor who didn't agitate her in any way... and was practically, to her, the only one who had offered what felt like genuine help.
But, Rosie shook her head slightly. No, this was going to be alright. It had to be, for their sake. "Just don't bust anything..." she whispered to Yule.

Grumbling, Colin walked alongside his sister, his face hidden in the hood of his sweatshirt. Being half angel, whenever he went outside at night, his skin took on a faint glow, like a beacon. He could control it at will, but it took a lot of concentration, so he preferred just to wear clothing to cover his skin. "I can't believe I'm doing this." He mumbled, glancing over at his sister, who was walking barefoot through the dirt at the gardens to the pathway to the pool. She never seemed to get too cold or too warm, and was of course, happy in any weather. She was just wearing shorts and a tee-shirt over her bikini, unused flip-flops dangling from a finger in her left hand. He watched her squelch her toes in the dirt in every step and rolled his eyes. Typical Ella. "Oh, lighten up, Colin. This might be fun for you." Ella said, nudging him with her elbow and smiling. She didn't often break rules, but that didn't mean she was averse to doing so either. They had bumped into each other on the way here and had fallen into step beside one another without question. They knew they were both just heading to the same place. "Might being the operative word here, Ellie." He replied, rolling his eyes, though Ella just continued to smile. They rounded a corner together, utterly silent in their steps, and Ella smiled softly when she spotted the two of them standing near the door to the pool. She delicately picked her way over, said a quiet 'Hello.' to Yule and gave Rose a quick, impulsive nod. "Ellie, remember. Personal space." Colin said, looking at his sister and smirking as she turned to stick her tongue out at him. "Shush you." With that, she took up a post next to Rosie, listening to the night chatter of animals, who were happy enough to alert her if someone were to draw near. Colin only spared Yule a glance-he wasn't too fond of him, really- and then turned his eyes to look at the little red-haired girl next to his sister. It was hard to exactly see his expression in the dark while he wore that hood, but the slight nod of greeting he sent her was clear enough. Really, he thought Grove should have made far better use of their time than trying to secure weights and balls and things. Although, the more he probed, the more he realized that the lock must have been fabricated to work with something besides a normal key.
He figured that this was a school for people with strange powers. Maybe it was designed so that it would open for those with a certain power? that was the only thing he could think of, but he knew from experience that any lock could be picked if given enough time.
That made the resounding "SNICKT" of the lock release mechanism even more satisfying. He had been starting to wonder if their adventure wasn't doomed from the start. But he smiled and stood up, working the kinks out of his fingers. "Took long enough, but at least we'll have the place to ourselves, right?"
He led them in, past the large gym area that included places for playing sports like basketball and volleyball, and past the locker rooms. It was deserted, and they had to turn on lights judiciously as they went - really big lighted areas would have been easily seen from the outside, so he avoided turning them on. "Ok, I've got to change, but the pool is through those doors. Don't turn on the lights because someone will see. There's enough moon light and starlight to swim by. Makes it more fun, I think."
He let them into the pool's room before rushing back to the locker room to put on his own suit. d o n ' t x g r o w x u p ┊ ✿xxxxx★:「 EVERY 」stop I GET TOxxxxxxxxI'mCLOCKINGthat g a m exxxxxxxx▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ xxx • • • x bonafide hustler ┊ just making my name ✔xxxxxxxx。Perryxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

To his nod Rosie sent her own, as she was sure that this was Ella's brother. Her stomach squirmed with the idea of a strange boy seeing her in her suit, but the feeling was replaced by her rebellion. This was supposed to be a fun little break-in, not some awkward social situation (as if she hadn't had enough).
But as they walked inside, Rosie grinned to herself. This could be awkward, yes, but certainly not for her. As they made their way to the pool, she felt no hesitation in just taking off her clothing to reveal the bikini she wore underneath. "So," she said in a whisper. "You guys ever do anything like this before?" No sooner was the question asked did Rosie let her jeans drop. Her clothing was scooped up and shoved into her bag, from where she pulled out her towel. In her swimsuit, Rosie looked lean and almost had an odd glow to her. It seemed the longer she was in Grove, the more her physical appearance took on a grace humans didn't possess. Whether it was the genes of an ancient psychic coming through or just the air of the place, Rosie was looking rather good.
She felt it, too. "Kinda exciting, isn't it?"

