Preview Video. Electric Sheep is a screensaver that shows everchanging patterns on your monitor. Everytime it runs it downloads more patterns so once you have this running for a few weeks you have a hard time seeing the same pattern twice (unless you sit right in front of it the whole time). "Sheep", as the patterns are called, are breed with other popular sheep based on an up or down voting on people's keyboard. Like a pattern? Vote it up and see it more often. Vote down to delete.
As the screensaver runs, your computer is put to work! Your computer renders more frames of the pattern and contributes it to the master server making anyone with E.S. participating in a sort of "Super Computer" to create these patterns.
The screensaver works on MacOSX, Linux, and Windows.
