» Extremely cautious and pretty darn skittish for a creature his size - big even for his species! - Heibai won't allow himself to trust anyone he comes across until he gets to know them well enough. Once you get to know him and he opens up, he's a gentle giant and tends to act much like the cub he used to be before the death of his family.

He knows how to hunt, having taught himself at a young age, but this tiger knows little to none about defending himself due to not having anyone around him permanently all his life. All of this leaves him mortified at the thought of death and himself dying. It probably doesn't help out much that he's completely color blind, to the point where everything Heibai sees is in black and white, sometimes minor grays if he strains his eyes. >:

The Beginning - - - - - -
» Heibai Seng had a fairly nice childhood, born into a small family with only his mother at the time before his two younger sisters came along just a year later. Everything was going great for the young cub, until the following winter, which was particularly harsh, left his mother sickly and weaker than before. She tried to fend the usual predators away from her cubs, but eventually fell to the territorial fangs of the area's pack of gray wolves. Heibai tried to fend them off as well, but not knowing what to do since he was just a cub, his sisters were killed off as well. Failing to see any other way out, he ran. He would have been killed off as well, if the wolves had chosen to, but they allowed him to flee, not seeing any reason to waste their energy any further.