Smiling, Ella walked over to a nearby bench, tugging off her shirt and shorts. She was careful to fold them and set them on the bench, turning and darting towards the pool. She stopped to stand by Rosie, and directed her smile at the girl. "Surprisingly, yes. Actually no, I haven't. Dunno about Colin though..he's a bit of a rascal." She said with a slight laugh. Maybe it was just the fact that her adrenaline was pumping a little more at the thought of breaking the rules, or the fact that she was going to get to swim, but Ella was already enjoying herself and she hadn't even entered the water yet. Walking away from the red-head, Ella sat down next to the edge of the pool and dipped her feet in, splashing around a bit and hoping that they weren't going to get caught.
Meanwhile, while the girls talked softly to each other, Colin excused himself to a nearby bench and pulled off his shirt, showing off a toned and well formed chest- though he wasn't overly muscled, which was nice. He was already wearing his swim trunks, having prepared when he heard where they were going. Colin had spared Rosie a glance when she shed her clothing, but hadn't said anything. He'd seen plenty of girls in bikinis when he and his sister went to the pool so there wasn't much special in it. She was well-formed enough but he wasn't the type to gawk anyway.
Walking over, Colin dropped down next to his sister, and ruffled his black hair with a hand. It was only polite to let the ladies in first and to wait for their last companion though Colin didn't really think much of him anyway.

Samyule made use of the shadowed area bordering the pool and stalked around behind where the girls were sitting on the edge. He'd managed to change into his own shorts before, and he had to fight with himself a little in the mirror. He noticed that he'd lost a lot of the sheer body-mass that he used to keep while he was in Cirque. He could still do all of his moves easily, thanks to his powers mostly, but it was a little disappointing to see himself as less intimidating than he was before. All in all, though, he had to admit that for a High School student, he was better toned than most. That at leas was something to be greatful for. And his olive skin had lightened after being so long away from the harsh Indian sun. Now, he was fit to blend in with any of the lighter skinned Bollywood actors! There was something sad in that revelation. Putting all this aside, and bending to a new purpose gave him energy. He willed adrenaline to pump through his body, giving him the strength and agility he needed to pull off this next trick. With a wild "WHOO HOOO!" He sprinted forward towards the backs of the girls, launched himself into a series of flips and managed to complete a twisting layout over their heads. He came upside down directly over their heads, but was sure to place him directly inbetween them in case he was lower than he expected. The splash he made as he landed in the water was pretty epic, and he found himself laughing amdist the bubbles as he rose back to the surface. "Haha, how come no one's swimming yet?'His grin was wide with boyish enthusiasm. He felt eight years old again, hopping from one train to another.

Rosie jumped at his yell, and as her eyes scanned to the side to see what the noise was about, Yule came twisting and turning right over her head. She didn't really understand just what he could do until that moment when he was just a blur plunging into the water. All those stories about being in the circus, she wondered. Was he considered a true star?
When he came bobbing back up, Rosie's own laughter was joining his. This kid was amazing! "I don't have that flair!" she said. Not that it would stop her at all. The short young lady was already getting back on her feet and taking a few measured steps for a leap. "But here goes!"
Rosie, not knowing what else she could do and not really caring about it either way, just did a cannonball. The real skill was how she managed to suppress her scream as she plunged into the slightly cold water, but just like Yule, she broke the surface in giggles.

-is lazy and will do posting style later-
The group continued on with their swimming for a few minutes in what seemed to be a kind of cautious enjoyment. Everyone knew that they had the pool to themselves and that this was alone something to revel in, but the idea of getting caught still nagged everyone's mind.
Rosie was beginning to feel a bit paranoid with every loud cry someone gave or a splash made. What would happen if they did get caught? She'd been caught doing worse things, she thought as she swam towards the edge of the pool. Damaging private property, trespassing on private property... But this was their school, right? Their pool. Their time to live.
She kept giving herself these encouraging answers to every doubt. But just as she thought her butterflies had finally flown away for good, she remembered something important. "s**t." Her hair straightener... she'd left it on.
It was such a stupid mistake, such a simple thing to forget, but if that thing was left on for too long, something was bound to burst into flame or melt. What if it was too close to some flammable makeup product? Dammit dammit dammit.
Rosie hoisted herself out of the pool and onto the concrete floor. "Yule," she called out. "Or Sam, whatever," she muttered. She kept forgetting just what to call him. He seemed laid back enough to not care either way, though. "You're gonna hate me for this, but I have to go back."

