Ken gets a notice about the fall festival and calls his dad. "Hey dad what's up?....ya their is this fall festival family thing and I wanna know can you come and check it out?....huh?....ya okay...no its okay I under stand..." Ken sighs. "...Okay dad bye.." Ken hangs up.

Kimiko was setting up lanterns and she noticed Ken was looking sad. "Hi," Kimiko said to Ken.

Ken looks up. "Oh hey Kimiko.." his voice sounds sad, yet he forces a smile.

"I...um...kinda listened in on your phone call to your dad, these ears are sharp at listening, i'm sorry your dad won't come to the festival, but you're lucky to have a mom and dad. My parents left me when I was 8 years old because they found out i was learning black magic. They thought I was a demon because of my black magic," Kimiko said.

"Its okay...but at least you still have BOTH your parents..I swear if my mom was still alive-" Ken stopped talking..."I'm sorry I gotta go..if you need me i'll be at my dorm..okay?" he smiles forcfully one last time then he goes to his dorm.

Christi jumped down from a nearby tree with streamers and balloons in her hand. " This is horrible... both of his parents won't be able to come.... my mom's in Japan and of course my dad will be here........" She let out a deep sigh and grabbed a couple more balloons to decorate the garden.

Ken dropped his cell phone when he went back to his dorm.

Kimiko saw that Ken dropped his cell phone then she picked it up, "Well i better give it back to him," Kimiko opened a portal that led to Ken's dorm and went through it with Ken's cell phone.