Surprised, Samyule looked over at her. "Had enough already?" He didn't want to seem disappointed, but things were still awkward between all of them. There was no denying in anybody's mind that he and Colin weren't on the best of terms, and though he had shared dinner and pre-nighttime drama with Rosie and Ella, they weren't exactly warm and fuzzy either. Maybe Rosie was picking up on the strange ambiance there and just wanted a way out.
Still, with things so tenuous it was probably better to do what she wanted. Yule still didn't forget that if her powers got away from her, she could probably make that glass roof shatter and explode. Wouldn't that be a nice little morning 'how do you do' for the maintenance men? He wondered vaguely if there were any other students with psychic powers they could pin it on if it happened, but then again Rosie and the others didn't seem the type to lay blame on someone else unjustly. So much for survival.
Samyule glided gracefully over to the side of the pool and pulled himself up over the side. "Well, if you're going, I have to follow you to get you back to your dorm. Someone will have locked the doors again probably, and the last thing any of us need is to be caught." He didn't bother drying off, the air would take care of that, so he just rolled up his towel and draped it around his neck like a scarf. "Shame none of us can fly. That would make being a deviant so much easier..."

Rosie had to laugh at that. Flying, invisibility, super speed... all were powers she didn't have and wished she did instead of her insane psychic abilities. But hey. With those, she could... close windows. Lame, she thought as she grabbed her bag of clothing.
"We'll be back!" was all she said to Ella and Colin before turning her back on them. Rosie still didn't have a good hold on what it meant to be consistently polite. Maybe she would get better at it after some more quality time, regardless of whether or not that time was spent breaking in somewhere.
She looked to Yule with her head slightly cocked to the side as she pulled on her shirt. "I do have a key, you know. But it'd probably be better if we just went through the window... somehow." Though how, she wasn't so sure of. She sure as hell couldn't make the jump, and if Yule could, they'd have to make sure it was even the right window. Rosie hadn't been there long enough to remember just where she was from the outside looking in. "Any ideas on that?"

With Rosie in tow, he began the secretive trudge out of the pool. Colin and Ella were perfectly safe there on their own, and he would come back for them after he took Rosie home. It hadn't been in his plans to leave the two of them alone together and take off with Rosie. It only made sense that Colin would be after her, seeing as she was the only female besides his sister, and that Yule would be left with Ella. Strange how things turned out. He wasn't sure what the protocol was in this situation, but he found he couldn't do anything about it anyway. He just hoped that when he got back, Colin wasn't going to try and blast him through a wall again.
In response to Rosie's question, he held up his hands like claws, and wiggled his fingers. "Climbing. It's worked for centuries and I happen to be very good at it." There were enough nooks and crannies between the stones on the exterior of the girls' dorm to make climbing possible. He'd climbed things with less hand-holds before. Namely: trains moving at crazy speeds through the Indian countryside. "It's probably best if we're not breaking curfew. Imagine, for a moment, if someone sees you using a key to get into the dorms. Imagine, also, how it would go over with a boy in tow." He shrugged his shoulders indicating his dislike for the potential outcome.
"I'd feel terrible if any of you were caught because of my idea." They'd reached the outside of the gym, and he stopped her for a moment while he checked carefully for anyone wandering around outside. There was one figure in the distance, or maybe two - he couldn't tell - and he knew by the shape of them that they were wearing Grove Academy's uniforms. They must be some of the night students. Samyule knew they wouldn't blow any whistles and probably wouldn't care one way or another that they were out of the dorms, but he still had the distinct desire to stay away from them. He waited until they passed and waved her out of the gym. Together they walked in dark paths back to the dorms. "Still," he continued, "Things were too boring the way they were. 'oh, let's have tea! yes, let's do, and then we'll frolic together'" He mimicked a British accent, not trying to say anything about their new British friends. It was a habit of his to mock anything in this voice. He supposed it stemmed from the anti-British sentiment amongst the street gangs back home.

Her stifled little laugh almost gave them away. Rosie had to agree, at least on the 'drink some tea' bit. There was always something easy to mock about British people, with their sophistication seemingly bred into their bones. Ella had been very kind and patient with her, though. Colin... had seemed cold. But Rosie had to wonder, what did he see in her? She was an American. Apple pie, baseball, be an individual and pursue your dreams. What could he say about her inescapable culture?
But she felt like this wasn't the best time to throw that question at him. Really, how would that have gone? "Chip chip cheerio, and wot wot! Now, let's impersonate an American!" It could only be awkward.
Plus there was a good chance she was only trying to pick a fight, like always. To Rosie, it didn't matter what race you were or what culture you came from. She had learned to set up barriers against everyone. Dirty looks were universal. Yule, though, was her official friend, even if he had pushed a button earlier that day. He'd helped her sneak out and was making sure she got back alright. Surely that meant something, or should have?
Rosie shook herself back to the present. She'd been keeping quiet up until then, but as her dorm came into view, she had to heave an audible sigh of relief. "Damn... I feel like a spy or something. And I'm just trying to get back into my own room."
